    Quadlock has a vibration damping adapter for their mounts. I assume this was developed to overcome the Apple camera issue.

      There was another video where they tested the edficacy of the damper with an app that mesures the amount of vibration. The result isnt necessarily impressive.

    I have a Honda CB300F which is by no means a high-powered motorcycle. It fried my iPhone 12 camera in a week. I didn’t know what happened to the phone and it was still under warranty and Apple replaced the camera for free. It’s ridiculous that they would call it user error. Thats how you use a phone if you ride. I used to have an old LG phone and it never had this issue. Goes to show sometimes new technology brings new problems. I just keep my phone in my pocket now and use the audio for navigation.

    • @PASSIONBUILT

      Glad to hear you were able to have the camera replaced without any issues! But yeah, riding with the phone in the pocket is always the safest bet. Less distractions and never have to worry about that camera issue.

    Jon, good video. I m not a fan of apple. However, I think it should apply to all made of phone. I only mount phone to handlebar when I get lost and needed gps help. Otherwise it is a distraction and constantly worrying about flying phone😄😄

    • @PASSIONBUILT
      @PASSIONBUILT  2 года назад

      Thanks Peter! As much as I would like to say this applies to all phones. The main phone that is having this issue is the iPhone. But I completely agree with you. Phones mounted on the handlebars are too distracting.

    • @PASSIONBUILT
      @PASSIONBUILT  Месяц назад

      From my experience of putting my phone on my magnetic gas tank bag. I’ve never had any issues and I would say it’s a safe spot for your phone. I’ve never personally used saddle bags but they should prevent the harsh vibrations from going to your phone. When the phone is hard mounted to the bike, it causes the harsh vibrations to go directly to your phone and cause damage.
