My husband's from Nashville, he was born there 1955. When he was a teenager, he and his friends would skip school and go down to Printer's Alley and watch Elvis, Tom Jones, Chuck Berry and all sorts of singers like Loretta Lynn go in their studio to record songs! He said he got a lot of beatings for missing school but he wouldn't have traded the experience for the world LOL!
Tom is 80 now and can still sing many of the younger singers of today off the stage.
The dance moves are a little more rigid however, even with a drop of WD-40.

Yes! This is his iconic hit!! He used to have a TV show called “This is Tom Jones“ and he would go out there and dance and the women would act crazy. I was just a little girl and I’m like what the hell is this...lol I get it now. There is a video of him doing a great medley duet with Stevie Wonder, fabulous fabulous!

The original recording was longer but on those variety shows back in the day artists sometimes did shorter versions of their songs so they could fit more songs in their allotted times. That way they could do their current or recent hit and then promote a new release. Tom was a beast !
