Tom, a treasure from lovely little Wales, land of song, where the men are men and the women are glad of it. The microphone was a Welsh invention. Tom is 81 now and can still sing, putting so many to shame.. He and his wife Linda had a son when they were 16. He was naughty with many women but they stayed married for 59 years until she died from cancer.

You are correct. Actually it was done in collaboration with the British band called Art of Noise for their 1988 album titled "The best of Art of Noise" featuring Tom Jones on lead vocals. :-)

Tom and Elvis were the chick magnets back in those days and they were also good friends. Who knows how many women these two kissed back in the day. I think Tom is working on The Voice UK right now and he's still going strong. I saw Tom 2 nights in a row. My college roomie and I and he was so great, we went the next night. The 2nd night this little old lady next to me encouraged me to go close to the stage and take photos. I did. When I got back, she asked me if I saw his jewels???? It took me a minute to realize from what she said next that she wasn't talking about his jewelry. True story.

The album Reload, by Tom Jones is awesome. He collaborated with a bunch of different artists in 1999 to remix a lot of his old songs to modernize them.
I was in elementary school when this song came out. He had his own variety show. Meaning, the comedy, and music and maybe a little bit of talk. My mom was in love with Tom Jones and I got to like a pretty good too. I still got Tom Jones Greatest Hits that I bought back in the '90s.

I love his soulful voice!which still sounds strong and beautiful today💖. I was about 5 when he was in the prime of his stardom in the U.S., but even then I liked watching him perform, he was so entertaining, his swag just drew you in, he obviously learned that from Elvis. I remember My mom and aunt would run to the tv to see him, then would complain about hot flashes 😆 Lol.
