You Knew the black wheels wouldn't last long on the Chevrolet SS. If you have watched in the past I have removed black wheels from other cars. I just think it looks cheap. In todays video we replace the VMR wheels on the SS with a set of CTS-V wheels. They are the stock wheels off of my wife's old CTSV. I have seen a few pictures with these on a Chevy SS and loved the way they looked. Since I know the guy who bought the CTS-V I hit him up for a trade. He was happy to have the black wheels on his car. Check it out and let me know what you think.

I’ve got the same wheels and tires on my ss with SSL’s and you can run a 8mm spacer on the rear without rubbing or rolling if you want it more flush. Love the polished look!

Great idea I'd say you come out on top. White ss logos would be sick. Wheel weight stickers. Plastic razor gloves brake cleaner.

What is that red pad you're using to scrub the barrels? Is that a scotch pad or 3000 grit??

@@TWAMotorsports Any danger damaging clear coat with that? I'm trying to clean the barrels of some Speedlines from my 1998 Trans Am and don't want to damage the clear.
@@Steve126a generally the barrel is not cleared but it would mess up the clear.
I hit a pot hole with my SS and bent the shit out of the back rims. I wasn't sure what I wanted but wanted it back on the road ASAP. I found a set of rear Bremmer Kraft BR 09 black for under 200 for the set. they stopped making that rim for the SS is why it was so Cheap. now I want the fronts. I find the rims i want but says not available for the SS. I can't even do a search for this rim for my SS. Says not available. Fronts are already smaller than the rears any way, so I would go 18 on the front if I had to, but still says not available. As long as the rim is 19 X 8.5 or 18 X 8.5 and the tire matches up with the rim. It should fit. am i right. My car says 40mm offset when these are 45, its not within 5 mm of hitting. or is it. I would still think that would fit.

Honestly I had more to say but I got distracted. This ride looks way better . I’m glad you got rid of the black wheels those are too mainstream and they don’t accent very many cars or truck because there not much contrast. So kudos to you for going your own route.

Much better. I'm not a fan of black wheels either. Well black with polished or chrome highlights are sweet but those flat black wheels everybody likes remind me of a railroad work truck. Hey if that's your thing great be a work truck but for me I need some pizzazz on my rides.

hey bro... gotta question for ya if i could please... i was actually just searching for ur video on the umi (or bmr?) "fender-brace-somethin-or-other-brackets" & cant find em, i remember watchin it awhile back now, & i think u were puttin em on the ta... & i do appoligize that my comment has nothin to do with the current video, but i knew ud be the man to ask, havin been there & done that... im working on my 98 formula as we speak, finished the full tilt suspension build a while back, but now im hearing a noise... after pulling the front wheel off lookin for the source, i discovered my front passenger fender, at the bottom between the wheel & the door just under those 2 lil vents, where it rolls up under the car, is loose & probably flopping around & could be the source of my noise? ...the fenders good but the plastic fender well is cracked (which i rekon ill need to replace now) & from what i can see, it seems to be part of the lower attachment point? ...anyways, could u possibly be kind enough to share a lil knowledge with ur f-body brother & tell me if u think those brackets (& where to get em?) would help hold this lower edge of the front fender in place? & at the risk of sounding like a butt-kisser (haha) i really do enjoy ur vids dude, & grateful for all ive learned from watchin u work on urs, especially the fbodies... & thanx in advance for any info/help u could share, 'priciate cha bro!

I'm not sure that is your issue but it could be. If the fender is moving going down the highway I'm sure it would make noise.
@@TWAMotorsports awesome dude... ill go look it up... not sure thats the issue either, just fabbed up a temporary bracket to hold it & took her for a spin & still got the wierd noise... but im still gonna go to dse's site & check those out cause reguardless of if thats the noise or not, i still may need those... think ill take her over to one of my best buds whose a professional mechanic & well put it on his lift & give her a "check-up" ...truly appreciate it bro, ur a class act, thanx!
