Appliances are disposable unless you can fix them yourself using these great videos. I had a repairMAN look at my dishwasher and told me that nothing is wrong with it despite the fact that IT DIDN'T WORK. I diagnosed, purchased the part and repaired it using this video. So very easy and inexpensive. Don't waste your money on a repairman - DIY!

Not every Professional is a Fraud. Do your research on the Tech and check his Credentials. I myself went to school for Appliance Repair and do this Work everyday. Not a lot of people are handy and mess more up on the appliance then they actually fix from watching these video's. Always keep that in Consideration. Should you need a Professional again at some point ask for his PSA Card. He doesn't have one. Send him on his way.

I called a repairman, he figured the fill valve was bad. He quoted $90 ($40 online) for the valve and $275 for the labor. I took out the valve in 15 minutes to test it. 10 minutes back in, and the valve costs $40. (the valve is OK something else is wrong.)

Nicely done! Was a big help with my control panel install. Perhaps a video on how to keep roaches out of your dishwasher door is in order! Thanks again!

Remember to reset the computer after the repair or sometimes it will not clear the code, Thanks for the video it helped a lot.

Going to replace my module but don't understand your "reset the computer remark" how is that done, thanx.

Turning the power off reset a computer on anything. Unless there is a backup battery.@@markwalters4453

Excellent video. Have a somewhat-similar KitchenAid dishwasher (from 2010) and this video was about 90% accurate. One major difference is my model does not have a custom door, and no retaining pin holding it on once all of the screws are out. Also, the two control panel screws near the main latch actually thread into the door and need to come off to remove the door. Besides that, swapping the control board was more or less an identical process. Curious how long this board will last!

How did you know the board was bad and not the touchpad? My dishwasher won't fill and the fill valve works correctly, I tested it. Thanks.

@@carlc88 Honestly, it was somewhat of a guess. I had found others online experiencing the same issue I was (every week or so, I had to cut power at the breaker to the dishwasher, as the whole thing would go unresponsive) so I figured replacing the main board had a good shot at fixing it. Good luck!

Nothing like replacing a one inherently bad and faulty mainboard with a new board with with the same inherent issues...only to fail exactly the same way in the very near future. Kitchenaide needs a class action lawsuit.

What was the problem with your dishwasher?
And what lead you to change the main board ?

    • @bluethumbdiy4735

@@Cndfirr Usually it's not the mainboard but some other error causing a fault that prevents a comlete cycle. For example, in my case, too much scale on the heating element and TDS sensor was causing a fault that required a reset to get a good wash cycle (probably a calibration issue). However, I found that using citric acid every cycle cleaned the scale off the element and TDS sensor, and now my washer runs perfectly without requiring periodic resets. I've tested out not using the citric acid and after a few cycles I get an error. When I return to using it, zero issues again. The other added benefit is the inside of my washer looks brandnew again. I buy 5-pound bags of powered citric acid from Amazon and it lasts a very long time. Anyway, it's a very high maintenance washer, which I think the same can be said for all so-called "smart washers".

We replaced the control panel, not the control board, and the dishwasher worked twice. Now it won't go from wash to rinse again. It just runs in wash cycle for hours. Is this a control panel problem? Would like to know before I spend more $$$. Thank you.

RepairClinic is awesome. Whirlpool/ Kitchenaid is pretty poor though. Ours melted wires and this control board. Common problem and unacceptable.

This guy had a burnt looking control board and just cleaned the contacts up. The wires get loose and that causes heating. ruclips.net/video/65zrtRPnPhk/видео.html

@@drakedorosh9332 Thanks - after inspecting mine it was actually just the board. All the connectors were perfect and what I thought was melting on the wires was the sound insulation transferring from the tub to the wires. On mine the relays on the heater circuit overheated and melted and at a minimum smoked... possibly a brief flame. Either way, after 6 or 7 repairs on my Kitchenaid in 7 years... this was the final straw. It has made its way to the dump and been replaced with a Bosch. So far so good on the Bosch.

Does anyone know how to remove the TouchPad from kude60hxss3 model? It's really stuck on and not easily removed like all the other videos I've seen. I need to get to the door latch. Please help 🥺

Really sad when the parts and time aren't worth the repair. Junkyard and roll the dice for the next manufacturer.

That is absolutely untrue. This is a $150+ part with an extremely basic replace guide with an install time of max 20 minutes. You'd rather spend $650+ for a new machine? That is not including delivery fees, install/removal of current and new machine. You're crazy and lazy.
Thanks for another great repair guide video @RepairClinic.com

@@jonszelog7959 shouldnt be broken after only two years to begin with... I'm I have two kitchenaid dishwashers.. one is dead in 2 years the other in 5. Appliances should run for at least 10 IMHO.
