Had an idea for a video if you want it. This was done in the battles of Gustavus Adolphus. He would use his pistol armed cav to charge infantry lines and fire their weapons. Retreating just of range only to do it again repeatedly. The infantry would be engaged with other infantry or the cav themselves chasing them. Have two lines of infantry fire at each other. When the enemy rank fires its third volley or perhaps before charge from the flanks and allow dragoons or carbineers to charge and shoot them. Retreating back if they themselves become the target of the enemy fire moving them out of distance allowing them reload. Charge the cavalry again once the enemy re-engages your line infantry firing upon them again or if depleted sufficiently charge the cavalry in from the rear or flank. Lastly, for good measure charge the infantry with their bayonets. It tends to happen that once an enemy is engaged from its flank or rear, it turns to meet wherever the charge came from, so charging your line infantry should hurt their moral further causing casualties. Ultimately, this should cause a route depending on quality of the line infantry as well as faction picked. I love this game too much 😅.
Hi, I would recommend this two www.moddb.com/mods/imperial-splendour www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?1930-Imperial-Destroyer I used only a couple of soldiers models from the first one
One of my favorite tactics when playing persia is to put camel gunners behind my line infantry. Since qizilbashi musketeers can't learn any fire tactics it makes a good comb and is also great at detering cavalry (cus camels)
@@Niclaas1999 Yeah just a small change to a file in the game lets you play as the minor faction. Persia is quite fun, same roster as the Mughal empire but you a more central area and have decede expansion options.
What kind of 4d chess is this? Cavs breaking your own infantry line to charge enemies ahead and the whole scene erupted into chaos ? Wouldn't it make more sense to leave space between companies so when the cavs are placed behind them would have a easier access to the enemy without disrupting the infantry ?
in real life? Yes, In empire? No no no companies reform easily just move them a couple paces, in this case the creator ordered all to charge, charging doesnt need formed ranks and infrantry breaks their ranks when they are close to home anyway
This one is normal. I would suggest to play battles on hard in the campaign. Sea battles then will be both interesting and challenging. On expert difficulty they are more about removing masts and sails. It would be boring very soon. Land and naval battles on normal difficulty are too easy in my opinion.
Your content has tought me new tactics with the whole infantry with grenadier behind thing. Love your videos.
man you love empire lmao, I love it too though
God, I'm so glad RUclips's algorithm has brought me your content.
You good sir are a gentlemen...giving us content on a old gem like empire...Subscribed👍 wish CA could give us a remaster on this🔥
Keep up this good work man, not enough channels making this type of content!
Been watching all of your recent vids, had to sub

one thing really want to know is how to make good use of the artillery (for long range)

Wouldn't it be easier to just put the cav on the flank?
@A H It gets absolutely brutal with Shaturnals as they have 90 range and can fire over your infantry.

Hello, what mod did you use in the video?

What difficulty is this? I think of all Total War games Empire should be played on normal.
