Cloud destroys 1st Boss in 1 turn!? Level 15

- This #short shows Cloud defeating the first boss (Guard Scorpion) in one hit at the first reactor. One limit break to be more precise. I attempted this many times at level 14 but the critical hits in Meteorian would not happen. Took a few attempts at level 15. No hacks or mods on this one, just pure grinding.

That was funny xD. As a kid I think I died to this boss about 8 times? Now today he’s like a little ordinary fight. But seeing you kill with one shot was hilarious.
This one was inspired by all the people that died 8 times to this boss. 😂

Yes. I skipped one of the level 2 to keep level down on Cloud. Wanted to see what the lowest level was to one shot him.

Grinding levels in a mako reactor means killing hundreds of soldiers.
It was approximately 200 kills to obtain Meteorain. The levels came naturally during the Limit Break grind. Level 14 seemed to be the average for Cloud. In the Barret short. I was able to get Angermax/Ungarmax by level 14. KO’d Cloud at level 10-12 to speed it up.

In Remake this would take a quarter of its health to trigger a cutscene and basically go completely to waste.

Honestly, it's not that hard... to get cross slash, you need to use breaver 9 times. To get blade beam, you have to kill 155 enemies. So kill 310 enemies and use a limit 18 times.
I have everyone at level 2 limit break before air buster. Mainly because I like killing air buster in 3 limit breaks. Watching Tifa beat rush and Summersault to victory has always been satisfying, lol
@@chaosstorm8307 You’re right that it’s not that hard, but I think numbers are off a little bit. I think it’s 8 LB for Cross-Slash. 120 kills for blade beam. 7 LB for Climhazzard. 80 kills for Meteorain. I skipped Climhazzard in this video. So probably even easier. Just a small grind. 😀
@Infinite Final Fantasy honestly, I can't remember. Did you do this on 4 with the turbos? I hope so, because if not it was a good few hours to get Meteorain lol
2 - 3 hours. I have 2 or 3 different saves attempting this differently while trying to find a “quick” grind. I have tried to take boss down in one turn at level 14, but about 20 tries no luck. Maybe not enough criticals or stats to pull it off at 14.
I still remember when I played the game and grinded away at each characters Limit levels as soon as they were obtained, that I had the opportunity to get clouds Lvl 4 Limit break before the end of disc 1!
Aerith Limit Break was a good one to grind early also. Since there wasn’t too much time to enjoy them.

In the PS store release just pushing the Share button keeps Limits up infinite so you can use them multiple times each battle enemy permitting that is
I am not sure if I own this on PS. Would be awesome for testing or some quick gameplay. I think the only perk/cheat I ever used was the Draw one for final fantasy 8. But definitely had about 25 play throughs before that was even a thing.

I remember second boss clouds first move and the enemy didn't strike yet so additional pre-emptive bonus applies, but I had that, back attack bonus and critical strike all doing braver and hit over 1K damage EARLY!, didn't catch it but I know it is possible under normal game conditions
I had a save just before the 1st boss. Took multiple retries for random criticals to land and take it out in one LB. I did a little testing for other LB’s but Meteorain took the cake on this one. I believe I even tried many of Barrets LB’s.
@Infinite Final Fantasy ungarmax is perhaps the closest with barret however failed by the reduced damage to attack amount, as my guess which was best, possible but would take pulling a dick tree like move
I don’t think I’m ready to make those types of moves, but I am curious how Barret would do with that LB. Guess I know what I’m doing today. 😅

Ungarmax/Angermax is averaging about 28-30 per hit (x 18) at levels 15-17. So about 500-540ish total. It would take about 9-11 critical hits to one shot him at these levels. Assuming the boss has 800 HP. I have only seen about 3 criticals at most in about 50 tries.

I ended up taking a wrong turn in the Reactor. “2 Hours later…” Meteorain gained. 🤣

How many hours did it take you? Cause getting level 3 limit takes a shit ton of time
I lost a lot of saves to cloud synch… I found a save with 2:30 hours with full level 3 lb level 14 about one fight from 15. I retried this about 4 times while testing to see what was faster. Found a video showing 3 hours to get it.

Huh? I took Cloud and Barret in this battle at level 20 with their lvl.3 limits and they both had to hit to kill it 🤔
Cloud might depend on criticals still at that level. Barret should be able to do it alone though. Did you attack with Cloud first?

It was rare to get the criticals needed at level 15 with Cloud. Level 14 seemed impossible so I gave up. I had to reload the save multiple times at level 15. Barret I believe it was first try at level 18. Same, seemed impossible at 17.

This might be plausible. To obtain Meteorain you need to kill 200 enemies with Blade beam. But being lvl 15 nah bro after obtaining my blade beam by lvl 12 even grinding 200 enemies with Blade beam You would have been almost lvl 20. Nice try but editing video needs more work sorry. Got one shot though.
Hey there. It’s only 80 kills needed after obtaining and switching to Blade Beam. 200 total kills if you count the 120 needed to obtain Blade Beam. I actually got Meteorain at level 14, but I couldn’t get enough critical hits to pull this off at that level. I will work on better editing though. Thanks for the comment.

I was just playing with this, getting an idea what it would take to 1 shot melee scorp guard. I tested at lvl 22 with meteorrain tho.
Up to 27 and around 150 dmg, im expecting a few jumps. Most levels are only 1-2 tho
A lot of sources say that the Scorpion has 800 HP. Hopefully you get a nice critical in there.

Iam always high lvl early! I call it soul searching lol 😂 like Zidane before the hunt in lindbulm I lvl mash out side till character almost at 2000 hp rest of the game is cake lol

How'd you get low lvl meteorain? Because the lowest I can get is like 25-30
Hey. You just need 80 kills (last hit with Cloud) while limit break is set to level 2 to get Meteorain. Your level will vary depending on your play style. I focused on Cloud to unlock it “quickly” or should I say early level. Hope this helps.
Limit Break Unlocks. Top unlock is certain number of kills. Bottom unlock is using top limit break a certain number of times.
@@infinitefinalfantasy yeah was gonna say I already knew about top and bottom breaks, I forgot exactly how many kills you need with a specific character (this case Cloud) to get lvl2 and 3, personally I just charge through the game and then I get all lvl2 and 3 breaks when I first get yuffie from near Junon, then do it again for Vincent and Cid at rocket town

No real benefits. Just for fun. Unless you want to get characters their limit breaks early in the game with little or no Materia. You get Cloud and Aerith in party after reactor. I like to start on her limit breaks then.

I do have fun, thanks. First time doing this, that early in the reactor though. Over 100 play throughs. All played differently. Should I be speed running all classic jrpg’s? 😅
