  • When the snow flies, winter-lovers flock to the Moosehead Lake Region, where adventures await in the form of downhill skiing at Big Moose Mountain (formerly Big Squaw), dog sledding with Lone Wolf Guiding Services, snowmobiling over frozen Moosehead Lake, ice fishing for lake trout, cross-country skiing, ice racing on the frozen lake, and more!
ENE visits ice-bound Moosehead Lake to partake in all the above, as well as an incredible side trip to the remote and rustic Little Lyford Camps in the One Hundred Mile Wilderness for some spectacular crosscountry skiing and snowshoeing with the Appalachian Mountain Club. Also on tap is a seaplane plane ride around Mount Kineo, courtesy of The Birches Resort in Rockwood. It's a winter outdoor adventure extravaganza that's sure to get you excited about exploring the Moosehead Region in winter!

Such a professionally-produced video. Surprised you don't have 50,000 subscribers... Thanks for posting this.

@@ExploreNewEngland Will do! We're hoping to move to Maine sometime next year. Lived in Colorado for a few years climbing 14ers. Now, looking forward to this area. Cheers.
