Very nice presentation. Looks like you hit peak foliage. What made Vermont so special to me when I was growing up there, and spending 75 years of my life there, was the rural nature of it and the changing seasons. There are no billboards and no large cities; just hills, mountains, crystal clear streams, and deepwater lakes. And there are so many back roads to explore, with different views opening up around every bend. There are beautiful hillsides and valleys dotted with old farms and small settlements. At every crossroad it seems there's a quaint church or an old cemetery to explore. And there are endless hiking trails including the Long Trail that follows the spine of the Green Mountains from Massachusetts to Canada, and the Appalachian Trail.

"A Painting in Motion" is a great way to capture the essence of Vermont. I have been on most State, County and US roads in this most rural of states, and it is so relaxing and breathtaking. Perhaps for your work and budget, the inns and B&Bs did not work, but I heartily recommend staying at them - wonderful architecture, food, comfort and meeting others in beautiful settings. There are so many gorgeous small towns and you hit many of them (Brighton is one I do not recall being in, but it looks lovely). I took a week-long guided bike vacation in the Connecticut River Valley, and we stayed at wonderful inns in late Sept/early October. Brattleboro is a nice town due East from Bennington on the river across from NH. Woodstock is probably the prettiest, but Ludlow, Plymouth Notch (Coolidge homestead), Weston, Rochester, Dorset, Grafton, Brandon and Norwich are some of the other great towns. I would suggest people take a number of circular routes to crisscross the Green Mountains and discover out-of-the way villages, and maybe take in a church supper to meet locals, and eat real homemade New England cuisine. Lake Willoughby is gorgeous, so glad you included it, and Cold Hollow is a must-stop in the fall. If time permits, visitors should seek a side trip to Montreal, QC. VT is a state where the simple life prevails most everywhere (other than that South Burlington commercial area), and has the most beautiful roads (including interstates) in America! You almost feel like you are in a time warp, and it is so nice - no billboards, virtually no neon, and tons of arts & crafts make the landscape so pleasing. Even in the fall, Northern Vermont never appears too crowded, but southern and Central VT (especially Manchester & Woodstock) get very crowded. I owned some acreage near Chester and I love that town and its great location to see the rest of the state. You did a wonderful job on all 4 videos of these 3 spectacular New England states, and set yourself apart from many other videos! Best wishes!
Went through vermont in October 2016 during a tour of the New England States, I loved it, especially vermont, as good as these videos are, the real thing is spectacular.

I am a person from Idaho. Politics & costs aside in VT but both can have similar fall foliage during autumn, I was in love of being in Vermont since I was 14 for years and had a dream of moving to VT after visiting back in Nov 2021 of how peaceful and clean it was there and thought about once in a while visits when I went through a lot in Vermont. Once I graduate with a tech degree I could find a place in the New England region to visit the place more often. This place seemed to resemble heaven for me for the Green Mountain out of all 49 states in my opinion.
Been visiting Vermont for almost 20 years taking advantage of the great skiing there, Killington, MT Snow, Okemo, Stratton mountain, Jay Peak and Sugarbush. All the mountains never disappoint and the landscapes and towns people are very nice and fun to be around. The towns are very 1800's in great architecture and mostly absent of strip malls and high rise buildings. I live in bordering Massachusetts and look to retire in Vermont soon. The most beautiful state in New England and definitely worthy of at least a visit from anyone who loves the aforementioned ✌🏽❤️ 🇺🇲

My husband and I went to New England years ago and fell in love with Vermont, particularly. I wish we were younger and could move there. You did a great job with this video. Thank you!
Very nice video! Back in our younger years, my wife and I used to ski in Vermont, most of the time at Pico or Okemo. What a great state year round. The short mountain hikes we took, before and just after we had our kids, were breathtaking although a bit buggy in summer. That was many moons ago, but now in retirement, we long to revisit that great state. 👍👍👍
Really a beautiful video. The quaint old towns, the nature, the laidback lifestyle. Hard to believe it's also America. When I grew up as a indian high school kid, it was my hobby to know the fifty states of america and their capitals. I had a map to guide me. All the western, southern and midwestern states were big, so their names and capitals were visible on the map. But not for some of the north eastern states belonging to new england. I bugged my geography teacher to fill me in those names and their capitals. He consulted a graduate level book to come up with the names of NH, CT, RI, ME and their respective capitals. He could get to the name Vermont, but could not tell me the capital city then. These were back in the eighties and early nineties when getting a missing piece of information was not easy. I entered America to work for a few years in 1996. The first thing I asked to a colleague, who seemed a bit better in geography than the average American level. Montpellier was the answer. That sums up the state. America is an everlasting marketing gimmick. But Vermont stands out or wants to hide as a shy candidate. Shyness, an attribute missing not only in America but the whole world today. I could not visit the state during five years of my stay then. In fact I did not go more north than new jersey. This is a shame for me who visited 35 states in those five years, many of them multiple times. But could not make it to Vermont. My sister however had a trip with her husband and kid many years later. I got a live commentary from her. Liked it then also.
I first saw your videos when we were planning our trip to St Augustine Florida... and now that my husband and I want to visit Vermont here you are again, giving us all the great deets and info. Thanks so much for your awesome channel. :) Best wishes.,

I spent 2 months here, it was a very good time. People are nice. The city was beautiful. The scenery was unique. It was like I was in a dreamland. I can't wait to visit again. Lots of love from Turkey to the beautiful people of Vermont.
I live in Vermont and sometimes take the privilege of living here for granted.
I was reading about Vermont in a fictional book today. It was described as colorful foliage. So, very true. Thanks!
🌿
I was born in Bennington.. Pownal vt is 5 minutes away from me 20 minutes to Bennington.. I'm in Massachusetts now. I've lived part my life in Vermont its very beautiful the foliage WOW. People line up the roads taking pictures. Country living !!
Vermont is truly a beautiful paradise. After Hawaii it's hard not to put Vermont second...maybe third. So pretty. If I'm ever rich I'd spend half the year in Hawaii or Florida and the other half in the mountains of Vermont. Thank you for sharing this!
Born and raised and very proud and happy to be able to claim Vermont as my home. Thank you for the video, much appreciated.
Thankyou for the nice words Joe.
🌲VERMONT IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL STATE I HAVE BEEN THERE BACK AND FORTH I THINK I'M GOING TO LIVE THERE THANKS 👍👍🌲.
Don’t come VT is the worse run state in the union
@@sebastiancoppola4333 You come across as a very unhappy negative person. Sad.
You showed many of the major cities in Vermont but the true beauty of the state are the back roads. I am thankful to call vermont home!
Vermont has been my life for almost 50 years. Came up from Conn. In 1979 to raise our son and has been a blessing for all this time. We live in New Hampshire now, but Vermont will always be in my heart 💜. Don't forget Bernie 🤣
yep, the Bernie meme, has been alot of fun.
Beautiful vidéos
I love Vermont , gorgeous scenery and friendly citizens.
LOOKS BEAUTIFUL I HAVE NEVER BEEN TO VERMONT THANKS FOR THE BEAUTIFUL VIDEO
I love Vermont!
A most excellent video traveling to wonderful magic area’s of special interests
Thankyou Cat Man
I live in south florida most of my life. We have only one season all year. Its either warm or hot 12 months. For me its good boating. Just flew to burlington this january and rented a car and drove the entire state for 4 days. Wow, it was freezing cold, but almost like another country. Its nice to not see a walmart and taco bell every mile. Plus nice mountains . 😎
Vermont reminds me of a part of France and Portugal I once lived in. People are very laidback and friendly there.
This looks straight out of a story book. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the most beautiful video I have seen on RUclips since ages. Vermont is breathtaking! Many thanks for the upload
Thankyou Vish for the nice words
May God grant the desire of my heart to visit Vermont.♥
Amazing footage and scenery. Thanks
Thankyou for the feedback.
Vermont the most beautiful state, I still think a lot about going to live there, 💙❤ Goiás and Vermont💙❤, two beautiful and unique states !!

Dorset, Manchester, Sunderland Arlington , the Battinkill River...all memories I’ll treasure for life. A favorite vacation destination when I lived in Niagara region Canada. It’s been 16 years but I hope to go back again in 2021 (I Hope)
I need to visit. I love Hallmark films ❤
Grew up going to Bennington Vermont where my dad owned land on Mount Anthony right at the bottom of the mountain there was a farm that had an ice cream shop we hunted on our property and then we went somewhere I don't remember to go skiing thanks for the good memories and another good video, the monument and museum is a must route 7 I used to know I like the back of my hands
Thankyou, yea, I wished I would have stopped at more of those local ice cream shops, some of the best ice cream.
I'm from bennington. Great little town for the most part.
True, that would have been a good title.
I love your videos! Congratulations! Thank you so much for sharing!♥️♥️🇺🇸🇺🇸
Went through vermont in October 2016 during a tour of the New England States, I loved it, especially vermont, as good as these videos are, the real thing is spectacular.
Wow you really did a excellent work showing us the beautiful Vermont!
Thank you very much!
Such an amazing video! I love Vermont ❤ My boyfriend and I vacation in Southern Vermont and stay at a beautiful bed n breakfast in Dover once a year. We hope to retire there perhaps.
gorgeous American state, it conveys a nice look atmosphere and feel of classic smalltown USA. unique landscapes as well, especially during fall season, mesmerizing ,
beautiful place
I am proud to be a vermonter
I like vermont. I hate that all the flatlanders are moving here because of covid
Me too!
@@toyota420xp 😂😂lol
@@toyota420xp you’d be surprised, as My husband and I are from Florida, and COVID happened in the middle of our move. Not everyone is moving here for that reason. We moved here because we appreciate the beauty of nature and we’ve always been drawn to mountain living. We hated Florida.
@@toyota420xp Agreed!! Since so many people flocked to VT the cases have skyrocketed! We should shut our borders down and not let them in!
Such an Amazing Video. I been to every one of these spots in my home state of Vermont.
Thankyou Joe
So lucky I found your channel last night. Watched 4 of your videos already. Absolutely love your content. For a person living alone, with a flu on Christmas day, nothing better than sitting down with a warm bowl of soup and watching these beautiful travel videos. Merry Xmas !!
I am honored by that, thankyou for letting me know.. I hope you feel better soon, drink lots of water and probiotics
Love this…been a long time since I’ve been Home, and when you were in Rutland, you caught view of my old house right next to the churches… I was also a chef at Lincoln covered bridge inn, and used to fish under the bridge before I had to work
Pretty cool
Hiked The Appalachian Trail through Vermont, so beautiful
Yep, VT might be the most beautiful part of the Appalachian Trail
I watched a TV show. The location is in Vermont and I thought the place looks very calm and beautiful.
I really appreciated this video ! My youngest brother and his family lives in Vermont so seeing this video makes me feel a lot more comfortable and appreciative of their home ,culture and livelihoods.
# Morway and Mignott 💕🇺🇸🇯🇲
Thats great to hear, thankyou, blessings to you and your youngest brother.

What a simply phenomenal video. Your art on this video takes my breath away👍
Thankyou Brooke for the nice words.
One of our favorite states and we have traveled there twice from the Midwest... By far the best video I’ve ever seen on Vermont and I’ve seen a lot of them! Thank you so much for sharing,
Thankyou for the nice words.
Awesome videos sir, can't wait for the borders to reopen and once again do road trips to VT, NH and ME. Cheers from Montreal !
Thankyou for the nice words will be great to see our good friends from Canada back again
Very true
What a fantastic Vermont review, thank you very much, very much appreciated! Living in Germany and it all looks quite very familiar in so many ways. Really taking into consideration having a longer stay in VT!
thankyou Peter, great to hear from Germany
Because of this video I am taking my wife to all the places you named in Vermont for her Bday in October. Thank You and God Bless You

Thank you sharing this amazing tour through Vermont, I dream of going there maybe one day. 😊
What an incredible video! The drone views and all of the informative narration really made me feel like I was there! My husband and I went to New England years ago and fell in love with Vermont, particularly. I wish we were younger and could move there. You did a great job with this video. Thank you!
Thankyou Nancy for the nice words
Enjoyed the video of Vermont. I never been there, but I hope someday I can. Beautiful state, I love the countryside living way of life!
It’s awesome during the fall
Wow ,the nature is so green ,looks very peaceful,i wish i could retire in a place like this.vermont is so beautiful.
Great story, thanks for the nice words.
I first saw your videos when we were planning our trip to St Augustine Florida... and now that my husband and I want to visit Vermont here you are again, giving us all the great deets and info. Thanks so much for your awesome channel. :) Best wishes.,
Thankyou Iwona for letting me know, great to hear, enjoy Vermont
I taught at Middlebury College for 15 years and spent much of my free time driving around the state. I even thought of joining the 251 Club, of people who have visited all towns there. I not only love what you show in this video, I agree with many of the people who have commented on it. Lots of memories!
My favorite youtuber, Taylor's grand adventures is from Vermont so I had to check this video out. I love it. What a great state , with lots to do. Great job
Thankyou for the nice words Lala
Born and raised in Burlington! You picked the best time of year to go! The perfect tree foliage, and all cider! You missed out on Al's French Frys tho. Also I love how we don't have bill boards or sky scrapers!
Loved this one. wow, what a Heaven. Thank you! 🥰
You are welcome Rephael, thanks for taking the time to comment
My heart aches. I’ve been going to VT my whole life but not this year because of COVID. thanks for sharing what I have missed. Beautiful photography and well written. If you’re ever in Manchester again go to “Up for Breakfast “ for breakfast. Thanks again!!
Thankyou for the nice words.
I think my town must be hexed, it gets bypassed in every Vermont Guide I've ever seen. Maybe that's a blessing in disguise. I think it's beautiful myself.
