Bro your crushing it!! Keep living your best life. Truly inspiring. Also appreciate you setting up the shots of the trail and great editing work / story telling. Happy for you big dog!
I think so many of us have done this trail as a day hike since overnights are the ultimate challenge for NF, and then we want to overnight even more so after day hiking it. I hadn't thought about it, but your description of the first couple of miles is so accurate. It's a mini beast, but once you get to the sign, it's a steady flow the rest of the way, and doesn't feel as difficult. Props on getting the good real estate at lake 2. Also agree on the backpacking vibe. So many cool people to meet on trail. ✌️
Such a beautiful trail it never gets old 🙌 have you checked out the south fork trail yet? And yes it’s super hard to obtain a permit especially for the summer time. Thank you so much for watching 🙏🙌
Me and my husband hiked the north fork trails many times . I love glacier lodge. Just there in June fishing. Very strenuous hike but beautiful and worth it
Can’t remember the exact weight but under 40 lbs I did overpack though lol I was taking extra gear to test 😅 glad the vlog was useful 🙌 thanks for watching 🙏
Sounds by your slight accent must be Latino si..good to see a fellow Latino enjoying Mother Earth well educated in the outdoors well done hijo good to meet you
Great video! It seems really challenging to get your hands on the wilderness permits to stay overnight at North Fork. I’d like to stay overnight, too. I’ve day hiked it, it was pretty challenging for me. Stay healthy! :)
Thank you 🙏 and yeah landing permits for the north Fork trail is always tough, try to aim for a weekday and month of October. After summer things get less busy 🙏 thanks again for watching 🙌
I was there last weekend 05/28/22 I drank water directly from that part of the river without filtering and I still alive 😁 I made 2 1/2 hours from the glacier lodge to the 1st lake (no backpack) nice trip, next time I want to do it like you, spend a night up there! 👍🏼
Nice! I took another trip early April there was still snow but always a great hike 🙌 I have to vlog the glacier one of these days 🙏 yes highly recommend you spend the night out there it’s the perfect place 🙌 thanks for watching 🙌
Thank you 🙏 I also have one, but I always end up taking my platypus 😅 Somehow I always end up running into someone who needs some filtered water 😁 thank you for watching 🙌
Hi there! May I know when you did this trip? I’m thinking of doing it in early September and hoping it’s a good time of year to go :). Also won’t mind cooler weather in October too :).
Damn bro that trail is no joke, it kicked my ass when we did it. 😂 Can’t believe you went by yourself too! We didn’t have a permit when we went, but one of these days I’d really like to grab one and stay the night. Going all the way up there and having to head back before dark is rough. Good stuff man 🤙🏽
Wow beautiful views! I need to do this next year. Have you ever camped in the months of November or December? I want to try it but haven’t seen many videos during that time.
Dude awesome video! My buddies and I planning on doing this trail the first weekend of November. Would you possibly know what the weather might be like, also are the rivers still flowing then or are they seasonal? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
You guys will love it 🙌 during late fall going into November expect the weather to drop significantly. I’ve done that trail around that time as well and caught scatter showers, but the weather is always unpredictable. I would definitely keep an eye on the forecast. Take a down jacket, zero degree sleeping bags etc. The rivers will be flowing, and the views amazing 🙌. I have some more details on a blog I posted on my webpage: questrunnerchannel.com 😁 thanks for watching 🙏
Have u upgraded any camera gear ? Pros and cons of the go pro and your canon ? Nice video like how u give a lot of details and explain thanks for that and can’t wait for more videos cheers bro !!!!!
Hey there, stumbled upon your channel because of this video. Loved it and subscribed. I’ll be going there next week for three days (and two nights) and was wondering what can I expect prior to arriving? This will actually be my first backpacking trip and I’m pretty excited for it.
The color of that water is unbelievable. How did you end up liking your North Face pack? Looks like you have a pretty sweet set up. I’m always trying to make mine even better. Take care man and happy trails!
It was a little over 6 miles one way. Thank you for watching 🙏 here is a link to my webpage with more info at www.questrunnerchannel.com www.questrunnerchannel.com/post/big-pine-lakes-backpacking
I’ve never encountered a bear up at these lakes but yes you’re always exposed to bears in the mountains. That is why bear vaults are required for safety purposes 🙏 thank you for watching 🙏
Nice video. Try abuilita's chocolate and coffee. Thanks for sharing the video and Happy camping

what is the earliest time of the year you think where its warm enough to camp overnight and not completely covered in snow?
I would say around June since we’ve been having late winters , but always check the weather forecast for changes.

May I suggest instead of the bladder bag, get yourself a Lifestraw, if there’s running streams of course, less weight on your back.
