Late comment I know. But this is an amazing video! That pull station is also in a good location too because let's say something in your dryer catches on fire. You can initiate the fire alarm immediately upon seeing it.
Another excellent video. That second pull station is a good addition to your home system. Makes sense to have one near both main exits to your home. Good job!
I love being able to learn about rough in from you dude, This will come in clutch for my own systems too, or if I need to do it myself in the field lol. Love the video as always man!
We found it's much better to have the commercial system than the residential crap that sets off every day you could do it without the pull stations though absolutely
Nice video. I do agree that the 115 cm max height is low, that equates to about 45”, about 3” or 76 mm lower than the height down here in the states. Feels off being that low, even if it is only a few inches.
I really like your home system! I am also doing a home alarm system in my house. I have 2 questions for you. 1. I am installing conventional attic heat detectors. Will putting the end of line resistor in the Attic heat detector junction box be a problem? Will the extreme heat of the attic heat up the resistor and change the resistance of the resistor causing zone troubles? 2. I'm using Honeywell Genesis FPL wire for the system. I'm pretty sure this is obvious, but will FPL wire survive longer in a direct Flame then regular wire? I'm asking because I've read that FPL resists the spread of Fire. I haven't read that it survives longer in direct heat or flames. Thank you for your help! You are doing a great job on your system. It's very impressive!
The systems are meant to operate on a range of resistance within a certain parameter of the spec for that reason so that's fine. the insulation is just rated to be installed in a higher ambient temperature in an actual fire it's going to be extremely minimum as for any extra resistance it's going to provide against heat if you actually need wire to resist extreme temperature you use mineral insulated also known as pyrotenax cable
One of the best videos out there on this stuff. Question, so is the only way to create a new point through auto program on this panel? I never saw a “add point” option and don’t have the software any more. Working on a 180 point Notifier 640-2 with 2 SLC loops and wanted to make sure I didn’t lose any previously programmed points doing this. Its been a few years. Thanks!
I love your videos. They're educational and fun. One of my favorite pull stations is the Edwards SPO 270. By the way your dog is beautiful. Is she a purebred German Shepherd? Can you do a video of her if at all possible?
If you connect a device to the SLC with an unused address, or delete one that is still connected with a unique address, will the panel, eventually show, “unspecified device“ or “extra point?”
When is the next durability testing video gonna happen, because when I watch the first part of this video, I wanted to know the durability testing video going to happen ?
I have a fire alarm system in my house just like yours in the moment, I heard the news that you might not do any more durability testing videos my fire alarm system started screaming😂😂😂😂
Hi Nic. Great video. I love watching them. Im looking for that video where you swapped a bell with one of your bells. Do you know the title of that one?
My Middle School Needs A New Fire Alarm System. The Current System Is Conventional And Very Old. We Need Something Like An MS9600UDLS Or An NFS-3030 And New Alarms Such As The Gentex Commander 3 Or A Wheelock Exceeder.
When I wanted to install my photo and I didn't want the residential smoke alarms. I have a photo electric so this was safe. I took my hammer and smashed the smoke alarm.
I agree it would look better but he couldn't as he's following code as much as possible and there is a small height range the handle of the pull station can be in and that's below the switch height.
Yes I think we can all agree that things look better if they're all lined up but that's not always legal which if I didn't somebody would be upset with me for that so either way I will end up with somebody upset

You finally got another pull station! Great Nic.
my mother would have the biggest bird if I put anything like this in her house :(
We found it's much better to have the commercial system than the residential crap that sets off every day you could do it without the pull stations though absolutely
I had one installed at my apartment complex when I had my ms-9600udls, had to utilize the basement access in the hall to get all the wiring done lol
Nice video. I do agree that the 115 cm max height is low, that equates to about 45”, about 3” or 76 mm lower than the height down here in the states. Feels off being that low, even if it is only a few inches.
Nice vid and smart on where you you installed the pull station, i look forword to more content. Also where do you get your pull stations?
Thanks! I get most the of my fire alarm equipment on eBay but this particular one came from a building.
05:29 Your Drywall cut-out tool sounds very musical 🎼 🎶
The intro was so funny😂, good job as always man!
Dude the intro is awesome 😊

Great video! Good addition. Interesting name for the light switch next to it.
Thanks!
What... what was that intro? Great job! 😂
You should add a door holder to the door at the bottom of the basement steps.
Maybe just means more money though
I like how the start is edited differently
2:26 this backdoor looks like a nice spot to put another pull station.
Eh maybe but very visible so probably too ugly
Next, you should add a pull station near the sliding door
Don't think that will happen
Whats the context to "HUE G RECTION", because thats fuckin hilarious lmfao
5:28 I thought you were about to play us a song on the hackzall lol
You should do a durability test on system sensor, p2rl

Yes the Onyx series only has auto program as an option to add a point for front panel programming there's no way to manually add a point.
The intro is very weird and cool nic

No it will not indicate if there are devices that are not programmed in
Can you film. A another security system testing
Noticed that pull station in your last testing video but I didn’t mention it I didn’t wanna spill the beans for whoever didn’t notice it lol

Next power outage at your school can you pull the fire alarm?
That's illegal and even if not I have lots of videos of the fire alarm system at my school
oh. okay@@nics-systems-electric
i gotta know.. how did you talk your family into adding a firealarm system!?
I didn't, Old smoke alarm were not good needed something new so I installed this.
When is the next durability testing video gonna happen, because when I watch the first part of this video, I wanted to know the durability testing video going to happen ?
Hard to say there might never be anymore
Bro, rest in peace of durability testing videos😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 hopefully I get to see another one

Could you explain with props the loop system and t tap etc in a video?
There is no T taps on this system it is wired as a class B Loop
i love your vids and where do you buy all of your notifier products?
Thanks. eBay
Thank you

Yes they do
Where do you get the items for the system?
eBay mostly
@@nics-systems-electric same
Thanks I’m glad to see your dedication to the community and your channel
The position next to the garage
What would happen if you programmed a pull as a smoke
You can't do it with an auto program it finds the device type
Anyone notice what is on the light switch it says hue g reaction
Wow!
Hello NIC’S - SYSTEMS & ELECTRIC
Yeeeaaahh i’ve been waiting for this one for a while
Thank for your video.
So, how much has the House Fire Alarm System cost to get all parts and wiring (CA$)?
Wire and boxes were free as well as the 320c panel itself so $3422 is the current cost
Awesome video man!
Thank you
Can make the house fire alarm system give you notifications on your phone?
It does the video on it will be out one day it's the same thing as I use in the garage system

Your old conventional system will probably outlast anything new if it's still works I don't see anything wrong with it
great vid i subbed!
Thank you
good job nic looks good
Could you do a video on how speaker shutdown works please
Fire alarm relay connected to other the entire power supply or auxiliary shut down terminals it's as simple as that
Ok cool

Why does it say "HUE G RECTION" on the light switch plate?
