  • This is for the people that think AWD (All Wheel Drive) is a must in the winter... you're better off just buying a GOOD set of WINTER tires :)
This is what a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8 Studded can do in the worse conditions this year. This is the reason why the tires cost a lot.
And for those that don't know, this car is a FRONT wheel drive glorified Prius... so if this can get through it, any car can.

It can go straight okay. But how does it handle a curve? You are better with a Subaru AWD in winter conditions.

It did just fine in the curves, I had to get on the highway somehow, right? :P
I never said it was better than an AWD, but I did say, AWD isn't a must for winter ;)

AWD is beneficial only when it comes to moving from a stop and maybe acceleration. Braking, and general handling has more to do with the cars traction to the road, this is where your tires are more important than weather your car is AWD or not.
Just look up youtube videos of all season tires vs snow tires.

@@AzadiTerp19 All wheel drive is better in the snow. I drove FWD and AWD. The difference is night and day not just for acceleration. You can go right thru thick snow not with FWD.

Lmfao if you need awd to drive in snow you need a bus pass you shouldn’t be on the road
