There is even better option than disabling traction control - WINTER TIRES. ;)

@feduchin There is a way of deactivating the traction control. You must enter the vehicle into maintenance mode.
Perform the following steps from (1) through (4) in 60 seconds.
    (1) Turn the power switch on (IG).
    (2) Fully depress the accelerator pedal three with park (P) selected.
    (3) Fully depress the accelerator pedal three with neutral (N) selected.
    (4) Fully depress the accelerator pedal three with park (P) selected.

@feduchin (5) Check that "MAINTENANCE MODE" is displayed on the multi-information display.
    (6) Start the engine by turning the power switch on (READY) while depressing the brake pedal. (Done) Turn off car to disable.

If you want to drive cars on snow - you have to have the correct tyres - even if you have a top of the range 4 X 4 thingymobile this does not give good traction on snow and ice unless you have Proper Winter tyres - Winter tyres have 2 main differences to summer tyres (summer tyres are provided on practically all UK cars - new and Used - mainly because they are cheaper (less silicone-which gives grip) if you want to get a grip - get winter tyres - First difference is: The tread pattern - winter tyres have lots of tiny slits called "Sypes" these sypes are designed to lock into the snow - the same way that snow "sticks" together when you roll a snow ball along the ground - it gets bigger because snow sticks to snow. The second Difference Winter tyres have (compared to summer tyres) they have more Silicone impregnated into the structure - this ensures the rubber compound stays soft - a hard rubber tyre will skid - a soft rubber will be able to hold the surface. Sport Mode reduces traction control. If that doesn't help, Maintenance Mode turns it off completely.
