I really appreciate you making these videos I’m a nursing major and I was figuring out what I wanted to do besides being just a rn. I wanted to become a CRNA because I had a heart ablation procedure and my CRNA I had was great and nice and calming and I was like wow I wanna do this I want to be there for somebody like she was for me. Plus I love knowing things about pain management I’m always the friend that gives the advice of what to take if there in pain. Sorry this was long but this is nice

I was watching on another channel that if you don’t have your CRNA by 2025 you will be required to get a doctorate degree in the same for nurse practitioners. Then why not become a anesthesiologist if that’s the case?
I meant to watch this video couple days ago but I had an exam last night I was telling my nurse instructor that I will be icu and crna she was like the hospital don’t normally hire new graduates you got to top of your class plus recommendations for us the staff members and she was say how hard it was to be crna she is midwife, what kind of certificate can you get after you have your PhD as crna?
Exams always come first. Keep focused on your goals and aspirations. There is an option for current CRNA'S to obtained an advanced pain management fellowship program.
I went into an acute care icu as a new grad. The statement that icus only want experienced nurses is very outdated. Most hospitals are now very open to hiring new grads into icus, as the new grads can be molded into a quality icu nurse and not pick up some habits on the floor that don’t transfer well to icu. If you want to go to icu and then crna school then go for it and do what you know will be happy doing instead of “paying your dues on the floor” first.

You earned a sub! I just started my second year of crna school and all of the reasons you mentioned are spot on.
Thanks for subscribering. Where are you attending CRNA school?
