Give this woman a medal she is a national treasure protect her at all costs
Haha u be a fool to think that everything they say is genuine. It's scripted to protrait themselves good, and not make the hospital look bad.. Wake up
Beyond what she does in the video, Faith is also helping to nurture the next generation of APNs and she does an amazing job of being an educator too.
I'm an APN in the United States, and it warms my heart to see this spotlight on our profession, especially in another country. Let me help summarize and expand it a little further. So, an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a highly trained and specialized nurse who provides comprehensive care in various healthcare settings. APNs can include nurse practitioners (NPs), clinical nurse specialists (CNSs), nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and nurse midwives (CNMs). APNs perform advanced assessments, diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. APNs often work independently or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. They also play a significant role in patient education, health promotion, and disease prevention. Additionally, APNs may contribute to research, policy development, and healthcare leadership....all well demonstrated by Faith, she is a role model!
Don't forget to add that Nurse Practitioners are masters educated nurses as well!❤
Kudos to you and all the nurses everywhere!
Myself, speaking as a registered nurse. I can assure you, she is working extremely hard. Sacrificing. It takes a lot of work to even become a licensed nurse. She has a good heart❤
Not just the medical knowledge but her skills in comms with patients and staff, and her coordination is amazing.
Thank you for your service! Nurses are every bit as important as doctors... let's give them the appreciation and recognition they deserve!
Her rank is above that of a Registered Nurse, which is itself very high ranking. In the US, due to having areas where doctors are not readily available due to it being a rural area or otherwise, they are permitted to serve as doctors for certain States. 24 out of the 50 States. But of course, they are still a rank below a full doctor, even though they can prescibe medications and see patients and open their own clinics
@@John_Smith_86bro graduated from yapping university
@@John_Smith_86 ¿ they are still a rank below a full doctor,? . Thanks for show that you dont know anything about health sciences. First stop trying to compare medicine with nursing. Two totally dif. disciplines
@@user-yw3dm3lm4k So... you don't have any valid rebuttal then? Thanks for showing your ignorance
Except nurses already do get recognition. There are more healthcare workers than just nurses and doctors that don't get any recognition at all. Pharmacist, radiologists, physical therapist, respiratory therapist, medical lab techs, environmental services workers, CNAs, etc. Healthcare is not one sided.
She is so wonderful and caring.
Such a REAL LIVING ANGEL.
Thank you, Faith.
How u know she really is? And not doing it cuz she has too. And not scripted... Better to get real answers in how they really feel.. And the bad as well... U be a fool and naive to believe
Nursing is such an honorable profession, and it's really admirable that Faith decided to follow this path after her childhood experience. I'm glad that her parents understand her goals and support her now.
What an amazing young lady. Would love to have her as my nurse if I have to go to a hospital. Seems very personable and easy to talk to. She is extremely passionate about her career as well as helping her patients.
Must have more well trained nursing staff like her. She is friendly, caring, compassionate, etc. She can do better than some of the junior doctors. I had a recent, not so good encounter with a young male junior doctor, snob attitude. I found that the ward nurses were hard-working, attentive, experienced, and friendly.
I love that Faith is so down to earth! 😊Makes me happy to hear she likes her job. Thanks for educating us about the daily lives of APNs!
I personally find all nurses are amazing, irrespective of their post.
Such a remarkable woman!! What a good homage to this tireless, compassionate but knowledgeable individual who bridges healthcare, knowledge, and skillful communication to her patients and colleagues. Dedication and sincerity in her work.❤❤❤
I really loved her interactions with her hubby. A lovely couple! And Faith is kicking a$$ at her job. You rock!
I guess a supportive spouse really makes a big difference. All the best to this couple.
All the healthcare workers deserve our respect .
As an İCU nurse, i am proud of her! Such dedication to improve the practice and provide better care 💕
I have the deepest respect for nurses - be it a junior nurse or APN. My dad was hospitalized a few years ago and though he insisted that I buy a cake for the nurses for their care and concern. Thank you nurses for your service to the nation.
Tan Tock Seng's Florence Nightingale.
I am so so glad that Faith did not listen to her parents to pursue a more "secure and comfortable job", because then she would only end up as a "kuai kiah", a zombie employee going through the motions just for the monthly pay check and annual bonuses. Now she is doing something that she is absolutely passionate about and is now REALLY contributing to society and bringing joy and comfort to her patients and blazing the way for future health care professionals...a true HERO. 😊
while we salute the work of APN, we must not forget the importance of rank and file staff, the true nursing backbone - enrolled and registered nurse
Thanks to the entire team, Doctors, Nurses, Admin, Logistics, Cleaning, etc to make it all happen! Me as patient/patients' family truthly appreaciate your efforts!
This lady is so inspiring. She leads by examole to her fellow colleagues . I can sense her passion to the job and dedication to every patient. Full respect for her.
Nurses are amazing. Can really tell how her family's support helped Faith flourish in her role
This is a great clip. Very interesting and moving. She’s so inspirational. A few ‘cute’ takeaways: there are good days and there are bad days but we make time to eat; we brag about her being top student as all proud parents do. 😂 thank you, healthcare workers especially those with such great dedication and warm hearts to serve like Faith who is featured here. ❤
APNs are highly respectable. They also, are as knowledgeable as the physicians themselves after upgrading their skillsets.
Hi Faith, i am in allied health from the pathology lab discipline and i am just feeling jaded 10 years into the job now.
Thanks for making me not forgetting my original intention of the path i've chosen a decade ago through this clip of yours. I am reinspired again. Thank you for all that burning passion in your 14 years, keep going 💪🏻
Thank you for serving in the healthcare care industry. Your journey in allied health is nothing short of inspiring too. ❤It’s natural to feel worn at times, especially after a decade of dedication.
Remember, the path you’ve chosen is impactful and your expertise in the pathology lab contributes significantly to healthcare.Everyone in the healthcare industry is an important asset to a patient's journey to recovery! 👍
Every test you run, every analysis you perform, is a thread in the larger tapestry of patient care which is so impt for the care plan of our patient's best treatment.
It's okay to feel down at times but seek new sparks for your passion-perhaps a workshop, a conference, or a new project could offer a fresh perspective.
Your experience is valuable, and your renewed passion will fuel you to be inspired as well once again.
So keep the flame alive- we as healthcare workers will support onanother & you have a whole community rooting for you!💪💪💪

So, basically, to sum up, I disagree that they are just as knowledgeable despite APNs being only a single rank below doctors in the US. 1 tiny step is still a step
@@angelinetay76 thank you angeline, im feeling much better now =D
From the bottom of my heart, nursing is a profession that call for so much more than a doctor, very often go unappreciated and sometimes abused . In fact I feel nurses are more if not equally important. All nurses, you have my respect. Thank you faith, Geraldine and many others who give up your time to care for us so passionately. Salute!
Her mum's unwavering support and concern ❤
Faith is an angel, she is also surrounded by lovely people in her life, from parents, husband and colleagues, she kinda she created that environment ❤
she's awesome, maybe she can consider doing duke nus medicine course and become a physician. also loves the way she speaks, clear natural neutral english without fake accent
Thank you Faith for you dedication to your job and patients as well as being a mentor to your other nurse colleagues.
Im a Student nurse currently studying here in PH. You really moves me and motivate me Mrs Faith to do better at my studies. Hoping that one day i could be a more competent and compassionate nurse so that i could bring comfort and an impact to the lives of my future patients.
Viewing this video reminds me of my dad’s journey with SKH last year. Salute all nurses for their patience and endless TLC for all patients including my dad. You all are really angels and it does take a lot to be caring throughout being a nurse which us, as a normal people can’t. Thank you for being a nurse. ❤
Thank you Faith Hwang. Its people like you that makes a difference in this world.
Thanks for making time for this documentary, Faith. ❤
What an angel! Her patients are blessed to have her.
Excellent sharing on the role of an APN! Thank you Faith and many in the nursing teams looking after our patients!
Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you to your family for the sacrifice too.
Thank you to all the ICU nurses and doctors, they are very important people, I'm thankful for them.
Similiar role of UK nursing... APN .. we called Lead Nurse or Clinical Nurse Specialist in here. I was one and retired few years ago after 45 years in the service of which 20 years specialised as APN. Well done Faith, keep it up. Everyday you will learned bew things. It's a very rewarding career.
What an inspirational nurse you are, Faith. You are a phenomenal woman.
I am truly impressed with your dedication and commitment to the nursing profession! Your patients and colleagues are very fortunate to have you. Thank you very much for elevating the stature of nurses. Kudos!
Pure dedication to her craft ❤ great job faith and thank you for your service!
What a fantastic lady faith is the world needs more like her , such a compassionate and caring person if we should find ourselves in need of medical help please let faith be there
Thank you Ms Faith, for your love and care to the patients.
i love how she is so cheerful in her work 😃thank you for your service in singapore❤❤❤
What a great video! Beautifully produced, kudos to the people behind this 👏🏼
I have always found it so refreshing and inspiring when I see people who truly love their job. Thank you for your service, Faye!!
Blessed to have supportive family in this line of work. Not easy doing it alone without anyone behind u
I love the way she talks to her patienf who is on a tube and ventilated. The interaction was so touching. She asked questions to the patient who has no voice to talk back, but she made it clear that her patient understood her question. Amazingly the patient responded in a non-verbal way that she was able to understand, abd she further explained to her patient, ans I can see patient who was voiceless was reassured of her explanation and care provided. The eye contact and touch were superb tho.
I am a nurse ibmn a day surgery suite. Most of our patients are well and in good shape. We do simple surgeries and make sure patients will be able to go home before the day ends. Most of our interactions with patients last for 4-6 hlurs including their surgery time. But, definitely, the care and assurance given to our patients are pretty much the same. Vut I could say, her medical knowledge and her passion towards her profession are somethings that give younger nurses a whole lot of inspiration.
ICU nurses are amazing! I’ve been in the ICU several times, and they have all been absolutely wonderful.
As a doctor. I can confirm. listen to your nurses.🎉
What a trailbrazer!!
Proud of you, Faith...
May God Bless the nurses in their journey of Love. Faith carry on your good work.
I really enjoyed this mini documentary. More of this please, CNA 🥰 This woman is so amazing ❤
Thank you to all nurses and medical personnel out there. It’s a noble career. Requiring lots of hard work, passion, love.
It’s not an easy job. But do know that we do appreciate you all!
Nurses do such honorable work in the hospital. I could never imagine myself doing anything like that, I would definitely quit on the first day 😂. Thank you for doing what you do and caring for patients, one at a time.
She is really the true definition of nursing. She’s so kind and thoughtful. God bless you
Thank you Faith..and everyone in medical field..
thanks for showing us the value of our work us nurses...we are unsung heroes at times but our main goal is to care and make patients better...all the best, take care
Actually personally I respect the nurses more than the doctors. The doctors, they don’t listen n observe . They think they know it all especially those who just certified. A nurse saved my son’s life . She told a v humble doctor who listened to her advice as she had been observing my son . Thank u so much
Wow such incredible experience. GBU and ur family.
If she is willing, please admit her into Duke-NUS Medical School to be a doctor on scholarship and let her skip relevant modules. She is more conscientious and more deserving than many of the medical GPs and specialists I have seen.
Huge respect to you and hope your video inspires people who wants to explore doing nursing as a career
She speaks so well! Enjoyed listening to her share about her journey, and very inspiring too
Thank you for your care and love for the patient's well being. Salute
Love it ! I hope my nurses and all nurses around the world also got a chance to grow like her. Nurses are most amazing, kind and compassionate people ❤❤❤
I have nothing but admiration for Faith’s courage and determination to better herself in nursing so she can better take great care of her patients while sharing knowledge and expertise to her peers. Her name is a true meaning of FAITH! ❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I have always great respect for Nurses in the Singapore Hospitals that I have got treatment from . Caring, dedicated and hard working individuals.
Faith seems like such a cheerful person professionally and personally! Love the Chow chows so cute! Thank you to Faith and all the amazing nurses that contribute to our well being ❤❤❤❤
Just by hearing her voice would really bring calm to patients. Admire her hardwork and dedication! Inspires me to go further
Thanks for the dedication!!!! This story definitely is inspiring.
I respect nurse more than any doctors. The paitent and endurance of nurse really make me admire them.
Thank you for all that you do, Faith!
You're doing God's work! Always keep the faith!
wow. That's an amazing story. I'm so proud of her. Women can achieve so much in this world; we fail to give them so much credit.

We are proud of your nursing career
Thank you so much for all you do, Faith!
From another nurse practitioner in Canada.
She’s top of class and you can tell! What an awesome person! She’s very inspring.
What a great piece, both the APN and the. Idea deserve accolades ❤❤❤❤
I am a nurse for 27 years now. I work in the operating room for 15 years. I also taught nursing for 2 years before migrating in the US 18 years ago. It’s only now that I really thought of going back to school and finish up my masters degree. I did 1 year of masters when I was in the Philippines while I was teaching in surgery. There are just so many nurse practitioners practicing here in the US. 😊
So proud of you and I can see that you love your job😊
Respect and appreciate APN
Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
What a fabulous person she really cares about the person and doing a great job bravo ❤❤❤❤❤
Very inspiring her dedication is real for her heart
This is very inspirational. I recently started thinking about how I really want to become a nurse who has advanced knowledge and skills on top of being compassion to our patients. Thank you, I’ll come back to this video again when I feel lost or exhausted on my journey!
The only ones who are feeling a little insecure are FMs. Cheers for relieving doc workload.
Thanks for inspiring me, Faith! God Bless you.
I have had the privilege of meeting Nurse Faith, Dr Lew and all the nurses at Ward 6B when my dad was there for 3 months. They are selfless, caring and gave my family and I so much assurance and comfort in spite of the circumstances. Watching this video brought tears to my eyes. Nurse Faith deserves all the recognition and accolades for not only her knowledge but most definitely for her dedication, patience and heart for the patients. Nursing is a heart job. ❤ Take care, everyone at Ward 6B!
Thank god 🙏🏻 for super heroes like Ms Faith ❤
Faith truly lives up to her name.
Fueled by passion. Nice.❤
A Nurse Practitioner is basically finished a Master’s degree but being in the ICU really takes it up a notch and for being 36 yo too . My classmate pursued being Nurse Practitioner title too but I don’t remember which specialty. I almost pursued is as a CRNA but financial constrained stopped me . I’m still happy being a OR Nurse in charge of Sports Ortho. But she got guts , skills , and brains. I salute her.
This was so inspiring thanks for sharing this story!
An APN managed my organ donor transplant at UCSF. She was fantastic…and super smart, well prepared.
Woww. I'm an incoming second-year BSN student, and although I have just started and know that I have much more to learn in my educational journey, I am very motivated by her to do more and learn more. I wish to become like her one day. :)
Shes an amazing person! very knowledgeable and kind :)
Advanced Practice Nurse ( APN) is as good as your medical doctor.
It's not easy to become an APN!
Enough said
What a flex. She’s doing cardiac sonars 👌🏾. She’s amazing🙌🏾
