I'm an APN in the United States, and it warms my heart to see this spotlight on our profession, especially in another country. Let me help summarize and expand it a little further. So, an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) is a highly trained and specialized nurse who provides comprehensive care in various healthcare settings. APNs can include nurse practitioners (NPs), clinical nurse specialists (CNSs), nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), and nurse midwives (CNMs). APNs perform advanced assessments, diagnose and treat medical conditions, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans. APNs often work independently or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. They also play a significant role in patient education, health promotion, and disease prevention. Additionally, APNs may contribute to research, policy development, and healthcare leadership....all well demonstrated by Faith, she is a role model!
Her rank is above that of a Registered Nurse, which is itself very high ranking. In the US, due to having areas where doctors are not readily available due to it being a rural area or otherwise, they are permitted to serve as doctors for certain States. 24 out of the 50 States. But of course, they are still a rank below a full doctor, even though they can prescibe medications and see patients and open their own clinics

Nursing is such an honorable profession, and it's really admirable that Faith decided to follow this path after her childhood experience. I'm glad that her parents understand her goals and support her now.
What an amazing young lady. Would love to have her as my nurse if I have to go to a hospital. Seems very personable and easy to talk to. She is extremely passionate about her career as well as helping her patients.
Must have more well trained nursing staff like her. She is friendly, caring, compassionate, etc. She can do better than some of the junior doctors. I had a recent, not so good encounter with a young male junior doctor, snob attitude. I found that the ward nurses were hard-working, attentive, experienced, and friendly.

Such a remarkable woman!! What a good homage to this tireless, compassionate but knowledgeable individual who bridges healthcare, knowledge, and skillful communication to her patients and colleagues. Dedication and sincerity in her work.❤❤❤
I have the deepest respect for nurses - be it a junior nurse or APN. My dad was hospitalized a few years ago and though he insisted that I buy a cake for the nurses for their care and concern. Thank you nurses for your service to the nation.
It made me come into tears. Im an - almost- PhD nurse in Brasil. Being a nurse here is a challenge, and it made me realize how a nurse needs to prove to self and others - family and equip colleagues - how Nursing is a honorable, valuable and necessary profession. Here, salaries are low, devaluation comes from all the sides I mentioned, education is increasingly heading towards very bad places. Anyway, Faith's story and seeing what her role really means to her made me reflect a lot on professional issues that I have been facing lately. Mainly thinking about giving up my career. Thank you Faith and I hope you keep going! the world really needs nurses like you.
This lady is so inspiring. She leads by examole to her fellow colleagues . I can sense her passion to the job and dedication to every patient. Full respect for her.
Kudos Faith. You are the epitome of someone who is doing what she loves. It's interesting to see that the perception of nurses as a doctor's servant isn't unique to the US. Amazes me how many think it's ok to abuse a nurse. Thank you CNA Insider for highlighting this side of nursing.
Actually personally I respect the nurses more than the doctors. The doctors, they don’t listen n observe . They think they know it all especially those who just certified. From the bottom of my heart, nursing is a profession that call for so much more than a doctor, very often go unappreciated and sometimes abused . Asian Nurses are the best with combined technical competence and compassionate. This, especialy the Filipino, Indonesian and Singaporean Nurses. Generally, they only stood 4.5" to 5.3" in height but they tower when at work. Everybody listens whether you're an Intern, Resident, or Speciaists Doctors, otherwise you will be reprimand straight from her feisty mouth, while in just mere seconds turn into the sweetest person when facing their Patients. Thank you Nurses. ♥️
This is a great clip. Very interesting and moving. She’s so inspirational. A few ‘cute’ takeaways: there are good days and there are bad days but we make time to eat; we brag about her being top student as all proud parents do. 😂 thank you, healthcare workers especially those with such great dedication and warm hearts to serve like Faith who is featured here. ❤
I love the way Faith so beautifully described what healthcare/nursing is and even more importantly, that she embodies it as well. Keep up the amazing work, Faith!!

Faith seems like such a cheerful person professionally and personally! Love the Chow chows so cute! Thank you to Faith and all the amazing nurses that contribute to our well being ❤❤❤❤
I love the way she talks to her patienf who is on a tube and ventilated. The interaction was so touching. She asked questions to the patient who has no voice to talk back, but she made it clear that her patient understood her question. Amazingly the patient responded in a non-verbal way that she was able to understand, abd she further explained to her patient, ans I can see patient who was voiceless was reassured of her explanation and care provided. The eye contact and touch were superb tho. I am a nurse ibmn a day surgery suite. Most of our patients are well and in good shape. We do simple surgeries and make sure patients will be able to go home before the day ends. Most of our interactions with patients last for 4-6 hlurs including their surgery time. But, definitely, the care and assurance given to our patients are pretty much the same. Vut I could say, her medical knowledge and her passion towards her profession are somethings that give younger nurses a whole lot of inspiration.
Currently in my 2nd year and nursing and I am so keen in learning about different roles as a nurse and I can say that nurses play a wide variety of roles in both the professional and therapeutic level. Inshallah, I want to become a nurse practitioner to be there for many patients and care for people
Love it ! I hope my nurses and all nurses around the world also got a chance to grow like her. Nurses are most amazing, kind and compassionate people ❤❤❤

May God Bless the nurses in their journey of Love. Faith carry on your good work.
Inshallah, I want to become a nurse practitioner to be there for many patients and care for people
salute to all ICU nurses, they care the most challenging patients in the hospital
Love it ! I hope my nurses and all nurses around the world also got a chance to grow like her. Nurses are most amazing, kind and compassionate people ❤❤❤

This is very inspirational. I recently started thinking about how I really want to become a nurse who has advanced knowledge and skills on top of being compassion to our patients. Thank you, I’ll come back to this video again when I feel lost or exhausted on my journey!
