I love how artists are so visual when creating, like they see the parts happening the drums in the background the Rhythm flowing like it’s some kind of crazy lava lamp moving in time with the instruments. The human ability to create can sometimes be beautiful
The thing about his music is he always centers making it around how it sounds on the drums in his head. Like if you listen to pretty much any song that he's made it's based on a drum beat he thought of, which is so cool, because it just shows how much him being a drummer really effected the way he thinks of music creation.
I love the way Dave compares the drums with the guitar,and the way he approaches each instrument,making the guitar have a certain rhythm and making the drums worth some melodies =P
the high e riff at 2:49 is also one that has been used in painted black of the rolling stones so that is why it sounds so familiar and makes the song legendary at the same time

I think that because his roots are in percussion, that emphasis comes out in the rhythm of the course and melody he employs. percussion is the backbone of most rock bands and I don't see anyone complaining. I think the Foo's have a great variety of sounds they employ. A real musical legend in his own lifetime :)
