Great video James! I love this time of year (every other year) when Titleist launches their new irons! I can’t get over how beautiful these clubs are! I think these clubs rank #1 all time for me in looks alone for a cavity back. This coming from a huge Hogan fan. I’ve always liked the CB’s. And I love how they feel, but this is the first time I absolutely love the looks and can’t find anything to nitpick. They are absolutely spot on! I could 100% see myself moving to these from my 718 AP2s in the future even if it does cost me a few yards. Wow!
That is another cracking club test and boy don’t they look good 😍 I’m looking forward to trying these hopefully at the end of the month along with the new UT iron
Got a question for you all that I was wondering about. I play off 10 and strike my irons well. Do you think I would be able to maintain a good distance and just generally play them?
I'm thinking the same.. im off 9.7 and really like the look of these but know deep down I should probably go t100 or even t200. I trying them all on friday and cant wait
Best advice I've heard and concur with is to consider is what contributes to your 10 handicap. Lot of 10 handicappers out there that strike their irons really well. Maybe don't drive the ball that well or have trouble with putting. If you can consistently find the middle or very near the middle then you could play CB's or MB's even. I think these types of clubs make you a better ball striker because you have to find the middle and the club tells you immediately when you haven't. As far as distance if you base it off loft and not the numbers on the bottom of the club your distance should be fine. But if you put a 34 degree 7 iron up against a 28 degree 7 iron the 28 will win all day. I got fit into the Srixon Z 785's at a 9 handicap 3 months ago but iron play is a strength of my game . Now playing off a 6. Irons helped my game for a lot of reasons(mainly dispersion and spin) and I also fixed some things with Driver which was my major weakness contributing to the 9 handicap from being out of position. Goal is to get below 5.
I would like to see testing of all the Titleist MB models going back to the 710MB and compare them all against each other. That would be very interesting. ;) I play the 710mb irons.
Great vlog as always James! Question for you. Can we have a 2 minute Tuesday on the subject of playing with injured knees. My left knee if messed up from my days in the Service and I don;t have the flexibility or the ability to "spin" the knee in the downs swing or Shift it slightly if i try to bump the hips. Any help would be great!
Bill ... see a TPI certified physio and/or fitness trainer to assist you with your range of motion and addressing body limitations like knee problems. They work with your golf instructor to help you groove a swing that can maximize your potential.
...and what you did to get fit after your back operation. I had mine 5 years ago and suffer with muscle spasms that last 6 weeks a couple of times each year.
@@Erictheking66 hi Paul, I also suffer muscle spams in my back as a result of fracturing one of my vertebrae. The quack have me a prescription for a very small dose Valium tablet that has the effect of stopping the muscle from spasming - but only when absolutely necessary. Combining this with core strengthening exercise has allowed me to continue playing for the last 15 years. Good luck with it old fellow.
Hey pal I have tested the CB and MB against each other. My results were more consistent with the MB. CB model is great however the MB model is excellent. Golf is so dependant on the individual and what he or she wants. Although these are great reviews the only true way of knowing what is best for you is to go hit the clubs you look to look at and hold.
Jonathan T I’d like to see that myself! I currently have the 718 cb’s and have started testing other irons, one of which is the 919 tour irons. Pure shots do feel softer from the mizuno but prefer the looks of the Titleist.
I play a set of 712 cb’s on a regular basis, I still have my 690 cb’s that I love just don’t see me changing anytime soon, love to see more on the T 100’s and T200’s no that I’m 62 I my need more help !!!
I'm a 25 handicap golfer and since changing to mizuno mp-30 irons which are not shy off being a blade they've brought my handicap down, so playing the CB or the mb doesn't bother me and I personally think if I continue playing these sort of clubs my ball striking will improve and be far better than using a a set of shovel cavity backs
George Alexander I totally agree with your comment. If you have the proper weight shaft to match your strength and swing characteristics there’s no reason why this type of club shouldn’t be in your bag. Go for it!
If I had the money I'd buy a new set of blades but then again I'm happy with my mp-30s and considering they come out in 2005 they spin loads and feel great
These irons are beautiful. I'm torn between the t100 and cb for my next set. Other sets I'm considering are taylormade p760 and mizuno jpx 919. forged! Its gonna be a hard pick
@@ChefG3380 I know they are not all the same type of clubs, but I hit them well aside from the t100 amd new cb as i haven't hit them obviously! I'm waiting for golf season to slow down to the winter months to make my decision. I am a pretty decent iorn player and hit most iorns quite well.
I have a set of 690.cb’s. Fortunately/un- fortunately when I brought brand new my life/work changed and I never used them much. Until now. has the technology changed that much that I should look into a new set.
I may be wrong but I’m fairly sure my 716CBs have tungsten weighting in the heel and toe? How much are they per club? Haven’t got to the end of the video so don’t know if you mention that...!
After a lot of testing of different brands and models last year I bought and love the tp760. I will be going for a test fitting soon largely to look at the ts hybrid to possibly replace my srixon hybrid with less offset so was thinking of trying the t100s but now thinking of the cbs - what do you think viz an accurate comparison to the p760? Forged feel??
It'd be all about the MB for me, I'm 11 hcap but don't give a shite about who they're aimed at, they're mega 😍😍😍 Although I might be tempted more for a set of 718 MBs or maybe new Mizuno MP20 blades!!!!! Those things are gonna be epic!
Never understood why tour players would play any other irons than Titleist. Aside from the 7 figure sponsor check obviously. But the clubs they have their non titleist competitors make look just like Titleist MBs. Imagine that
Enjoying the videos James, thanks a lot for the time and effort you put in to these. They do look good, but am I good enough for them is always the question. I'll note those numbers down James and see what big Al Etches comes in at when he gives them a wack.
Wow golfers forget about game improving iron that is only marketing stuff to keep the factory going CB and MB is telling you why and how a golfbal is going to fly

Awesome video. Those cb irons look amazing I’m a mizuno guy but they look the goods. Can’t wait to see the video of the mb.
they're looking a lot like the 962B which isn't a bad thing, I loved those irons, couldn't believe they were cast

Are you losing distance? The gaping seemed too tight. 15 yards is what I like. Now that I am playing again. Thanks james
I'd love to see two types of the MB. Short, compact, and a longer toe to heel version.
For a cb they look pretty good. I bet they're fun to play with. I have a set of 690.mb that i like a lot
Dear Sir, they are looking very good however I have 680 MB with the right shaft so I don´t think I should change I won´t be contemplating it to change
Love my 718 CB’s
Fighting the urge to splurge with these are the new Mizuno on there way

Usually pretty custom to me mate. I play standard lie anyway and always get the shaft
Those CB’s look great, need to set them up against the i210 and the ‘new’ Mizuno’s (when are they going to turn up?). Great video James 😀

i210s are a way bigger profile. Iblade is the competitor here.
@@treeflip7 you are right. The i210 is probably more a competitor for the T100. Except the i210 isn't a forged iron.
