    I installed these im 230lb, and the bike still sits on the bump stops when sitting on it, ended up ordering new forks from ncy as these did nothing.

    Just did this mod last night: getting the plastic guide in was absolutely awful for me. The grease I used must have been too thick.. I have a 2024 model, it had a bumper in both tubes. I took one out in hopes it would give me some advantage to make these springs work as advertised. Unfortunately, I can’t tell much of a difference on my neighborhood test ride and it (visually) seems like the weight of the ruckus itself takes up most of the travel… I’m going to ride with these for a bit and see how it goes and if I can tell any difference around town. Worried it might not have worked for me and I’ll have to go with the original plan of replacing the forks with better ones anyway.

      We've sold nearly 1000 sets of these, so we have a pretty solid sample size. The compression spring is shorter, lowering the bike by 3/4", so perhaps that's what you're seeing. They are far stiffer however, so only the static ride height is lower. It seems Honda started putting a bump stop in both fork legs a few years ago. Running only one as Honda did for 15 years is the way to go.

      @@mnnthbx thank you for reading my comment. My intent was only to provide my personal experience, I admit that my testing has been limited and my expectations for an end result may also be different than other riders. I will be testing this setup more before trying any other solutions, and I must also say that I appreciate yall making a solution to try IMPROVING the stock system rather than replace. It is my preferred approach and have a hard time finding companies that have that mindset. So thank you.

    Thank for quick reply I sent you email couple of days ago and you answered. The reason why I ask you because you web site has pic of springs but they look like there were different sizes.

    My fork had 2 bumpers, weird. I put them both back in when I installed the springs, now the bike rides on the bumpers the whole time. It kind of did with the softer taller springs as well when loaded. I wish I could get the stiffer springs at stock height, maybe I will look for a spacer or something.

    What is the diameter of the silver inner tube, because I have a Lunacycle Apocalypse V2 that just bottoms out to easily want to upgrade the springs inside its hard to deal with chinese company that makes them for Lunacycle.

    Are these available with stock height; without lowering?

    • @mnnthbx
      @mnnthbx  3 года назад +1

      Static height is lower, but ride height is the same, as they sit higher in the stroke because they're stiffer....

    I just bought a Ruckus. Might have had second thoughts if I knew how pathetic the front forks are. Springs and grease??? In a tin shell??? Really??? Must be a whole $20 worth of parts there in both forks. My TREK mountain bike has better forks. WTF..... I'll bet the Chinese make something WAY better for not much maybe even real motorcycle type forks. I'll find some screw Honda.

    • @mnnthbx

      It’s a Ruckus…. They do the job just fine. If you’re fixating on fork action, you’re riding the wrong machine….

      Ahhh seems the Chinese DO make real forks for the Ruckus. With springs, oil, and damping rods. $100... I'll let you know how much better they are than having pogo sticks on the front end maybe you can stock them for selling.....
