Honda Ruckus : Upgrading the front suspension with NCY shocks

- This came with a Kit to do front disk on the honda ruckus but I decided to upgrade the forks but use a drum brake adaptor and do the disks when I can afford the front wheel with adaptor and tire. Things cost money ya'll!

I bought the NCY Front Fork Carbon Fiber Set (Drum) and it was really easy to install. Everything fit like the OEM forks, so I got to keep my front fender. And no need for additional kit pieces either. It made a BIG DIFFERENCE in handling the bumps (they don't beat me to death anymore).

will probably stay with stock after watching this - really appreciate the realizations. its a complete look if you go the distance like you did and its hip - looks better without the fender if its stretched IMO. if you get caught in the rain just hold you head to the side of the ruckus... watch those occasional rocks.
The front fender can definitely be made to fit new shocks ,just got cut it little put on top the mounts also if ur ruckus was yellow it'd look like the minions lol
Looking forward to you converting to disc brakes. I'm planning on doing the same during this snowy winter in chicago. Haha.
Yea - just need to save for a wheel hub and tire - and then we will be rocking it!

Hey Cesar hate to make the comment but your front right fork (opposite of drum brake) may be needing to be rotated 180°. Cant clearly tell how you ended up bolting it down.
I installed mine today and used the shorter sleeve the drum adapter kit supplied.
If you notice on that's fork there is about an half inch piece that's part of the shock that should be toward the wheel to make up the space in between the fork and tire.Right around 2:07 on your video is what I'm referring to.
I took some pictures of my install today if you'd like I can send you those somehow.
Where did you buy the adapter for the shocks
have you seen the vides where they run 2 same size stretched tires front and back? what do you think of those I think its from T5K the dude that makes the electric Ruckus...runs a wide front forks.

Did you end up needing a longer axle? I just did the same to mine with the drum adapter and when I tightened the nut all the way down i was only able to get the end of the axle flush with the end of the nut so the axle isnt sticking out at all. Should I just add some lock tight to it?
Loctite for sure (red) and mine was good. It was short after I added the bracket for the Grom fender (see new video for he mod) but as long as it threes 3-5 times and you loctite it should should be good. I would do it and run around and then check it each ride for a few rides.

They make a ncy aftermarket for the ruckus that is capable of the drum break. Make sure it says for drum and don't get the disk break conversion. If you do you need to buy an adaptor
your socket got rucked up...never underestimate the power

Does the stock tire rub on the front fender? I have mine on with my 12" front wheel with out any issues.

@@SmallEngineVelocity I personally feel like a Ruck without the front fender looks like a person with missing front teeth. But then again I have a GY6 on my ruck so take that with a grain of salt 😂

Small Engine Velocity I’m thinking fit 120/90/10 to front with same RRGS low down fork as urs, just not quit sure the clearance will be enough for wheel to turn, lol.
As long as they are it low down stocks it will work. I use to run the stock front tire with my aftermarket front shocks
