Case was one of the few tractor manufacturer's that manufactured their own tractor rather than painting a streiger, the other was John deere, thanks for sharing
@@RJ1999xI can't speak for FWA tractors but a 3294 MFWD vs a 1470, the 1470 will slowly gain on the 3294, when traveling the same speed, pulling the exact same tillage implement. I can say this, as we own both, and use both. We don't have a FWA tractor to test against, as the only ones that were common in my area were Deere's FWA system, which was less than stellar.
@@J-1410 A FWA and MFWD are the same thing and a 3294 would have far more power then a 1470 case. We had a 2294 MFWD and a 2670 and they were about the same in the field, in fact the 2294 actually pulled better in some conditions
@@RJ1999x I'm sure owners of a 4440 FWA will disagree with you there, as the definition of FWA is that the front axle is not driven off of the transmission, but off a different system and is not meant to run full time like a MFWD system, which by definition is run off the transmission, usually with a driveshaft. In other words, there is a reason why it is called "assist", and those owners of the hydraulic run FWA of those tractors found that out the hard way. So, pick one, either a FWA or MFWD will run away, be the same, or be left in the dust.

Excluding the Wagners
By 1986 CaseIH was painting Steigers
Forgetting versatile as well and big bud.
@@mikefolknation2851 They owned Steiger then

i just watched the video-clip of Megadeth "Foreclosure of a Dream"...i was curious about the tractor...and now i'm here in the depths of RUclips! :D
Beautiful, truly a work of art
That's a different one I've seen 👏
The crab steering just never caught on. One hell of a tractor
I remember that case style logo before they bought international
So this is where my moormans hat is going. lol enjoy. the power of the internet!
Nice tractor
all powershifts blow up at big expense. better off with an old straight gear shift versatile or steiger
I wonder what if case didn’t got bought out what would happen
Case didn't get bought out, they took over IH. The first CaseIH tractors were a Case tractor painted red
@@HamiltonFamily2023Tenneco bought Case in the 1960s
Had 4 different models, in my opinion there was no advantage to one of these vs an articulated tractor.
There was few if any advantage to a MFWD
A rigid frame will out pull a fwa, just due to weight and distribution.
@@J-1410 you would think, but the Case had too much parasitic power loss, so in reality the fwa was better
