Dude 5 months ago 7:07 was not just alien to me but absolutely out of the universe. Yesterday I did 7:10 5 laps in a row with the M4 GT4. Practice makes perfect and it feels like I can push a lot harder in some sections, but maybe not.

Had the identical thought "2nd gear in this car is pretty useless". Ran it for practice on Assetto Corsa, the M4 GT4. It's so short. 3rd, 4th, 5th and sometimes 6th. are usefull. 1st, 2nd and 7th are rarely used.
Now that start made me LOL!
Good race Dave, glad i didn't keep you up tooooo long in the beginning 🙈. We were running the same equipment, love the la prima bundle (with invicta pedals) but i really need to learn how to be better on the brakes 😂 (and sorry for swearing on the channel 😉)

There should be a taser like pads on the steering wheels and when someone crashes it jolts them just enough to prevent them from doing it again. No pain... no deterrent...

I love the GT4's at Nords, but you have to remember they will hop, skip and slide and you need to be prepared.
I got my new PC build finished last weekend so iRacing is much more enjoyable now that I can turn up the graphics and see where I'm going. 😂

Great race Dave. I love this series too. I am glad this race went better for you. I was in the race when you were punted just before the finish line. You crawled across in fourth. The whole race was a clown show to tell you the truth.
26:31 didn't race for a long time but this ringmeister series was the reason why I reactivated my account and I noticed it here at daves channel.
I think iRacing should spend him some iRacing dollars because I will spend alot in cars the next weeks and I bet I'm not the only one ;)

Unfortunate finish for 1 and 2. They were trying to do the right thing by letting him, the #7 should've just held off and let the finish play out as it should've but then again he was not to know they were doing that. Good run by you Dave even if you got lucky at the start coming out. That other car could've easily have come across more as he was still in front but fair play to him for letting your through as you were going faster and on the running lane.
Nice driving! Most of the guys you had to pass were all over the place!
Yeah not my finest rejoin that 😂 Rene and I had a carbon copy of this race the following time slot and we managed to not roof each other! He was really apologetic and it was just one of those things, not helped by netcode!

I thought you would get podium from sheer force of attrition alone, based on the first lap of the race. Good race.
I've looked at the La Prima wheel and base bundle. Not sure it is worth it changing from the Fanatec CSL DD. But I do like the look of the wheel.

Great race especially handicapping yourself from the pits. I'm curious about what in-ear monitors you are using. Looking for a good pair as I'm tired of sweating in the bulky over-ear headsets. Cheers!

I set iracing to max force 12nm and clicked auto after a lap or so. No clipping and as high as I would usually use it 👍

Dave, question, I recently got the Fanatec DD bundle with the standard pedals, looking to get a load cell brake, is the fanatec load cell brake worth getting ? My budget is low (next to getting divorced low) Cheers mate.
What did you have before ? fanatec DD any good ?
Defo worth getting Tony, Thats the pedals I use and I can say the load cell transforms braking! I could not go with a LC now.
@@movingforward1981 I had a trusty G29 mate, I purchased the 5nm bundle with the BMW wheel and the McLaren GT wheel. Night and day fella, night and day, if you are sitting on the fence now is the time to buy. 100% recommend, the basic pedals are good but not brilliant but everything else has made racing bloody awesome. If you order, let me know LOL

Hey Dave any recommendations for a good direct drive in a budget, i race across all different driving from drift to time attack, gt3, rally. A circular wheel option would be great too. I’m so lost with so many options
I believe fanatec has a bundle for 399 right now with their 5nm base pedals and full wheel.

The newer wheelbases are certainly much more responsive than the dd1 & dd2, but it all depends if you can move it on at a decent price to offset the cost of a new one 🫤

I don't own one, but I did see on Asetek site they sell an Invicta Quick Release Adapter. The screw pattern seems to match that of the MPX.

I would love to switch to Iracing but unfortunately the settings are hard to understand initially and I don't have any friends who use it we are all on ACC server competitive LFM
