One major thing this reform does not include (and they likely couldn't do with their current budget) is that increased investment in the betterment of the community was not done. That sort of synergy would be revolutionary. Unfortunately, this is only half of the solution.
As a cross country truck driver I have been to some pretty heavy towns, Camden was maybe the heaviest. I met some really heavy people and am proud to say they became good friends. Saved my life but that's another story. The moral to this story is if you treat people with respect they will do likewise. Camden is the only place I have ever been with an ATM that would dispense five dollars at a time. It's a heavy town. God bless you Beau, and thanks brother.
Growing up as a teenager in philadelphia you always heard about the crime in Camden, back in the 2000s it was a rough time it was very dangerous to be in that neighborhood. But now it has gotten alot better. Is it perfect, No because there's no jobs for people but its definitely in a better place than i thought it would be.
why y'all filming over by the college &RCA "LUXURY LOFTS"(SMALL AS HELL TOO)instead of going back over towards Royden? filming that from the drone camera or the helicopter whatever you filming with? Go film Lime? Street go film 5th Street? Go film state Street…..crossover state Street and go to "Little Iraq" and film up there. They the people been getting the shaft for the past 40 years. Some white boy junkie from Cherry Hill dying on that front step.he done shot a hot bag... I understand the Metro has helped but come on y'al? If y'all going to do a piece on Camden keep itl 💯. Don't just do aerial shots of Rutgers and RCA luxury lofts.,.... The aquarium & the riverfront?.. no no do Walter Rand people! big ups for bringing in the metro? But where is he is a police officer now?
@@newdefsys, NeighborhoodScout's Jan. 2, 2020 report puts Camden at #18. According to their Jan 1, 2013 report, Camden was #2. It's still in the top 20 today and police have their work cut out for them, but I think we can all agree there's been significant improvement.
When they reorganized, they doubled the number of police. The problem was the Union!!!
Disbanding so they could bust up the union was a key step for sure. This wouldn't have worked otherwise.

26th not 3rd
In 2018 they were 3rd. 2019 they were 26th..
@@chadk9929 Being the 26th Murder Capital of America isnt exactly an accomplishment.
NDS That a huge drop from being 3rd though so it’s progress
Be quiet
