RUDY!! That right hand diesel just happens to be one of the MOST sought after vehicles in the rest of the world outside of North America. That is a Toyota Troop Carrier commonly known as a Troopie.
Dude this video is epic. The fact this 30yr old or so truck is doing better than modern Tacoma’s is f*****g hilarious and a testament to just how good that little truck is. I want one of these so bad. Keep it up buddy, your little truck is very very cool ✌🏼❤️
I feel like the Comanche is the correct vehicle for rock crawling. I'd way rather take a sub $1k vehicle out where it's probably going to get a bunch of body damage than one of those super expensive setups. (not that I even have an extra 1k, lol. I live vicariously through you guys)
Glad to see y’all got Firestone to sponsor something but personally I will probably never have another set, 12 years ago I had a set that didn’t last 8k miles on a work truck had to repair 3 flats during that time as well. I only drove on gravel/ caliche roads in west tx. Definitely a fan of Bf.s Cooper and Patagonia.I have a set of the Patagonia XTs on a 2012 Ram 2500 4x4 Cummins 15k mi on them in SE NM hunting and they have held up great about 90% tread left.
Makes me feel good to see the Tacoma is able to do those trails. I've got my 3 inch lift and am waiting to get my low clearance bumpers before I get my 35's. Great team and wonderful locations! Thanks for taking us along.
Wow. Great work Rudy, it is super cool to see just what a few simple (ish) changes can make to the functionality of a vehicle as opposed to the huge and very expensive modifications that we still love to see perform anyway. Keep it up man
6am.. in the dark... stripping wheels and tires with a noisy impact gun..... sparks flying and no one called the police??? 😂🤣😂 some of those rigs look pretty heavy with stuff 🙂 Did you guys have Rory on notice of your adventures??? 😂 we know how how he loves Toyotas and vehicles with roof top tents🙂 Thanks for sharing 🙂
HOLLY I freaked out a little watching you climb out of the window! I crushed a vertebra and had pain for 4 years. I know what a struggle it is. Nobody can see pain so you keep it to yourself. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a pain free life. ❤❤❤
Thank you, Mark. I have really been taking it easy, while trying to get back into the swing of things. There are some uncomfortable moments, but I did take a solid 5 months of recovery and ease into rehab. It was heartbreaking to skip 24 Hell and Back (with all my best friends) in September, but the docs told me not to wheel until late October/November and I listened ☺️.
Nice to see the Comanche out and conquering. I just seen the Rudicon doing some amazing things on Trailmater. The Rudicon has become like part of the RUclips family over tge years - lol. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Rory if I ever go wheeling in Moab I would want you, Paul and probably Rory you guys are the best and I know there would be any situation that you guys couldn't handle.
Thanks Rudy I miss my Comanche. The long beds are the perfect wheel base. They go anywhere just about. Being the truck is so long you probably won’t break the Model 35 diff. Gemini bridges trail did NOT look that when I did it in 2020. It was pretty smooth with one dip.

You forgot to mention that that truck started as a 2 wheel drive. It is an awesome rig. Poor Holly, someone needed to cut that pin and remove that hitch. Great video. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
nice to watch you all driving in different terrain, than i am used too. mostly mountains and heavily treed stuff here in my part of OZ. I do wish a had a play 4wd, so that i didnt worry about wrecking my daily driver 4wd though. Keep up the cool vids Rudy.
Paul is slowly but surely disqualifying himself for these "basically stock" runs. What does he own that isn't super capable at this point :) Love the show Rudy!
Kane creek is one of those trails that gets harder the father you go. Did it a few years ago with 5 other ram PowerWagons. It was a long day getting those fullsize trucks through that trail.
Two tires I had unreasonable problems with were Firestone and Uniroyal , I will never spend money on either again. Both failed nearly new one with less than 100 miles could not get either manufacture to replace.
Love the Comanche, want to see more of it! BTW, my OCD screams when someone installs a tire and just drives away without taking the sticker off the treads. What kind of monster would do that to us??!
Cheers to my fellow ginger. Im a xj idiot to. might not be the most expensive but one of my favorite Utah rigs.. oh and the truck has come out nicely.. I dig how you did the ft fender flares. I cut mine before I saw that video looks great
Enjoyed seeing the Comanche again! I think you really found a nice one to modify. It seems like the 2 or 3 on RUclips are light blue. All we got on the east coast was red ones I think. And they rust pretty bad over here. Keep on wheelin’ and posting. Us flatlanders love the content 👍
@@DB-yj3qcthat could be but for some reason I see far more red ones on the FB groups and marketplace for sale. If blue was produced in higher numbers, someone smashed all of them or most of them went west of the pecos.
Good lessons for not proper recovery points front and rear and 2 of the wheeling pickups...Rudy's Commanche and Holy's Tacoma. On Holy's, the use of the flat bed hold down can be used, but once that reaches a certain pound use, expect that to bend or fly off.
something I never hear discussed on these channels... when doing a lift, do y'all adjust headlight angle accordingly for the sake of other drivers? (probably not a big deal in a Toyota of that vintage, but once modern LED lights/projector beams come into play it's a safety issue)
For reference that “landrover” is a 70 series landcruiser troop carrier. Either has the 2h or the 1hz or 1hd fte being diesel. Most reliable vehicle in that convoy.
Rudy wish you would put out more content
RUDY!! That right hand diesel just happens to be one of the MOST sought after vehicles in the rest of the world outside of North America. That is a Toyota Troop Carrier commonly known as a Troopie.
yep very popular here in OZ as well.
Wow! Someones back is certainly feeling really good! glad Holly is all healed up!
😊💙
Holly climbing out the tacoma window shows her back is feeling better. Good times
Pain pills must be helping 😂
Ya, pretty amazing 😂😂
My thoughts EXACTLY! I was thinking "WTF ARE YOU DOING! GIVE THAT BACK A BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!"
couldnt have been they filmed this before her injury.
She's so graceful!...
The old Comanche is pretty amazing 😊
Dude this video is epic. The fact this 30yr old or so truck is doing better than modern Tacoma’s is f*****g hilarious and a testament to just how good that little truck is. I want one of these so bad. Keep it up buddy, your little truck is very very cool ✌🏼❤️
It is a Toyota Landcruiser 70 series Troopcarrier AKA troopy
That pretty much stock taco with a lift and 33s did suprisingly good.
I feel like the Comanche is the correct vehicle for rock crawling. I'd way rather take a sub $1k vehicle out where it's probably going to get a bunch of body damage than one of those super expensive setups. (not that I even have an extra 1k, lol. I live vicariously through you guys)
Shewt, show me where you can find a Comanche for under a grand!
You and me both man!
Could find one that's got a ton of rust probably
That's right.... Keep my street quenn apreciating
I got it 1978 square body that has locking difs and 1300 in tires for 1600 bucks there out there an a ton of fun
Good to see Overland Under Budget out with you all. His home built Taco camper is pretty awesome.
Awesome wheeling! Thanks for taking us along 😊
Rudy + Paul = BadAss!!
Glad to see y’all got Firestone to sponsor something but personally I will probably never have another set, 12 years ago I had a set that didn’t last 8k miles on a work truck had to repair 3 flats during that time as well. Hollie looking better than ever! The Jeep Comanche is the OG Honda Ridgeline lol. Still super bad ass. Love it Rudy.
Don’t you disrespect the Comanche like that.
I could se a couple or AirBnB neighbors being very happy to hear grinding and impact noises in the early mornings... ;-)
You let everyone shine, I like that. No hamming for the camera.
Hope and pray that everything is ok with you I was just wondering if you are going to put any videos out anymore
That lil Comanche did great especially for open differential. Good job 👏
Makes me feel good to see the Tacoma is able to do those trails. I've got my 3 inch lift and am waiting to get my low clearance bumpers before I get my 35's. Great team and wonderful locations! Thanks for taking us along.
Who else wants to see Rudy, Trevor, and Lizzy do videos together? cuz I do!
Wow. Great work Rudy, it is super cool to see just what a few simple (ish) changes can make to the functionality of a vehicle as opposed to the huge and very expensive modifications that we still love to see perform anyway. Keep it up man
Always looking forward to a Rudy video

❤soooooooooo scenic. So jealous !
Mini Trucks in Moab! YES!!!!
Rudy what an awesome build really knows what to and how to do it Always enjoy your videos Rudy keep them coming I miss Janelle this time around
The Comanche needs to be a complete build, those things are so rare and already built for what you do best.
Merry Christmas & a Happy new year to you both.
That old Bronco is awesome! Great video!
HOLLY I freaked out a little watching you climb out of the window! I crushed a vertebra and had pain for 4 years. I know what a struggle it is. Nobody can see pain so you keep it to yourself. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a pain free life. ❤❤❤

I like the headliner colors I have same material if ya need more😊
Rudy, is back! I've been waiting for some content from RAD🎉
Stance and wheel and tire setup is perfect on the Comanche.
Excellent video - loved seeing Paul & Rudy show off their skills & teamwork.
Another adventure ! Thanks for sharing !
great job again.
Let's go Rudy!!😊
looked like a fun time, those new tires worked great!
MOAB is wonderful place for anything outdoors (winters not included for me). There's literally something for everyone. Good Luck troops!
Good job, Rudy! Good content, good video and editing work as well, you are doing good, Brother!
Love my Comanche! That last trail looked fun! More videos Rudy 🤘🏻😂
love the comache style p/u, i am still looking for one here in pa. great work Rudy!

Shoutout to Holly 🫶🏻 also Rudy 💪🏻 the Comanche rocks Moab ❤️✌🏻
If Paul showed up to help when I was broke down, I know I'd be saved.
You forgot to mention that that truck started as a 2 wheel drive. It is an awesome rig. Poor Holly, someone needed to cut that pin and remove that hitch. Great video. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
True, although its not the first time i see drivers smashing the hitch when crawling, sometimes bending the bumper or getting stuck.
nice to watch you all driving in different terrain, than i am used too. mostly mountains and heavily treed stuff here in my part of OZ. I do wish a had a play 4wd, so that i didnt worry about wrecking my daily driver 4wd though. Keep up the cool vids Rudy.
4:20 Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series. Built for reliability and awesomeness. You can get two or four-door. Windows or panels in the back or a truck.
Firestone! It's a good thing rock crawling doesn't reach highway speeds. The little Jeep did good for open diffs.
Awesome time Rudy! Thank you so much for sharing
That round ball slider sticking out he back o& Holly’s truck is pretty neat. I wonder if it has other applications.
Great job guys. Thank you 😊
Love Gemini Bridges trail. Great on mountain bikes too.
Great way to start my day smiling! BTW cool brother!
YEEEES! Comanche content I've been waiting for!
I gotta say we haven't seen much of the cammanche since u made it 4×4 but performed pretty good ..... we need to see cammanche more often
Paul is slowly but surely disqualifying himself for these "basically stock" runs. What does he own that isn't super capable at this point :)
Love the show Rudy!
I really like the Comanche I like that it’s not jacked up too much and it done a good job to
Looks like a Landcruiser Troop Carrier Rudy if I had to guess 👍
I just bought a shit box 88 Comanche 4x4 5 speed short bed. I would like to see more Comanche content please. I bought it cause your videos haha.
Looks like you're back is feeling better
Great video! Fantastic group to go trailing with!
Kane creek is one of those trails that gets harder the father you go. Did it a few years ago with 5 other ram PowerWagons. It was a long day getting those fullsize trucks through that trail.
Love the Comanche Rudy. 🤓👍
Double stacking wheel adapters!? This ain't Whistlin' Diesel! 😂
15:00 hooking to the uphill rocks made me think of Wiley Coyote
😂😂
Andy is hilarious. You should have an Andy commentary section.
Two tires I had unreasonable problems with were Firestone and Uniroyal , I will never spend money on either again. Both failed nearly new one with less than 100 miles could not get either manufacture to replace.
The famous 500 that failed so many times. Hard to trust again.
Me super exited for the Land Rover…oh.. it’s just a troopy 😂
That Andy dude needs more appearance time. Kid is funny
Double ‘daptors! Legit af
After watching this I think I am going to sacrifice one of my old hitches and weld a plate onto it as a slider.
Love the Comanche, want to see more of it! BTW, my OCD screams when someone installs a tire and just drives away without taking the sticker off the treads. What kind of monster would do that to us??!
Those tags don’t last long running the road
I know. It really shouldn't matter, but it does. 😂
I ran Gemini Bridges with my 21 Trail Boss. Like you said, a pretty easy trail, but it's fun knowing that my truck's been where you were.
I drove an 88 Comanche pioneer for 25 years, sold it running with 405k miles on the original 4liter. Wish I had never sold it.....
I sold a 90 long bed
Comanche 6 5 speed with 250k on it. Wish I
Would have never sold it
too...
Cheers to my fellow ginger. Im a xj idiot to. might not be the most expensive but one of my favorite Utah rigs.. oh and the truck has come out nicely.. I dig how you did the ft fender flares. I cut mine before I saw that video looks great
yep very popular here in OZ as well.
Been waiting for the Comanche videos 🎉
Lets get our girls together soon! It’s always cool to see what they can do stock. 🤟🏼
Absolutely!
I am soo happy to see Holly back to her shenanigans'! Part of the title should have been "Rock sliders are a nifty idea!"
Blue was the most common color with red, black and white following. Mine is one of the blue ones.
@@DB-yj3qcthat could be but for some reason I see far more red ones on the FB groups and marketplace for sale. If blue was produced in higher numbers, someone smashed all of them or most of them went west of the pecos.

Makes me want one lol Rudy definitely need to put out more videos and were was your side kick at Janelle??
something I never hear discussed on these channels... when doing a lift, do y'all adjust headlight angle accordingly for the sake of other drivers?
(probably not a big deal in a Toyota of that vintage, but once modern LED lights/projector beams come into play it's a safety issue)
I always do, but in this day and age, almost everyone has brighter lights than me, and I never get flashed
Merry Christmas Rudy from Sydney Australia. 🌏🌲
Awesome video Rudy. More videos would be awesome too 🤷🏻♂️
I'd love to see you do something similar to the Comanche what Colt did to the S10. I think the Comanche could be super capable. ❤ all the content.
The little Jeep is great 👍😎✊
A Japanese legend in front of you, nothing close to a land rover... Love your videos!
Was that the "land rover"?
I'm still watching waiting to see it lol
For reference that “landrover” is a 70 series landcruiser troop carrier. Either has the 2h or the 1hz or 1hd fte being diesel. Most reliable vehicle in that convoy.
That’s a Landcruiser series 75 Trooper.
Here in Africa they are dime a dozen. Got one myself 😁👍🏻
Looking for this coment. 👍
Gret teamwork. Not too much damage to the Comanche.
Waited a long time for the Comanche to come back
Comanche, with rear stear, wow.
Do that! Be the first one!
HEY! Hello Rudy and Holly!
😊👋🏻
Land Cruiser. Close in Australia we call them troopies as the military used them for a long time as transport for troops
Some type of small roller bumpers for the sides of vehicles would help protect. Think boat bumpers at the dock.
