- This video showcases the "Nowhere to Torment" build which uses two perks to simultaneously see Survivor auras and become stealthy. This seems to work really well on Cannibal and Oni, but I'm sure several other Killers could use it!

I haven't felt like playing Dead by Daylight in a while, but the amount of fun you're having in these games is drawing me back in. I'm amazed that after so many thousands of hours, you can still enjoy yourself this much in this game.

The first match was awesome, they didnt make terrible mistakes, but wow that ending the match so quick with the timing. It all lined up so perfect and you didn't miss a beat.
That panic drop of the pallet resulted in 2 instant downs while 1 person already is on the hook. Id consider this a terrible mistake.
I've been saying it since Knight's perks were revealed that Lethal Pursuer, Nowhere to Hide, Trail of Torment and Call of Brine/Eruption was going to be a nasty combo that could become part of the meta. Here is the proof that combo is nuts that I was waiting for.
I've been playing this build since Knight's release and it's probably the best build I've played in a long time. CoB and Erupion replace Trail of Torment for sweat squads if I'm trying to win, but ToT is just the more fun perk.
The hotfix was that it now works with lethal pursuer to extend nowhere to hide’s duration which was the only negative this perk had at the time lol
Nobody had off the record this game, so it looks like the hotfix also made it so the 24m just sticks to the gen, and not the killer. Otherwise he would have seen Claudette at that one point in the game
As a person who hasn't played since the Legion was the newest killer but still occasionally enjoys the content, thanks for explaining the build at the beginning! Helps understand what's going on much quicker!

oppression is so underrated. wish more people knew about it.. yknow... since everyone forgets about twins
I like it, but I don't use it super often because of the massive cool down time.
Idk, chief. In theory Oppression can cause like 40% regression with zero cost (no need for hooking like Pop or depending on scourge hook like Pain Res). This is quite nutty and this alone may justify 80 sec timer. The problem with that is for it to happen all survivors must be on gens AND they need to miss a skillcheck. And even survivors miss it the first time, they will be more vigilant next time, plus the skillcheck itself is not that hard (5% success zone, which is equal to Overcharge and 2% less than DS)
It's just not that reliable. Absolutely devastating potential balanced by a hefty timer, but at the same time very random. Like... I like the concept, but that's not my cup of tea

I really hope The Knight's perks go unchanged. Hubris and Nowhere to Hide are not only super useful, but they also incentivize chases with survivors rather than camping 3-gens with COB, overcharge, and eruption. They fit very nicely into unique builds where the idea is to increase the killer's lethality rather than increase the time spent in a game. Pulling off a fun build, like the one featured in the video, is the real bread and butter of this game. Getting your ass kicked for 4-5 games with a build like this only to finally understand the synergy between your perks and killer power in the next game is the best fealing in DBD. But I'm sure otz already knows this.

@@spaceblockb5284 and no one said otherwise. She would still be strong and that is okay. Because she wouldn't be as game breaking as she is with two blinks, since landing your first blink every time can be really difficult. However, I think nurse needs to either be removed or majorly reworked. Just removing one blink would be a lazy solution and probably make aura reading perks a must have for her
@@Anemyya Her blink attack should count as a m2 attack so exposed perks like noed and starstruck are not that broken against her,she needs a much longer 2nd blink charge time i think the first should come back really fast but the 2nd blink should come back in more than 20 seconds so she cant instantly down anyone
Her blink failed attack cooldown is longer and during the cooldown if you flashlight her she will get stunned for 5 seconds
This might not be that much but it makes nurses not being able to instant down people and makes flashlights useful against nurse(she can already be stunned i think but its hard since the cooldown is so short)

I started using Trail a little while before the Knight release, I knew right away when I saw Nowhere to Hide it would make Trail of Torment godly. I feel so validated seeing a vid detailing how powerful it can be :)
I absolutely enjoy meme build the most in this game, winning with 4k does not excite me as much when my silly perk combo works. But a lot of players do not appreciate the fact you are goofing and get almost no hook throughout the game, so sweaty it is.
Oppression getting some love, a underrated little gem.

I love the oni content. He's definitely my fav killer and the one I put the most time in. Running gift of pain is definitely my favorite perk on him besides infectious fright. It synergies with his power so well and weakens the counters to oni.

I was playing pyramid head a couple days ago with nowhere to hide and trail of torment and loved the combination. I was also running overcharge and something else I have forgotten. I’m pretty new to the game and don’t have or know all the perks yet but my favorite is nowhere to hide.
Its a bit like the seemingly off-meta skillcheck doctor build, which starts like a meme but is actually really good

add ons are both slow down on box solving.
the reason this build is so strong is it gives survivors so many side objectives (including the box) that it buys you an incredible amount of time to kill them all, without the need to even obtain the box a single time.

It actually was shadow nerfed in the last patch by making it no follow the killers location. Now it's just 24 meters around a gen which is still very strong information on some killers.

I'm not sure if you are aware already, but i believe no where to hide reveals auras within the radius and the effect *persists* for 5-7 seconds, so it can appear as if it follows you outside of the radius

Honestly, does anyone else find Distortion to be a low-key great perk? Like, not only does it tell you what perks the killer has, it also tells you what perks they DON'T have. I find it's amazing and it's honestly what I run all the time now, it's almost always useful for me.

This has more or less been my go-to Oni build since seeing this! I run Brutal Strength instead of Fearmonger to get pallets out of the way early more reliably and apply NTH as fast as possible in my power, then lethal + nth basically plays your power for you (especially now they made it follow you as intended rather than stick to the gen, which I honestly think miiight have made it a bit too good on high mobility killers)
I'm getting into the game very recently as a killer main and I think I've just been sold on Oni

Has anybody else tried out taps perk which lets you turn good skill checks into great ones with the new ability that lets you see the killer with great skill checks from the new DLC. it works out pretty good imo because it turns all skill checks into great as long as it's good

I’m incredibly late to this but, this is also absolutely filthy with Nemesis. If you use the add-on Serotonin injector, hitting zombies will keep you undetectable between bouts. Even during a chase
I've found it really fun to run Myers with Nowhere to Hide, Lethal, Plaything, and Iron Maiden. Plaything makes it so that I can get close without them noticing, or at least closer, iron maiden makes it so that even when they hide they then reveal themselves after, and the other 2 are self explanatory. Super fun build

Hey otz, I suggest you try the elusive Bill build, I have recently seen the 2 videos of Coconut RTS "I Faced the Best Survivor in Dead by Daylight" and "I Pursued the Solo Survivor Dream" and I really liked it. I think it would be nice to try that on stream or something.
With the new aura perks for killer that are honestly insanely strong imo (I’m just a casual survivor player), object and distortion are new mainstays for me-
If you try fearmonger as well with trail of torment, survivors won't be able to see which generator is affected and so you can sneak up on them even more! :)

I randomly was thinking. Bubba needs a little buff I feel like. If maybe he could interact with the corn on farm stages like maybe cut them in half it would be a super mild buff that interacts with the stage itself and would only apply on certain levels be very niche. But it could be cool to see killers interact with more than just windows and pallets
It's basically old "screamer nurse" all over again.

discovered this exact bubba build except I use bbq instead of opression, and now I'm on a 30 game win streak :D
@Otzdarva, similar to your first match as bubba;
i have an even more insane clip i can show you. in the first 30 seconds of the match, i used lethal pursuer to find all 4 on the top gen at helicopter; landed a triple chainsaw sweep and caught the last one within 10 seconds. i downed all 4 within a time span of like 12 seconds.
if you want me to send it to you, i can. tbf they probably didn't realize what was happening at first, because the kate denson wasnt even moving yet, and dwight was still moving slowly figuring out his surroundings, but still i thought it was poggers < 3
What about Dragon's Grip on this build for M1 killers? The aura that the survivors can see will lure them into touching that gen and thereby punishing them.
I'm pretty sure Lethal Pursuer is bugged with this perk and it boosts it in two ways. First, it increased the length of time the radius of aura reading stays around you, and second, much like how Lethal still works on Awakened Awareness, it makes the aura linger for 2 seconds when they exit your radius.
nope. it is not bugged. the way it works is that the aura follows you for 5 seconds in 24 meter radius and when 5 seconds are gone, you lose aura reading.
With lethal pursuer, If you see a survivor in 24 meter radius before 5 seconds is depleted, it will show aura for an additional 2 seconds. So for example, if you see a survivor at 4 seconds, you will see aura for 1 second normally then see aura for 2 seconds lingering with Lethal pursuer.
Lethal pursuer DOES NOT extend the duration of Nowhere to hide by 2 seconds. It only add 2 seconds IF you have already detected someone with the aura. Lethal pursuer is a wasted perk slot. All content creator are click-baiting these two perks without understand how the perk works and it is not good.
