Man, this new killer is so cool to watch! I especially love his ability to turn the survivor's face into pictures of puppies and kittens during his mori animation, that's such a novel concept!
FYI: The deal with Mikaela at 11:50 is because there's a bug right now that any time a killer is forced to drop a survivor for any reason, pallet save, DS, wiggle out, etc, their camera stays locked on to the killer until there's another forced camera shift (eg being hooked). It's pretty fucking gamebreaking.
6:55 A quirk of singularity is that survivors have a ~5 second period after unhooking / being unhooked during which being slipstreamed takes significantly more time.
@@coranbaker6401 did you? Otz isn't able to lock onto the unhooked survivor because it's too slow. He then tags another survivor, which is full speed since they aren't the one unhooked. 3 seconds might be an exxageration, it's closer to 2/2.5 seconds. Still long enough to make tagging someone off the hook impossible until after the penalty period.
He is strong, but he is also very unique. I think people need to realize it is less about the changes he needs and more so accepting that this is just a killer you cant pallet loop for 20 minutes like you can with many others.

The thing about him is I feel like though he's insanely strong, I wouldn't change anything about him. FYI: Made for this and For the People Does Work! When Using it, you automatically get the endurance from healing someone else, which I figured out yesterday! It also triggers the secondary ability of WGLF
I've noticed that the undetectable you gain while looking through pods really throws people off sometimes. I imagine it could actually be used in certain loops to get free hits. You're on one side of the loop and the pod is on the other so you know where the survivors are going yet they're unsure where you are
Well you see, Survivors don't immediately die when the killer looks at them so he's weak /s Seriously tho, I've been trying to explain that calling for emp nerfs after 4 days isn't good for balance. That's a knee jerk reaction. He's already really good, nerfing emps is just gonna make him S tier until getting nerfed into the ground
I am really enjoying the new killer. I’m glad the emps deny his patrol aspects and encourages an aggressive chase style. I am excited to see the potential of this guy
@@scrapinator8898 I agree. Emps shouldn't charge on it's own. I had to reinfect someone 5 times in a row because whole team just had emps every second
I think what will end up happening is his attacking first upon coming out of "teleporting" will be considered a special attack, where he still has the green effect, therefore negating that insane pressure and giving the survivors a chance and the killers a choice of one state of damage or wait it out to get the instadown
You can get up to 40% haste bonus on Singularity with machine learning, play with your food, game afoot, NOED, and SOMA family photo. Game afoot can be triggered by breaking a pallet with TP or having it breaking over your head. You can proc play with your food by simply taking control of your bio pods and taking foreign plant fiber helps.
This guy is such a big brain required killer. It can really feel like a chess match with survivors, just like hag and trapper. He is a fine addition to the much under loved category of 'set up' killer. And he can really use several unorthodox builds, like I enjoy Trail of Torment and Dragons Grip. You don't get to use those perks often 😂
im glad bhvr is trying out new killer archtypes while not the most liked killer skullmerchant seemed to have the intentions of being designed as a heavy information archtype/playstyle and singularity just takes that and makes it fun so i like it
A friend and I found that if you want to use the blindness effect add on with Singularity it's better to place the pods closer to the ground. Easier to see them, but provides a bigger radius. Up high is better for scouting survivors.
I'm so glad you made this video. I have been playing this killer a lot and running multiple builds but have been honestly really struggling and this build sounds like a blast. I've found myself feeling like I'm doing so much but at the same time am doing so little if that makes sense? I definitely think the brown addon you're using, the baseball glove, is very nice, allows you to force pallets easier. Great build as always though!
I think i stopped struggling when i stopped trying to set up as if i were hag or trapper, at the start go on your usual hunt for survivors putting pods on your way instead of going to gens that are gonna get EMPed anyway, and use his crazy strength on chase to snowball. Pods are more useful for infor than they are for infection, you can do that in chase and eventually you will have a couple of spots that help you in chase anyway.
Lightborn + Iron Grasp + Awakened Awareness + Starstruck is my go-to build on all killers with a little bit of hubris in there from time to time, I highly recommend giving it a try
Personally I think Play With Your Food is pretty good on this killer as well. Nobody else has an unpromped "leave chase" button without consequences (other then the obvious distance theyll gain), Ive gotten PWYF stacks while chasing the obsession just because I swapped over to cams for a bit
Ooo I might try this, I'm currently struggling a tiny bit because the survivors are still oppressive af with the EMP's at the moment, so I'm trying to find a good build that benefits me when my power is shut down so I'm not hindered all game.
@@waltuh3713 while true, Singularity is *instant* while Wraith you do have to take a hot second to ring the bell twice. Small margin, but I feel like, at the rate you lose PWYF every second matters on the gaining side of things.
Gotta thank you for this gameplay. While I still don’t love the design of the killer, it’s power and abilities are definitely worth the price. I was losing hope after their last release, but I’m choosing to accept this as the chapter skull merchant should have been. Happy anniversary, y’all! 🎉
i think his perks and the singularity himself is really cool. I thought of a build for wraith with starstruck forced hesitation agitation and just a random slowdown and using the ghost soot and with silent or map wide bell and potentially get a grab into a surprise starstruck im just not sure if forced hesitation works off a grab
This build is more fun than I thought it was going to be since I was worried about gen slow down, but downing survivors so quickly felt nice and was a gen slow down of its own. The only issue I have with Singularity is the whole reapplying the slipstream onto survivors especially when it feels like they are popping them and my bipods so quickly with the emps. I mean I still love the killer but he definitely deserves the hard rating cause it can be overwhelming at times keeping of the bipods, slipstreaming, gens, and chasing. One of the biggest thing I want fix on him is the bipod placement. I can't tell you how many times I had trouble putting one on a tree and it not get placed even when it did show that I could place it there. It gets very annoying and wastes a lot of my time.
Hey otz, could you try knockout on this killer? You can down survivors from one side of the map and rapidly teleport to another whrre they are doing a gen or something, could be good with survailance or discordance.
2:44 Otz from what I’ve learned, there’s a set timer after an unhook happens and there’s a .1x multiplier on the people that are unhooking/being unhooked to be slipstreamed. Hope that explains the long timer!
The only thing I cant get behind is him essentially coming built in with free En-Fury when using his power. It just seems like a relatively big leap in terms of killer power creep. I understand that it doesn't last long and that it can be countered by just being better at loops/gaining distance. I just find it wild that they essentially gave him En-Fury from Wish.
I hope he doesn’t get nerfed, though I’m unsure of the counterplay behind the pallet breaking. I suppose it really is just a race to get the emps and survivors will have to save the emps for them the singularity tags them, forcing them to tag them 3 times instead of 2 and waste more time. As a killer main I think that’d be way more annoying and difficult to play against than them taking out my orbs that I can shoot quickly.
4:48 no it doesn't work like that, in fact it's not a sphere it's a cylinder so even if you put it on the highes spot in eyrie of crows, survivor can disarm it even from basement as long as it's inside of the radius
Honestly, this Killer is really powerful even if the Survivors are constantly clearing the slipstream debuff and disabling their biopods, because you can still SEE through them and from that monitor basically the entire map in most cases. Entire perk builds were made just to have LESS information than Singularity gets from his basic mechanic.
at first i thought the EMPs were too strong against him, but i've found that theyre fine against a killer who knows how to use his power especially in chase
@@stealywheelyautomobiley7565 there are too many variables to say they don't need a nerf. I personally think emps shouldn't charge on their own to instantly get picked up. I've played and watched many people emps seem weak in some cases then strong and other cases. I think they are trying to find a balance
honestly i haven't played dbd in like a few months but this killer is soooo aesthetically cool that i may come back. all those voice lines, that glitchy "it will a-a-all be over soon." CHILLS that's so groovy
Hi Otz! I just wanted to comment on your placement of the Soma Family Photo add on in the tier list for Singularitys add ons. I think you should reconsider the placement. It should be at the very top of the list. Sure it decreases your overclock by 50% but this is a good thing. How? Exhaustion perks and various other situations where the first teleport doesn't score you a successful hit. You can't use your power while overclocked. This allows survivors to use exhaustion perks to gain distance after you teleport and break LOS. With the reduced overclock duration you don't have to worry about this as much. On top of the 5% haste it feels like this add on is one of the strongest add ons in the game.
just a reminder that skull merchant was so bad that after she came to live, Otz didnt make a single youtube video playing as her, nor a single video or even clip playing against her, and only showed ONE video where he showcased skull merchant VS knight where SOMEONE ELSE played her, meanwhile here we are with the first Singularity video already, feels good man
A really fun perk I found with him is actually insidious you can make survivor believe you are on turret mode on a loop kinda like old spirit mind games

I am the most *Deadpan motherfu@#$%er in the galaxy*
I am finding it very difficult to get the hang of the Singularity but it feels earned. I think it's the most fantastic killer in a very long time
I usually have a strong start but once survivors get ahold of emps it just makes the singularity a basic killer
I like how some people are calling for Hux to be nerfed and other people are saying he's too weak and basically a powerless M1 killer.
16:04 “they shouldn’t nerf EMPs further” BHVR LITERALLY MASSIVELY NERFING EMPS IN THE NEXT UPDATE LMAOOO
You know the build is good when Otz actually chooses Noed
I've noticed that the undetectable you gain while looking through pods really throws people off sometimes. I imagine it could actually be used in certain loops to get free hits. You're on one side of the loop and the pod is on the other so you know where the survivors are going yet they're unsure where you are
Definitely gotten at least one shack hit from this alone, I love it so much
Oh ya hide near a generator they’re trying to work on while going to the cameras you’ll often catch them off guard
Glad to know you see his potential, the subbreddit is filled with people complaining he is super weak and his power is useless
Well you see, Survivors don't immediately die when the killer looks at them so he's weak /s
Seriously tho, I've been trying to explain that calling for emp nerfs after 4 days isn't good for balance. That's a knee jerk reaction. He's already really good, nerfing emps is just gonna make him S tier until getting nerfed into the ground
1:53 love how your crosshair wasn’t nowhere near the survivor but it just locks on for you
Thank you for letting me watch all your videos early, before they go live on youtube. I feel like since I'm your favorite, others might be jealous.
That first game was rough, props to those survivors for trying their best
I kid you not, he turned himself into a bio-pod, funnest thing I’ve seen
We all know Otz is the true singularity
I am really enjoying the new killer. I’m glad the emps deny his patrol aspects and encourages an aggressive chase style. I am excited to see the potential of this guy
I Hate it when i play as this killer i just think wow blight would be funner easyer and less taxing
This guy can come up with 50 possible outcomes for running one perk on a killer that came out 2 days ago
Dead by daylight with the insane killer concepts
This guy is such a big brain required killer. It can really feel like a chess match with survivors, just like hag and trapper. He is a fine addition to the much under loved category of 'set up' killer. And he can really use several unorthodox builds, like I enjoy Trail of Torment and Dragons Grip. You don't get to use those perks often 😂
ive had a blast both playing as and against this killer so far, and will for sure try Starstruck on him next time
The bio pods are basically cameras, so it is semi-FNAF, but the monster is watching the Survivors.
im glad bhvr is trying out new killer archtypes while not the most liked killer skullmerchant seemed to have the intentions of being designed as a heavy information archtype/playstyle and singularity just takes that and makes it fun so i like it
A friend and I found that if you want to use the blindness effect add on with Singularity it's better to place the pods closer to the ground. Easier to see them, but provides a bigger radius.
Up high is better for scouting survivors.
Singularity is a hard but fun killer, you need fast hands, good positioning in your traps and idk if its good but looks like hes good tunneling too
When I play killer I try my best not too tunnel
@@HuntedxPilotcool?
Not good at tunneling at all really. Hooking removes slipstrram and they can't be re-tagged right off the hook

Yes Otz, I do feel like this killer is soup! 6:25
I truly don't understand why Play With Your Food doesn't show up when you search UwU.
BHVR dropped the ball there.
Singularity displays puppies on peoples faces for his mori? Best killer ever.
"Hello friends this is Otz, in accordance with the standards of the Codex Astartes."
7:30
Censoring the mori with animals has my crying😭😭
Personally I think Play With Your Food is pretty good on this killer as well. Nobody else has an unpromped "leave chase" button without consequences (other then the obvious distance theyll gain), Ive gotten PWYF stacks while chasing the obsession just because I swapped over to cams for a bit
Ooo I might try this, I'm currently struggling a tiny bit because the survivors are still oppressive af with the EMP's at the moment, so I'm trying to find a good build that benefits me when my power is shut down so I'm not hindered all game.
sounds very good on this killer, but another who can easily get pwyf stacks is wraith by just cloaking mid-chase, automatically making you lose chase
8:47 this is how every new killer should feel like
i think his perks and the singularity himself is really cool. I thought of a build for wraith with starstruck forced hesitation agitation and just a random slowdown and using the ghost soot and with silent or map wide bell and potentially get a grab into a surprise starstruck im just not sure if forced hesitation works off a grab
It works on any downing.
That new UwU perk is crazy slept on, it's like people don't even know about it
That was the cutest mori of all time.
wow I never thought about the search bar bringing some little jokes when explaining builds haha
I bought this killer day 1. The concept, the gameplay. It's just by far the best for me
This build is more fun than I thought it was going to be since I was worried about gen slow down, but downing survivors so quickly felt nice and was a gen slow down of its own.
Wait it's a timer? I think it's a proximity radius, actually!
@@notOtzdarva I tried pods that were about 10 meters away and they still had the .1x
But this is still worth double and triple checking
he actually soo funn, the cameras is what i wanted sm too be but find myself in the cam too much😊
This build sounds great just because avoids "made for this", from Gabriel. That haste effect is insane...
0:29 when you hok a survivor?
I hope he doesn’t get nerfed, though I’m unsure of the counterplay behind the pallet breaking. I suppose it really is just a race to get the emps and survivors will have to save the emps for them the singularity tags them, forcing them to tag them 3 times instead of 2 and waste more time. As a killer main I think that’d be way more annoying and difficult to play against than them taking out my orbs that I can shoot quickly.
4:48 no it doesn't work like that, in fact it's not a sphere it's a cylinder so even if you put it on the highes spot in eyrie of crows, survivor can disarm it even from basement as long as it's inside of the radius
between this and Coconut's slug build, Singularity will be just fine, BHVR will never nerf him *stress intensifies*
Damn, I like how Otz telling that this killer is too strong and probably would be nerfed, but developers actually buffed him)
Otz using no end made me feel better myself about running it on trapper 😂
Noed makes a ton of sense on Trapper anyway. Playing him guarantees losing gens unless you're playing as Machete man
Everyone yesterday: this killer sucks what a fail chapter!
Everyone after Otz says different: Im so glad this chapter is AMAZING! Well done bhvr!
i would say this is a fun killer to play as and against from personal experience. he is pretty rewarding.
Think the devs said they are nerfing them again
@@bootychief3484 i dont know if emps really need nerfed especially when being chased with slipstream active you're guaranteed to go down
@@stealywheelyautomobiley7565 there are too many variables to say they don't need a nerf. I personally think emps shouldn't charge on their own to instantly get picked up.
I've played and watched many people emps seem weak in some cases then strong and other cases. I think they are trying to find a balance
I love how in the search bar in the beginning of the video says “UwU” lmao
honestly i haven't played dbd in like a few months but this killer is soooo aesthetically cool that i may come back. all those voice lines, that glitchy "it will a-a-all be over soon." CHILLS that's so groovy
7:28 Otz hates 1st Amendment
8:49 i never seen otz so happy.
I'm glad bhvr are focusing more on horror centric killers
"hello friends this is otz, at least it says so in the bible"
This purple slug is super fun and interesting! A really good killer!
Defo agree with wreckers yard being the best map for this killer, those trees do wonders 😂
just a reminder that skull merchant was so bad that after she came to live, Otz didnt make a single youtube video playing as her, nor a single video or even clip playing against her, and only showed ONE video where he showcased skull merchant VS knight where SOMEONE ELSE played her, meanwhile here we are with the first Singularity video already, feels good man
A really fun perk I found with him is actually insidious you can make survivor believe you are on turret mode on a loop kinda like old spirit mind games
