Oh yeah I do know you can "pogo parry" the tripple slash! I just thought it's a common knowledge and one of two normal ways to deal with that attack (the other one is to just shade dash through him). Since it's a pogo I don't really consider it a parry myself, even if it makes the parry sound :D But I see where you're coming from!
The thing with watcher knights makes it seem like every attack has parry properties, like how big the window is and how many i-frames it gives you. The attack from watcher knights probably doesn't give you many i-frames at all.
Indeed. Same story with the fact not every attack can be "perfect parried". Seems like every attack is it's own special instance with it's own individual properties. That's why this topic is so interesting!
Yup! Though it can cause some problems too haha. And not all parries are made equal. With how the parries are made I guess most people just stumble into an accidental parry from time to time and don't delve deeper into the topic. It feels so good to get better at parries though ;)
@KripsuPL well similar to Sekiro Parry timing. But in Hollow Knight's case, striking at the moment your enemy attacks at you. But also as yo7 said not all enemy attacks are Parriable
@KripsuPL Well I just thought since adding a heavy blow to the impact of the nail strike, then the parry will be more effective since you're striking with a heavy blow in the moment the attack comes. In simple words, a heavy sword clashes with normal attacks.
@@SmallOneEyedKing Hahaha I love that so much, I wish it actually was like that in the game. Heavy blow only increases the knockback of your attacks, so it's considered really useless in pretty much every scenario. I wish your idea was how the charm behaves in the game!
@KripsuPL I use heavy blows in cases where acid and spikes are located. I could easily knock them back and instantly fell to their death. I also use heavy blow to stagger bosses sometimes.
@@SmallOneEyedKing Well, heavy blow can have a use sometimes I suppose, but versus bosses it seems to be mostly useless. It only decreases the hits required for a stagger by 1, which I can only see being somewhat useful against enemies like hornet or broken vessel who stagger often

You can parry the pure vessel attack by kind of parry pogoing onto him twice. Super satisfying

@@SmallOneEyedKing Well Sekiro is my all time favourite game so I can see that!
Can you add heavy blow to your parries?
Haha I mean sure, but why would you want to do that? It doesn't help you in any way :D
if you mean as an added challenge then sure I guess :p
