They don't respawn upon exiting a room, so just clear the route, go back to the flower, and deliver it without worrying about a single aspid. Hoppers don't though.

@Hlebuw3k pretty sure your bench is set to right outside flower quest when you begin it. They use it in 112 speedruns to go back to ze'mer as quickly as possible
My jaw dropped when I saw the ammonites flying/swimming in the background of the Ancient Aspid fight. The mod dev didn’t have to go so incredibly hard on the environment, the arena, and the music. But that’s what makes it feel like it fits perfectly in the world of Hollow Knight!

Note how most enemies that shoot infection projectiles shoot the same blob projectile for example. The goop of Nosk is identical to some of the lingering acid attacks of other enemies. And so on and so forth.
That's literally my only gripe with any of these battles. I think 5 hits would more than suffice for the 3rd phase of the fight. Doable in 2 or 3 cycles.
At first when i saw Nightmare and Void, I thought "Aw thats kinda lane, they just combined the bosses", but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the mod maker seemed to make the bosses flow with each other
i actually really liked the combined bosses, especially compared to super hard modes. at worst, they don't have much synergy but the novalty of fighting 2 bosses would always be cool BUT AT BEST! it can be such a fun and interesting fight like what we saw. Edit: Might be biased since they're my 2 favorite fights in the game.

Out of my mind!" while the rest seem composed. And especially the music. It almost made me feel bad for the Soul Sovereign. And don't get me started on "True Focus casts aside even the body." He went so far to achieve his goals... Even just for a minute.

It's like they said "okay, let's make Any Radiance *slightly* easier," but did so less by lowering the difficulty of the direct attacks, and more by lowering the percentage of difficult mechanics that are intentionally unfair.
Ancient Aspid looks so good that it actually looks out of place in the game. Like it looks better, visually, than any other enemy. Like having a minecraft texture pack that is normally 16x16 but the wither is 32x32
Immortal Light is such a cool and creative modded abs rad! So many modded versions exist for that boss, i didnt expect to see a really unique new take on it! My favorite part is the climb phase for sure, truly a fantastic idea for it.
I'm getting really close to beating Absolute Radiance on Radiant, died in the climb 3 times so far. Seeing the swords rain down scared me, but then having to pogo up them with lasers... how in the world can people do this??

Shoutout to all the tremendous work (of different varieties) that went into these different bosses. There's a huge variety of inventiveness and refinement on display. My biggest wish is that they hadn't used the song Pure Vessel (from Path of Pain/THK fight) for Soul Sovereign because that fight didn't feel tragic to me so the song felt out of place but the mechanics in that were still really unique and interesting. Thanks for showing these off!
Soul Sovereign was literally trying not to die & trying to fend off his attacker with every last soul he could muster. A desperate act from a being that didn't want to die. Pretty tragic & sad.
That Immortal Light boss is probably my favorite modded AbsRad I’ve seen, all the attacks feel like more difficult versions of vanilla without just being unreactable, focusing a lot more on specific movement and pinpoint precision rather than just requiring you to spam D-Dark for literally every move like some mods feel like. 10/10, would hate to do that in Radiant mode.
Feel like some respect needs to be given to Samihamer1 for managing to combine Pure Vessel and NKG into a fight that looks like two bosses actually meant to be part of the same boss fight. Like, the other stuff is all cool, but it is at least partially just a matter of getting new assets and then remixing a few mechanics from other bosses, while the Nightmare & Void fight had to rebalance the difficulty of two whole bosses, and sync their attack patterns together in a way that would make them seem even mildly fair to fight that way. That requires a genuinely impressive degree of skill at balancing boss fights, since some game studios can't even work those things out that well. Either that or Fire only showed a run where they synced up, but I am choosing to assume that this is their default state because it would feel weird to waste time waiting for a near perfect synchronization if that wasn't the default state.
I like to lore the aspect behind the soul sovereignty that they cast away their physical form to become an intangible being of pure soul essence. However, as a fight, it is bad. Not being hit the enemy and being forced to fight for that long regardless of what you do.
The music for Ancient Aspid is one of the most hype and FUN video game boss themes I've ever heard. It feels as fun as my favourite theme from HK - Hive Knight's - except more dynamic and dramatic. Whoever composed this, you should be proud of yourself, it's an incredible work. I'll be listening to this one in the future on its own. Put it on Spotify! : )

Nightmare and void made me realize how badly I yearn for the godskin duo equivalent in silksong. Sure we got the mantis lords, but they all do the same attacks, a fight with two enemies that do different things would be so cool as a dev product

In the final phase of aspid, it would use the laser beam and I literally could not avoid it (even with D-dark for some reason). Seer was using more than 1 attack at the same time for me but I also didn't realize you could just pogo her, I wanted an honest fight. Unfortunately, I don't the footage for those :( All the others were really fun and challenging imo. Immortal light was the most fun (and easier than biblically accurate radiance imo). Either way, great mods and the people working on theme are very talented. Well done and to fireborn as well
The ancient aspid is the most creative one here tbh it uses original sprites(unlike 3) new and unique attacks, while having interesting difficult attacks andbits own sprites backround and stages
The Ancient Aspid is like a Primal Aspid and The Radiance mashed together, Nightmare and Void is just The Knight and The Grimmchild grown up and super strong, Seer is mostly unique but for some reason doesn’t sound like Seer at all and has Hornet’s battle theme, Soul Sovereign is like a stronger Soul Tyrant but with a third phase that lasts waaaay too long, and if Absolute Radiance was Randiance turned up to 11 then Immortal Light is Absolute Radiance cranked up to 11,111.
These are all so good! I can't help but wonder if Nightmare and Void were inspired by your own trial video from awhile back that had NMG and Pure Vessel as the final boss. I distinctly remember someone in the comments saying that the two worked well together, like a grown up Ghost and Grimmchild. Which leads me to wanting a sprite change for the Nightmare and Void fight to make them look more like Ghost and Grimmchild (though I'm not sure what they would do to make Grimm look more like his kid). Either way, these bosses are amazing!
Horrible challenge idea for the week before Silksong releases: 560% speedrun. 112%, getting one ending, deleting the save, 112%, another ending, deleting the save, and repeat until you get all 5 endings.
I love that hollow knight mod bosses are just existing bosses with attacks that fill the screen 90% of the time. I honestly wonder if the people who make them are the same people who make sans fan games
I love how Soul Sovereign actually has a phase where he turns into pure soul as implied in the game text. However, even knowing that his whole thing is his boss fight going on for longer than usual I have to admit that the third phase is a bit excessive lasting longer than most vanilla bosses.
While all these bosses do look like they've been modded in, the exception imo is Ancient Aspid, which looks like it's from an actual sequel to Hollow Knight. Its animations are so fluid!
When it got to the Immortal Light fight, my jaw was on the floor for the first half, and my eyes wide open the whole time. At one point, i actually thought, "so this is the power of a speedrunner"
@@luolewis2376 His pure focus idea succeeded, he seemed to cast off the power of the Radiance…. Or did he? Even then, all of his soul attacks are tainted orange. Even a pure focus couldn’t stop you from dreaming of something that will forever whisper in your ear. He still failed. All those bugs in the Soul Sanctum died for nothing but an extra long boss fight.
The seer had a great boss fight. I live the way the devs gave her light and dream attacks tying in to the moth tribes connections with both dream power and the radiance
I love the mechanics and unique attack patterns of these bosses! The only thing that felt a bit off was the lack of original spritework (I think even a change of color palette would feel better), or soundtracks. I think for the nightmare and void fight, a "pure" cover of Grimm's theme would be quite fitting! (Pure as in the same "voice" or "instruments" used in the pure vessel soundtrack or path of pain etc)
Additionally, a matching color scheme for both Grimm and the knight would do nicely, perhaps a focus on white, with red accents (particularly in the eyes, as is characteristic of Grimm and his troupe)
doing sprites and soundtracks are incredibly difficult and entirely independent of coding skill. so it is nice when a mod has them, but its far too much to expect from what is typically one or two people. a player skin for this game can take well over 100 hours to make, for context

Man, the Seer is really well made giving audio cues for each of their attacks. The only thing that seems off is the wave whenever she lands. There's no indication of it
If I had to rate these in a top 5 5. Soul Sovereign. Way too long and tedious and while I'm sure the survival bullet hell sections are cool it seems to get annoying. 4. Immortal Light. What if Radiance but more difficult. Not the most unique but not bad 3. Nightmare & Void. Unique ways the moves go with each other and how the bosses are in sync makes it a lot less annoying looking than most bosses with multiple enemies. 2. The Seer. Looks rather easy, but it's unique with a completely new character design and attack designs. 1. Ancient Aspid. Takes the parkour sections in Radiance and turns them up to 11 while being a boss fight that doesn't look too difficult or annoying, I could see myself purposefully dying to this boss at the end so I could keep having fun fighting it.
Never expected to see soul master/tyrant get some attention but I’m equally impressed and terrified by what I saw, as well aswhat the community can do while we wait for silksong.
For soul sovereign i think something cool is an animation of the follies/mistakes turning into Soul Twisters or Warriors. The description of both (follies/mistakes) says they are awaiting their brothers to reshape them a new body

I love how its like proper dual battle and not like just having Nightmare Grimm and Pure Vessel independent of each other.
Ancient Aspid and the Nightmare-Void duo are EASILY my favorite ones here. THEY'RE FIGHTS ARE SO COOL and look very fun to play!
I love how Soul Sovereign actually has a phase where he turns into pure soul as implied in the game text. However, even knowing that his whole thing is his boss fight going on for longer than usual I have to admit that the third phase is a bit excessive lasting longer than most vanilla bosses.
the immortal light's time motifs with the ticking and the circular movements is actually so so cool

Soul Sovereign is DEFINENTLY my favorite. Looks like something that could actually be in the base game. Also that fake out when he "dies" is SO COOL!
I kinda wish fireborn would speak in more of his videos. His voice is soothing and helps with insomnia
While all these bosses do look like they've been modded in, the exception imo is Ancient Aspid, which looks like it's from an actual sequel to Hollow Knight.
Its animations are so fluid!
When it got to the Immortal Light fight, my jaw was on the floor for the first half, and my eyes wide open the whole time. At one point, i actually thought, "so this is the power of a speedrunner"

@@luolewis2376 His pure focus idea succeeded, he seemed to cast off the power of the Radiance…. Or did he? Even then, all of his soul attacks are tainted orange. Even a pure focus couldn’t stop you from dreaming of something that will forever whisper in your ear. He still failed. All those bugs in the Soul Sanctum died for nothing but an extra long boss fight.

Ngl soul sovereign looks mega sick. Love it. The end phase was a little tedious feeling but before that it was pretty nice and fast paced
The seer had a great boss fight. I live the way the devs gave her light and dream attacks tying in to the moth tribes connections with both dream power and the radiance
I love the mechanics and unique attack patterns of these bosses! The only thing that felt a bit off was the lack of original spritework (I think even a change of color palette would feel better), or soundtracks. I think for the nightmare and void fight, a "pure" cover of Grimm's theme would be quite fitting! (Pure as in the same "voice" or "instruments" used in the pure vessel soundtrack or path of pain etc)
Additionally, a matching color scheme for both Grimm and the knight would do nicely, perhaps a focus on white, with red accents (particularly in the eyes, as is characteristic of Grimm and his troupe)
doing sprites and soundtracks are incredibly difficult and entirely independent of coding skill. so it is nice when a mod has them, but its far too much to expect from what is typically one or two people. a player skin for this game can take well over 100 hours to make, for context
@@erierierierierie yeah of course! I wasn't suggesting a single developer working on the mod alone should do it themself. Rather, perhaps seeing if anyone would be willing to take it on! For instance, I myself am a digital illustrator, and have had experience making custom sprites!
The first boss is Absolute Radiance if they actually were a powerfull being.
Man, the Seer is really well made giving audio cues for each of their attacks. The only thing that seems off is the wave whenever she lands. There's no indication of it

That has to be the coolest radiance mod I've ever seen
If I had to rate these in a top 5
5. Soul Sovereign. Way too long and tedious and while I'm sure the survival bullet hell sections are cool it seems to get annoying.
4. Immortal Light. What if Radiance but more difficult. Not the most unique but not bad
3. Nightmare & Void. Unique ways the moves go with each other and how the bosses are in sync makes it a lot less annoying looking than most bosses with multiple enemies.
2. The Seer. Looks rather easy, but it's unique with a completely new character design and attack designs.
1. Ancient Aspid. Takes the parkour sections in Radiance and turns them up to 11 while being a boss fight that doesn't look too difficult or annoying, I could see myself purposefully dying to this boss at the end so I could keep having fun fighting it.
Never expected to see soul master/tyrant get some attention but I’m equally impressed and terrified by what I saw, as well aswhat the community can do while we wait for silksong.

For soul sovereign i think something cool is an animation of the follies/mistakes turning into Soul Twisters or Warriors. The description of both (follies/mistakes) says they are awaiting their brothers to reshape them a new body
My jaw dropped at Immortal Light and most of these fights are actually broken that I have no idea how he won.
Ngl, the climb phase of Inmortal Light is so cool with having to pogo the swords.
But oh my goodness so much stuff on the screen.
