I've been trying to to find out if the Avata can strafe left to right and also go backwards, but I believe this video just showed me that it can. Is that correct?
@@chriswilliams2129 same, plus the prop crash buffers & battery strap, can’t wait for full breakdown video, delivery due on a Friday, with 5 batteries!!!!
I work in animation and this reminds me of creating an animation of a 3d modeled house where you can move the camera to any position/angle that you want and that you would never be able to achieve with a human operating a camera via holding/walking with it…I guess we can get to those areas now. Really impressive Ken. That shot from the bedroom through the window to the patio was great.
Same here. 3D animation for the last 20 years. I think there are also tools now that will 3D scan the entire house interior so you could actually make a virtual 3D fly-thru without a drone.
This was slick, the intro flying into the front door, room to room, back outside again, through the Apex vehicle. You are such an asset to Realtors, real estate industry. I've seen so many bad videos. Take my money, you're hired!
I think this is the first FPV I have watched that didn't make me feel motion sickness. Nice steady viewing with out all the crazy spinning aerobatics, You done really well.
Awesome quick video. When you do a break down can you go over settings and possibly the Avata vs the mini 2/3 vs other types. It seems like this is a style of shooting that's becoming hugely popular but not everyone can do it... yet. Keep up the great work.
As a professional real estate content creator myself, this is absolutely awesome. As an inexperienced fpv pilot, do you think this can be done with the motion controller and some practice?
I have the avata myself. It’s possible to do it with the motion controller from my experience but definitely gonna take a lot of practice with it since it moves according to how your hand moves which is not a normal way to control things, With a regular controller you just have so much more control with it which is why many people recommend that way more than motion controller
@@shanedutoit9101 I'm fairly certain he did this with the regular controller BUT NOT manual mode, he had it in normal like a Mavic style drone. it allowed for very stable height keeping and is ideal for real estate stuff like this, I don't think you necessarily need to think you have to fly it manually which yes, is very difficult in particular flying slowly and keeping height stable. this wasn't manual mode.
@@canyonblue737-8 thanks for the reply David and thats a relief because I have tried a simulator with a flight controller and found it nearly impossible in acro mode. I'm not into fpv for the sake of it but the benefits are obvious for the real estate industry so DJI are ticking that box for people like me. If I don't get on with the motion controller I will get the regular fpv controller. I am a qualified drone pilot and own a mavic so should translate quite well🙏 Thanks again.
I have the Motion Controller but it does not do Orbits. You'll want the kind of control you get from the standard controller to complete your full flight options.
Ken, well done man and for me it shows that you made the right decision to dedicate yourself to this vocation. Very professional from the planning of the shot, the skill flying the drone, and the editing work to create the video. I am sure your clients must be very happy. I see you listed the flight time as over 6 minutes and I would think it would mean that with this little drone with its good battery life and transmission, makes shooting video such as this easier because you wouldn't have to rush or worry about disconnects. Can't wait to see what you do in the future.
So assume you are speed ramping this in post at the points where it speeds up? And it would be great if you talked us through how you filmed this step by step going over the settings you used, and how you deal with the change in lighting from going outside to inside etc.
For this exact purpose this is an amazing tool in the kit! Dobo you made this look flawless good job 👏🏼 if the client doesn’t want these type of shot then they are crazy.
That's a really cool way to showcase my house. I've always thought why no one came up with this idea other than the usual boring one dimensional photos and boring "virtual" options realtors provide.
Dobo!!! 👊🏽Thanks for sharing! There's a lot to learn from this one! Question: Did you was using the dji fpv rc? if so.... the throtle stick tension was loosed or tighten??? Noting you're flying like 3 fts from the floor... is that the high that you recommend for Real Estate (indoors)?
Great video! Do you film with auto settings on the camera, or manual? I mostly ask this because I think it would be hard to shoot in manual, since it is more light outside, and darker on the inside. And it seems like there is no easy way to change the exposure manually while flying, right?
I'm curious about this too - Didn't seem like there were too drastic, on the fly, exposure changes when transitioning between the inside and outside. Sometimes it's very distracting in these videos, but it didn't happen here . . .
Awesome Ken, thank you, I ordered mine yesterday because of your review, I do real estate videos here in Miami, can you show how to do the editing and settings, keep it up you should have a million subscribers!!!!
loving the content 👌 great job. you should do a real estste comparison btw outside and inside shots you can get from the avata, skydio 2 plus, gimbal cell phone, gimbal dslr/mirrorless, 360 cam set up(insta360/thetaz1) and mavic 3. for people working in real estate seriously right now these questions are mind f... lol you get my point
NAILED IT: empty nest exploration; no audience outside a spotter for 0.5 city blocks, or hand out ear plugs. But awesome demonstration and inspiration for practical Avata world use. Exactly what you scolded Philly Drone (Mikey) over with his maiden voyeur today.
Lol that shrieking sounds familiar. I just got mine and tried to fly in the house. Lost signal, Crashed twice. Glad it can take a beating. I’d go outside but it’s 110°F in the shade here in the high desert.
It would be awesome if you created a video with your settings for camera and also the expo settings you're using on the new Avata. I watch ALL your videos.
You could literally get in and out with video in less than 30 minutes with this thing! It may not be suitable for every situation, but when time is money, this can help you get through a property quickly.
Always wanted to do this for my real estate videos. Now I can without spending a bunch of time building an FPV and learning to fly manual! Could you share how much your company charges for a video like this?
Dammit Ken, I was trying to avoid FPV, being a staunch camera drone user but seeing this, it's definitely a tool to utilize professionally & probably fun to use on weekends too.
I've learned a great deal from your videos, and for this one I did see that you use standard color profile. I just started using that Avata for interior videos. Do you think that switching to D-Cinelike would make a difference in lower light conditions?
Hey man, awesome footage! Question, do you use the default Gyroflow setting? Why didn't it look like a typical post-gyroflow stabilized video? i.e. no distortion at the sides.
How do you like flying the Avata indoors so far? I watched another of your videos where you say it isn’t wise to fly FPV indoors. I also have an avata in my lineup for real estate work, but the last couple of house I have made I got GPS signal loss and the drone just goes on crazy, crashed it a couple of times as well… anyway, thanks for the feed! Great content!
Great Video!! Thanks for sharing. What controller are you using? I see the Avata comes bundled with the Motion controller, but I would imagine the regular Remote controller would be better for indoor flying?
I think these kinda of shots can be done with a mavic too right, awesome video btw! Way smoother shots than a self built cinewhoop. I feel like the self built FPV drone tours are rather distracting because of the drone like movement but the Avata on normal mode makes you forget that it’s a drone shot and let’s viewers focus on actually viewing the house
Excellent video. Very nice. I have produced music and industrial videos in the past. Now, getting back into it nearly 20 years later, I am curious as to how you price the final cut to a RE client for a job just like this. With the editing alone I would've wanted well above 1k in the past. I'm fairly sure that those kinds of fees won't fly in this day and age. What are we looking at in terms of dollars for the final cut here? Thanks, and again, beautiful job.
So the question is, when you're in the house, was the GPS still connected or were you flying manually? Aside from entering the house from the outside(front door), I bet you could have transitioned(video edit)to using your camera on a steadicam and be out of there in five minutes. FYI...you do real nice work.
