1967-1970 Cadillac Eldorado, to me, one of the most Beautiful cars ever made. My Ex-father in law had one in beige with cigar brown leather interior. I had a 61’ Corvette at that time but Loved to drive the Caddy!!!
There’s nothing like an old Cadillac. I was born in March 1956, my dad drove mom and me home from the hospital in a new ‘56 Caddy. Dad had Caddies throughout his life. I’ve owned Coupé de Villes, and my last Caddy was a triple black 1985 El Dorado. Best looking Caddy El Dorado ever.

@@richardswann5300How cool to hear you owned a first generation Seville! Such a classy car. The 76 Seville was perfectly proportioned and just looked right, despite being a bit smaller than other Cadillacs of the day. My mafia uncle had a first gen Seville for a while. Wow did he buy a lot of Cadillacs.
@@richardswann5300you could tell me if a 1976 SEVILLE is the same as a 1980 Seville.! In 1980, ( I live a bit outside London), decided to go to a discotheque in London on a Saturday night. But they were PACKED. So somebody suggested we go to the famous , classy RITZ hotel/ restaurant/ bar, "Just for a drink", instead. At their prices of course, it WAS just fir a drink. But well worth eaking out the drinks, because there was hardly anyone IN their bar. The service was wonderful. We put our coats on empty seats, but a member of staff insisted on taking them, and hanging them up for us, and welcomed us like friends! And no pressure to buy drinks unless we asked for them. Back in the late 70's I talked my WWII US Army Vet Dad into buying a slightly used 1976 Cadillac Coupe DeVille with the 500 cubic inch ( 8.2 liter ) V8/Turbo Hydromatic 3 speed automatic. I would love to have one again today.
A beautiful car. Some car are just not lucky in life Some owners are so careless and so lazy and pigs for their things in life. It's just crazy seeing a car with a class 3 Hitch on it. People used to pull their mobile homes with cars now with their trucks or SUVs with their car. My dad used to tow around a utility trailer with his 77 Ford LTD.
My 77 coupe deville came with a hitch because it has the tow package with drums in the rear and discs up front I believe. I cut it off cuz it was pretty rusted through but id love to see it tow one day 😂
You are so very fortunate! Awesome find! the year i want is a 67 this ones a 68. 67 had solid pieces of cast iron up front instead of turn signals and other minor differences. 68 was the only year for real wood interior trim though so theres that!
Clay bar before any buffing. Always. I would be extra thorough with the power washer first, then power washer with soap/foam feature, then regular power wash again. Then thorough handwashing, clay bar, and then buff. If you did what you did here with a black painted car, you’d get a ton of swirl marks. Black shows everything. Black cars will teach you the hard way the proper way to do it.
That came out ridiculously better than you'd think. Chrome looks mint, the paint is cherry. Looks like there's some red pinstripes on it. I want that car.
Info Add On. Around this time period a large local Business in Southgate mi ! Named Custom Craft ! Installed thicker Vinyl roofs with custom chrome trim and the car was then called the the Eldorado Baritz. They also installed allot of custom sun roofs in these cars. I actually worked here for about a year. The good ole days.
I would love to own a 1970 Elddorado, they are the ones with the 400(!) Horsepower 8.2 litter that's 500 cubic inch engines! They were continually detuned after that year.
Back when a Caddy was instantly recognizable on the road. Beautiful car!
They still are? The v shaped grill and the tail lights etc
