    When I was a kid working at my Dads shop I worked on a bunch of those Quad 4 engines.
    They had the water pump drive off the timing chain and was a pain to change out.
    They had all kinds of head gasket issues as well.

    I grew up with these cars all around me used to detail a lot of cars back in the nineties and I've never seen a grand prix with a 4-cylinder that's the Quad 4 they have about 150 horsepower. There was an even slower version it was called the the quad o h c it was a single overhead cam version with a two valve/cyl cylinder head and had about 120 horsepower. I've been reading online and it says that the double overhead cam version has 180 horsepower well that's true but that's only in the high output version that was put into the Beretta GTZ and certain Cutlass calais. The regular Quad 4 the dohc version ranged from 150 to 210 depending on what chassis was put into. For 1990 that's impressive power for a 4 cylinder. There are really harsh really loud they pulled pretty good they're decent power not the Pinnacle by any means.

    • @Teemu_1366

      Imported, because you cant sell new cars in EU with MPH or farenheit meters

    • @davidkane4300
      @davidkane4300 27 дней назад +5

      The Euro spec ones are a bit different... I saw some of this body style in Switzerland and they had those tiny quad sealed beam headlights seen in later sedans (and late 80s Chevy trucks). This one is definitely US spec since it has a big MPH speedometer. Euro spec would be like Canada with big Km/h.
