Summer of '86, hanging out at the mall, running around our neighborhood on our bikes. Going to the movies, just spending time outdoors and enjoying the sunshine. As Summer turned into fall, and the air pulled a chilly turn around our suntans, School would pull us into academia, but.. for that one sacred second, you see this angel, that one person in the hallway between classes, heading to the buses at the end of the school day... and you want to learn the meaning of this song SO much, that it hurts. Your romantic mind and innocence think that you have to be hurt in love to be in love, but the exact opposite. Love should set you free, and let you be as strong in a relationship, as you were before it.

This tune has been playing in my head since yesterday, I had to google part of the lyrics I knew it was Peter Cetera but I couldn’t find it. The search led me here … on my gosh! Slammed with memories of being 17 (1974). Our band played a lot of Chicago because of the horns - a great time within a bad time.

I’ve grown up listening to Chicago and other related bands as a proud child of the 80’s (now solidly in my mid 40’s) a vocalist myself, and thoroughly enjoy whenever I’m alone to belt their songs! But “Will You Still Love Me” is hands down one of my all time favorites! I am also completely in love with Jason Scheff! Oh if only I weren’t married… (him as well for that matter!😉😍). As l listened this song l just realize how happy days l lived during the eighties........... the fashion, the tv shows, the malls , the music, the music videos, the wrestling matches, me and my family.......... my dad and my stepmom........ everything was better back then.......... I wish I could live those awesome moments once again.......... Dear Lord grant me that wish............ will you?
Jason Scheff lived literally right down the street from me a few years ago. I met him and he gave me an autographed album (super nice guy). After I moved away I’ve grown to really love his songs with Chicago. I wish I realized it earlier so I could’ve let him know in person how great I think his songs are.
I haven't heard this song for decades simply because I didn't find it or didn't remember it and today it appeared in front of my eyes, I recall my teenage days and the emotions of the first love. Hi from Argentina.
I dedicate this song to all you married couple who are still very much in love after ten, twenty, thirty ( or event more) years of marriage. Let the wife listen to the wonderful lyrics guys, no need to say more.
In mid-1985, 23-year-old Jason Scheff joined the multi-platinum band Chicago, after Peter Cetera had departed the band to continue his solo career. His lead vocals were debuted on the 1986 single "25 or 6 to 4", a remake of their 1970 hit, then followed up with "Will You Still Love Me?"
in 89, dad wld pick me up for baseball with this playing. we had a falling out not long after and nvr made up. he died last yr. this whole album still makes me cry like a teenage girl.
I know you posted this quite a while ago but happen to run across it today. I was very blessed to have two fine men in my life. I will use my stepfather as an example because I just came back from a hunting trip. My stepfather loved the woods and he left me a portion of his hunting Farm. I spread his ashes at several of his favorite spots. I am now a grown man in my 60s but every year I spend some time hunting over his ashes and we have long talks. It's mainly me thanking him for being a great stepdad but sometimes I unload my problems there also. I'm suggesting that you find a spot a ballpark or some place that you spent time or even better someplace that he enjoyed spending time and have a conversation with him make sure you leave space for him to answer. I guarantee that your dad already knows how you feel but this might help you find out for yourself. if it doesn't work the first time keep going back or find another spot. Best wishes Simon

The production of this song was truly a work of art. It sounded so much like Chicago and Cetera that I found out 5 minutes ago it wasn’t Cetera singing. And I’m 40 years old. Been listening to Chicago my whole life.
I grew up in the 80's and it was by far the best era ever! We had the best music, you could understand it and it usually had a meaning and had nothing to do with drugs or gangs or shooting people! Chicago was one of my favorites, reminds me of my first love...........and heartache!
Songs back in the 80's & 90's were written with a purpose & message to send out to the listeners..The songs had a direction & knew what kind of story it wants to tell..it had body, it had soul & heart..it was more sincere.. these days, it's like the songwriters have simply run out of ideas, so they mish mash a whole list of beat, with no thought at all for the listeners..and the lyrics are just not as poetic & beautifully written like before..so sad..!
"Will You Still Love Me?" is a song written by David Foster, Tom Keane and Richard Baskin for the group Chicago and recorded for their album Chicago 18 (1986). The song was Chicago's first top ten hit following the departure of Peter Cetera, and it featured new singer and bassist Jason Scheff on lead vocals.

Jason Scheff lived literally right down the street from me a few years ago. I met him and he gave me an autographed album (super nice guy). After I moved away I’ve grown to really love his songs with Chicago. I wish I realized it earlier so I could’ve let him know in person how great I think his songs are.
Cool
Where did you live

Love songs of today don’t compare to old school love. Just sent this to my true love😘

The lucky ones

I gave sadness your comentary, Tour father RIP, in the glory of the lord.

My first husband's favorite band of all time until he passed in 2005.
The production of this song was truly a work of art. It sounded so much like Chicago and Cetera that I found out 5 minutes ago it wasn’t Cetera singing. And I’m 40 years old. Been listening to Chicago my whole life.
I hope you keep going another 40 yrs
bill's voice is powerful and great blend, since peter
Bill was only second to Peter during the David Foster ballad days. Amazing, soulful voice, and the closest thing to Terry Kath on the old stuff.

Hello 🤗 Anita, how are you doing
Sometimes miss the simplicity of music videos from this time - and it was one of the few times you got to actually see band members.
Goddamn I miss the 80s. Take me back.
*What love songs in 2000's can compete with this song! None.*

Hello Diane, how are you doing?
Gracias por compartir esta excelente canción.
Es mi tema favorito de Chicago, y eso que tengo una larga lista de temas favoritos.
Gracias 😊.
I grew up in the 80's and it was by far the best era ever! We had the best music, you could understand it and it usually had a meaning and had nothing to do with drugs or gangs or shooting people! Chicago was one of my favorites, reminds me of my first love...........and heartache!
I agree very much. No twerking and certain body parts hanging out. Just. Pure. Raw. Talent. That is timeless and crosses all ages and genres.
"Just say you love me for the rest of your life " amazing song💛
Hi 👋, how are you doing
Stop asking if we’re still here.. we never left

😂😂😂
Songs from the 80's were so pure and beautiful! Those lyrics still give me goosebumps, missing those years so much❤
Songs back in the 80's & 90's were written with a purpose & message to send out to the listeners..The songs had a direction & knew what kind of story it wants to tell..it had body, it had soul & heart..it was more sincere.. these days, it's like the songwriters have simply run out of ideas, so they mish mash a whole list of beat, with no thought at all for the listeners..and the lyrics are just not as poetic & beautifully written like before..so sad..!
