My Mom was a huge fan of Peter Cetera and Amy Grant. She loved this song and later when I was on a vacation in Florida this song popped up. I listened to it and it brought back so much nostalgia! The 80's were a hard time for my family but we had a little radio and this music helped us through....my eldest brother had the most awesome voice ever.... He would sing and we would all join in just to pass the hard times.... It made us stronger as a family.... We loved the music from the 80's
I had a lot of abuse in the mid 80s and listing to the 80s pop music during that time helped me. I had a GPX walkman hidden under my mattress and would listen to it when the house was quiet or no one was home.
80s the more innocent Era, people actually got out of the house and enjoyed things and things were way more simpler and affordable. No social media people talked to each other more, the world needs more of the 80s back today

As great as he was with Chicago when he went out on his own is how he really found his rightful place in music history. Nobody has a golden voice like him and noone ever will. Amy grant was such a devoted Christian singer/songwriter whom made her mainstream breakout with this gorgerous gem. Peter said in an interview the reason he chose Amy to sing The Next Time I fall with is because she was so beautiful and real. two excellent musical legends at the top of their proverbial game. Im so thankful i grew up in the 70-80's, those that didn't truly don't know just how great it was! I swear if there was a time machine i'd take my kids back to then and raise them! Not a day goes by that i don't think back on those times! I graduated in 1986, remember this song very well and was lucky enough to meet Amy Grant twice through the church i went to. She was really sweet in person as well!

His Chicago days were where it started. I read somewhere he started there as a drummer or percussionist, and his vocal ability was only discovered later. Unbelievable with such a voice. But he's not just all about balads. Chicago's music was often jazzy/funky. I'd recommend a less well known, but personal favorite track by the band, namely "Woman don't want to love me" to experience the other side..

Aside from being a huge Chicago frontman, he was the godfather of duets. Grant, Cher, Bernard - Cetera has been helping me perfect my candlelight mojo for many many years.
This brings me back to quite a different era in my life. I miss it, but my life is where God intended, and it's great. There will never be another decade like the 80s. Best time of my life. I was in my teens to very early 20s. I lived a 1/4 mile away from Six Flags in Arlington Texas with a season pass every year. I raced dirt bikes, learned how to play guitar, wore the parachute pants with concert t-shirts and had the time of my life. I can remember when this song came out in 86. Having the 80s music to listen to was just the icing on the cake! The music after the 80s, it started rolling down hill fast and in a bad way. Seem like it all got stupid. I would give everything I own to go back and enjoy those times I had back then again. Good times 😉👍

The 80's were a hard time for my family but we had a little radio and this music helped us through....my eldest brother had the most awesome voice ever.... He would sing and we would all join in just to pass the hard times.... It made us stronger as a family.... We loved the music from the 80's
I had a lot of abuse in the mid 80s and listing to the 80s pop music during that time helped me. I had a GPX walkman hidden under my mattress and would listen to it when the house was quiet or no one was home.

One of the greatest power ballards and musical duets in the history of modern pop/rock music. grew up listening to both peter cetera and Amy grant whose voices will never be duplicated and out classed. everything about this song was so sophsiticated and hauntingly beautiful!! As a fellow virgo love the way peter Cetera writes and sings his most beautiful songs. As great as he was with Chicago when he went out on his own is how he really found his rightful place in music history. Nobody has a golden voice like him and noone ever will. Amy grant was such a devoted Christian singer/songwriter whom made her mainstream breakout with this gorgerous gem. Peter said in an interview the reason he chose Amy to sing The Next Time I fall with is because she was so beautiful and real. two excellent musical legends at the top of their proverbial game. God how i miss the 1980s and 1990s when music was so real and heartwarming. May the real music of our lives burn on forever.
To have the talent & ability to write something this beautiful that has touched so many people so deeply for so many years is something that most of us can only dream of. RIP Bobby Caldwell.

Im so thankful i grew up in the 70-80's, those that didn't truly don't know just how great it was! I swear if there was a time machine i'd take my kids back to then and raise them! Not a day goes by that i don't think back on those times! I graduated in 1986, remember this song very well and was lucky enough to meet Amy Grant twice through the church i went to. She was really sweet in person as well!

His Chicago days were where it started. I read somewhere he started there as a drummer or percussionist, and his vocal ability was only discovered later. Unbelievable with such a voice. But he's not just all about balads. Chicago's music was often jazzy/funky. I'd recommend a less well known, but personal favorite track by the band, namely "Woman don't want to love me" to experience the other side..
That kind of music that gives you goosebumps, but in a good way. A very good way.

There will never be another decade like the 80s. Best time of my life. I was in my teens to very early 20s. I lived a 1/4 mile away from Six Flags in Arlington Texas with a season pass every year. I raced dirt bikes, learned how to play guitar, wore the parachute pants with concert t-shirts and had the time of my life. I can remember when this song came out in 86. Having the 80s music to listen to was just the icing on the cake! The music after the 80s, it started rolling down hill fast and in a bad way. Seem like it all got stupid. I would give everything I own to go back and enjoy those times I had back then again. Good times 😉👍
