I believe I paid $96 USD. The time spent with my wife & son was worth it, but I was hoping for a more epic experience that felt less grindy. Also, we knew mid-campaign our son was so far ahead that he would likely win; he finished ahead by ~15% more points. A runaway leader was definitely a problem in our campaign, but a lot was just successful risk taking on his part.

Thanks for sharing! It's interesting you had a runaway leader, did he win a lot of the games or just do real well at the "spoilers"? Our game was ridiculously close with only 60 dollars separating 1st and 4th, and only 12 between 1st and 2nd.

I've seen mixed things about this game, but everyone who's played through the campaign with the same group (and usually a full 5-player group) seems to have had a good time. Hard to justify for the cost at this stage though.

Yea that's completely right. I mean we had such fun playing this, but a lot of that was from the group itself. From a mechanical standpoint this could be much better.

I'm sorry, strange question off topic- but what color are your walls, do you know? Looks great and I am looking for a color like it. (Hard to pinpoint greys)
    Love the channel!

Also it’s actually window blinds and not paint so couldn’t say a paint colour anyway 😅

I stopped watching when you said there’ll be spoilers. Can you let us know if it’s worth the time and $ or not? I really wish you had a none spoiler review.
PS. Our whole family is very new to board gaming and the original TTR is our “level” of play.

There are a lot of non spoiler reviews out there! We'd rather not just say yes or no as it's more complex than that.

I was also a bit weary about watching a "spoiler review" but I can assure you the spoilers are very minimal! and having watched a lot of spoiler free reviews of this game - it was refreshing to have Board Of It lay it out in a bit more detail. If after watching several rave reviews (albeit spoiler free) you were still on thy fence whether to buy this game, then watch this review.

@@MagdalenaMichowska Thank you! @jbringas9582 I'll also add here that it's Ticket to Ride. This isn't the narrative experience of the year. The only "surprises" and unlocks are mechanistic in nature, so when we say spoilers, we mean things you'll find out as soon as you open the box or play your first game.

We played three players & wish we had at least four. As a big TTR fan I like it but as a legacy game it was just okay. The last three game lengths aren’t ideal either and can imagine how much worse that is with more players.

@@christopherleary7934 I stumbled by accident onto the FAQ which says something like "games should not go over 90 minutes" and at 5 we'd blown past that time like halfway through the campaign. Maybe they were playing with a chess timer :D
