In this Longplay/Walkthrough video, i'm playing and showing a thorough and detailed guide about how to complete the Sega Genesis version of Streets of Rage 2 [USA] by playing as Blaze Fielding from the beginning to the very end on the Hardest difficulty setting.

Finally! Someone with an excellent Blaze gameplay. She has always been my favorite character in these games. I have been able to defeat this game with her on the hardest mode, but never without losing a life or two. Great content.
Mania is the hardest mode, though still very impressive

The cartoon look is nostalgic because that's the way video games were made before computer animation took over.
This game is so cool... I haven't gotten a chance to play it for a very long time!

@@diavolo23231 I always liked blaze and max. Max with the katana or the metal pipe could hit anyone from front and behind and Blaze with the 2nd strike with the knife.

This game was one of the best Christmas presents me and my fraternal twin ever received the year it came out! It was so arcade-like in quality, I couldn't believe the Genesis/Mega Drive could crank out something THAT pristine. We played the first Streets of Rage so much it was almost like VG religion to us (lol), but then its much more tantalizing (AND SUPERIOR) sequel came out and there was no more talk of Nintendo in our household ever since. Ahhh, the good old days...

Bro I watched all of your gameplays of the Streets of rage trilogy. My favorite is Sor1. Sor1 was the hardest game for me. I could beat every other streets of rage game (on hard mode of course I'm not a pro) but sor1 I just couldn't do on hard or easy mode. And I always play as blaze so I thought I just needed to switch to Axel. Then I saw you play as blaze with no hits on hardest difficulty. Not even a hit from the blaze twins aka mona and lisa. So I basically watched that video once a week until I was able to do hardest mode with blaze and not have to use any continues and it worked.

Fun Fact: In stage three you head to the arcade part where you see arcade machines which are labeled Bare Knuckle. Bare Knuckle is what is called in the Japanese version of Streets of Rage

Blaze is my second choice, but man the games do my boi Adam dirty.
I always gravitated to Adam because of how well rounded he was, even as a kid, I just instinctively chose Adam, and I always saw them as th og 3, like the main faces. Seeing them without Adam always felt empty or hollow.
Hoping Adam is a main in 4
Adam is back in 4, after you defeat Estel for the first time.
Plus, his attack power is sick if you know how to perform his combos.

I have yet to see your Axel playthrough, but with Blaze it looks like you’re using weapons more than with Max and Skate. Not to mention a final score less than 999999 where those 2 have reached.

Streets of rage 2 updates (and nerfs) of enemies. (Vs streets of rage 1)
1. The girls with the whips are now sub bosses and they deal more damage now. And they are prettier
2. Big ben is now a sub boss/regular enemy
3. Souther is now worthy of being a boss and has more than 1 move! Speed increase
4. Abadede has more than 1 move now! And he has a crowd!
5. Karate dudes have more moves now but no speed.
6. Mr X has a new sidekick but still has the same moves and pattern. (He's gotta learn how to fight)

The Blitz attack "Vertical slash" of Blaze Fielding will not drain your life gauge.
However, a STATIONARY special attack only drains your life if you hit an enemy with it, a DIRECTED special attack always drains your life.
I did not use the STATIONARY or the DIRECTED special attack on the enemies in my Longplay videos of Streets of Rage 2 / Bare Knuckle II.
I had so much trouble beating the third and fourth boss in this game. I had Sega ultimate genesis when I was 13 and playing on my dad’s ps3.
@@melinapaz2831 Yea Zamza & Ultimate warrior are SO ANNOYING. At least we have jump kicks for Ultimate warrior, but for Zamza? NOOOOO that guy can counter almost anything & almost always BLOCKS when you don`t want to! & HE ALWAYS JUMPS AROUND IN THE WEIRDEST SPOTS OF THE FINGHT AREA!
Her knife skills is quite similar to Cody Traverse from Final Fight.

…..meanwhile, Axel, Max and Skate hit the town on an epic guys night out… completely forgetting they had somewhere to be, but so happened to show up when all the fighting was done.
Why the Balloons fire didn't hit you. Is that swords effect.
Back in the day when I was a Kid, SOR was my favorite genesis game. I was naturally completely over the top hyped when SOR2 came out... and... utter dissapointment is all I experienced. Terrible game. Same goes for SOR3. Luckily, SOR4 revived the badassery of the original.

Is this "HARDEST" or "MANIA" difficulty? This is NOT the hardest difficulty. They're not even attacking you. I'm the best player at this game. Seeing this, I know those asians manipulated me through their games. Abadede is actually letting you hold him. If this were hard, he wouldn't even let you hold him for long and he'd rush you for having distance in-between you and himself. This is NOT hardest.
Agree, the robots are not that easy and kusano with the thai fighters look like bums
yeah there's some kinda cheat enabled or something. i saw many instances where an enemy was standing right in front of him for a couple seconds and just waited for him to hit them. i just played this game on hard and the enemies are much quicker and aggressive. i also saw a few times when it looked like the enemies attacks went right through him. i don't believe for one second this is a legit playthrough. i wouldn't even believe this were legit if he said it were on normal, because even on normal the enemies aren't this passive and stupid.

I tried to beat this on hardest today and after using both my continues, I died at the round 5 boss. ☹ But I can beat the game on easy and normal in my sleep lol 🤷♀️

No, it is not a MOD or a Hacked Version of Streets of Rage 2. This Longplay video of mine shows the Original Version of Streets of Rage 2.
Every playable character in Streets of Rage 2 are able to throw Big Ben and all of his other variations such as Big-Go, Heart, Balloon, Bongo, Gourmand, Golba, Buffet, Dante, Titan, Anry without getting squashed under his weight.
Only in Streets of Rage 1 and 3, he will squash the player under his weight when you try to throw him.
The first s.o.r. you couldn't. That might have been the mix up
That "AAAR!!" noise the thugs make when they die has always annoyed me for some reason. It's the one thing I never liked about SOR2.

I prefer to play Blaze from Bare Knuckle 3 in Streets of Rage 2 (hack by Gsaurus), she has similar abilities as original but looks better. Unfortunately this hack sometimes crashes and sprites are not fully compatible (hacking Mega Drive ROMs is difficult due to limited space). Anyway longplay is great.
I play as blaze in streets of rage 2 along with axel I tried to master max but felt he was a bit clunky
I prefer to play blaze no matter what S.O.R game.

Hm, there were probably used cheats, because I don't know how it is possible. You are playing the hardest difficulty, but enemies don't fight and are moving very slow. 🤷♂️ Some stages comleted without injury??!

I absolutely didn't use any cheats or tools while making this Longplay / Walkthrough video.
It sure took a lot of time to practice and study the whole game before making this Walkthrough / Longplay video. I also had to be very patient. Countless runs were ruined while making a No Damage run Longplay.

@@TurkishBullet19 I've watched a lot of SOR gameplays on RUclips but never actually played one, so I found out that it's available on android and it is so hard. The controls are difficult to play with and I'm stuck on the last stage. Performing axel's grand upper is also tough in this version
