Have older car so if I upgrade alternator it will keep battery charge my battery keeps draining even if Car is not on I have red top optima battery

If battery is draining while CAr is off means you have a parasitic drain in your system. Feel your alternator in morning before you fire it up. If it's warm then you have an issue.
