So glad you guys are back on Aurora! Two suggestions: Cover - Believer by Imagine Dragons (if your not familiar with the song listen to the original first - you won't believe what she does with the song). Original: The Seed (this is one of the rare instances where I would recommend the Video before a live performance - it really is a masterpiece).
I was waiting for this moment! Great reaction as always, her live performance of teardrop is ethereal, just magic. Her stripped down version of songs are fantastic, both covers and originals. Can't wait for the next reaction! Have a great day!
Glad you enjoyed!
I love both versions as each brings their own flair and feelings to the table. That being said I would love to hear AURORA do some covers of Massive Attacks contemporaries Portishead.
Jesus. Aurora is the closest thing we have to an angel on earth.
I really enjoyed your reaction and discussion of the history and dynamics of the song, particularly AURORA's interpretation and her mesmerizing vocals! In my opinion, she's an emotive genius. For AURORA's original material, I highly recommend her music video for her environmental anthem "The Seed," as well as her live performances: "Through the Eyes of a Child" at Nidarosdomen; "Churchyard" at KEXP in Iceland; "A Different Kind of Human" and "Daydreamer" at the 2019 HAIK concert; "Soulless Creatures" with the Bergen Philharmonic; plus her cover of "God is a Woman."
I working but i have to say hey to you guys.. I know that you do AURORA good. See ya in a couple of hours. 🙃
I get what you're both saying, Aurora has a great voice and an ethereal interpretation. Definitely a rising star. But nonetheless it's still a cover. For me, this version is a powerful reflection of just how wonderful the original is, the one sung and performed by Elizabeth Frazer with Massive Attack. All the real genuine creativity in the music and lyrics plus the inspiration and emotion is wrapped up in the original
Mezzanine is one of the best albums ever made. This is not a personal option but globally accepted wisdom. And Aurora basically adopts this song as her own.
And Hugh Laurie, don't bother with House as decent as it is, but go watch Blackadder season 2, 3 and 4 and "A bit of Fry and Laurie" and you will discover some of the funniest things ever to be filmed for TV.
And since it must be said - go original with "Through the eyes of a child" live on VEVO before us weirdos carpet-bomb you with entire concerts.
Thanks for your time. Wonderful as always.
This is like the live version...there was a vídeo for this one lol it was on a radio station, they challenged them to play this song, they had never done it before, and they only gave them half an hour to imagine the cover.
It is the live recording from that radio session. She has never released this as cover
Pederson, Jon 276 Pebble Creek Cir. Fearless on my breath...
Magnus: AuRoRa, you're reading the phone book
AuRoRa: I forgot the words. just go with it, they won't notice

Love your Aurora reactions as always :-)
Another fantastic cover she performs is “Believer” by Imagine Dragons
ruclips.net/video/ucY21wLJhOo/видео.html
But she also has tons of great Aurora songs as well, like this stripped-down version of “Warrior”
ruclips.net/video/DySnX5TwMMw/видео.html
Or this stripped-down version of “Running With The Wolves”
ruclips.net/video/5skBr_96dPc/видео.html
Or whatever you choose next!
It's funny how you mentioned Aurora could sing "bla bla" and make it beautiful. She actually sings her own made up language in parts of her song "Forgotten love" :)
Hello again. Now I'm more on track. Often when you do reactions, we Warriors and weirdos make our voices high and say that you should do her live performances. But it is very important to listen to her album originals as well .... Why then: Aurora is a sound collector and in the originals she uses rather strange sounds from everything possible.
Too bad you think her cover is the best from her :-P..... But it's your channel and your discussions are so interesting. You have heard her masterpiece Lucky and then you liked it very much. Just so you know. Hahaha. See you soon !!
Please do more aurora! She recently did a boney. M cover as well. Rasputin

@@intothemusic908 ooo thanks! I was just looking at the playlist should have looked closer lol
She has her own voice. There are partial similarities to the singing of Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush. Unfinished Sympathy by Massive Attack is a good 90’s tune, and if you don’t know it worth a review.
I always thought this was supposed to be about having an abortion when she got pregnant with Jeffs child then he died.
Do the original. It wipes the floor with this
She’s a very interesting singer but I’m not sure this adds anything to what is already a perfect song. Liz Fraser is an absolute original and Aurora has a similar ethereal quality, but Fraser was there over 20 years ago. The original is better.
I like them both.
@@jameshannagan4256 I Agree. It is interesting seeing Aurora cover a song that is already notable for its ethereal singing and doing it in a more pared-back way than MA's trip-hop classic. But I adore Liz Fraser's voice - on Mezzanine, but also Cocteau Twins - such an original. And so is Aurora.
I’m sorry Aurora takes this to another level her vocal range is outstanding
@@johndennison3140 I been very much enjoying getting into Aurora. She is excellent and has every right to cover this or any other song. However, Mezzanine is an extraordinarily good album and Liz Fraser is a wonderful singer. One can hear so much of Fraser and her individuality in Aurora - not because of the sound, but because of that fearless individuality they both have.
I can't change my view, that I prefer the original. Your preference for Aurora's cover is fine too. It's all subjective in the end. I'm enjoying the Aurora journey.
It’s a good cover version but the original Massive Attack song with Liz Fraser on vocals is vastly superior
Im a massive Massive Attack fan lol and i disagree. I love the Liz one because is the original, and its the first one that i heard. But is not vastly superior, and plus the aurora one was live made in the pressure of one hour, they didnt even know that they would do the song on the radio. Was a challenge hy the station
Agree wholeheartedly
I have to agree, the original is always best. Especially if it’s followed by Protection and Unfinished Sympathy
@@jessica5497 They are both great but people do not give enough credit sometimes to the original artists.
We all have artists that we truly love, for me it's Elizabeth Frazer, and Cocteau Twins,so much as I like this version,an appreciate it technically,it doesn't move me like the original. Its not meant as a criticism,I think we all have "that artist" and she covered mine.
