Have you noticed how Aurora draws you into her world? A world that shows us how this world should be!? If you have, then you understand why I call her our Queen of the North.
I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again Aurora takes music to another level she is the essence of what music is all about one word for her Genius ❤️🍎❤️🍎❤️
She found a piano in the attic when she was 6, and I think it was the on/off button she had to hold in, so she learned to play with one hand😅 Her parents didn’t know she was making music without lyrics from the age of 6. From the age of 9 she started writing lyrics in English, her family didn’t know yet. It wasn’t until later that she played songs for her parents, she didn’t do it live cause she was to scared. Her first song was released in 2012, it was “Puppet’, and Awakening came in 2013.. Aurora didn’t want to be an artist, but her mom convinced her, and said Aurora had the ability to help people. So that’s why she did it 🥰 To think that she is self taught in both singing and playing piano is just amazing 🤘👍🥰
Elizabeth Fraser also wrote the lyrics of Tear Drop for Massive Attack. She wrote it after her very close friend Jeff Buckley disappeared at the Wolf River Harbor and then some time latter they found his body there he had drowned.
Love this cover. Aurora has Midas Touch to the music. Also she change some songs (in covers) a lot, but for sure she make the songs her owns (i mean she gives her touch and interpretation to covers). I think you still did not checked Lucky live from Nidarosdomen and it would by my recommendation (she wrote this great song at a age of 9 - mind blowing). Have a nice day!
Nice reaction! Here are some suggestions: Under Stars, Lucky, Soft Universe, It Happened Quiet all live at Nidarosdomen Soulless Creatures live at Bergen 2020 All is Soft Inside live at KEXP Under the Water live at Honda Stage Exist For Love live at SOS Ole Bull One of her best covers is Believer live at P3
One of the bette things about getting older and more forgetful is that you can enjoy your favorite things from your youth again, and experience them as almost new!
Banksy is an English street artist and political activist, whose identity is speculated upon but unknown. His work occasionally appears overnight on walls and buildings in an instantly recognisable stencil type style. They tend to have a social or political commentary. I'm sure the name came back to you after recording the reaction, the box drum he's sitting on is a cajon. I love the artwork of Aurora on the cajon in the video for Christines radiofestival: Aurora - «A Different Kind of Human» (close up at 48 seconds) and would love to have one just like it. Actually that one does have a look of Banksy's artwork. As for a song to react to, I think you might like her original song: Aurora - Under the Water (Live on the Honda Stage) It's got more of a metal feel to it, so a bit different to the songs you've already heard from her.
Another side of Aurora ... When the dancers come on stage 😍 AURORA - Running With The Wolves @ La Cigale, Paris : ruclips.net/video/hsoGMLWAYJs/видео.html
I see Aurora and her band have this song stext in front of them, so it seem this also is a "challenge" perfomence. With just one hour to create and rehearse a from before unkown song.
Aurora actually plays several instruments.... Primarily piano. She can play basic chords on guitar. She apparently is decent behind a drum. And she has a mandolin(or lute?) that she's learning. She isn't an instrumental savant in the way she is vocally....but her technique is solid. It's funny....her piano playing is almost entirely arpeggiated chords with the occasional bass note underneath. It's super simple and spare and minimal and effortless the way she plays.....but it really works with her style. There's LOTS of videos of her playing piano, and her hands are conducting the air as much as they are touching the keys. She has a real light touch to her approach.....and it vibes with her vocal approach perfectly. A good example would be the Ole Bull show. It's just her at a piano singing for a small crowd, in late 2020.....so she's a bit rusty due to pandemic times and all, but the way she laughs her way through the mistakes is ADORABLE. But you also get a good sense of how she plays piano. And she does a gorgeous Bob Dylan cover too. :)
I've really enjoyed your Aurora reactions. Thanks for your thoughts on them. As good as her covers are, I'm pleased to see you doing some of her videos and live performances of her original works. I think you'd really enjoy the live version (at the Current) of 'It happened quiet' - ruclips.net/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/видео.html

Not sure but my feeling is this came out during 2001 attacks on the twin towers. I think I heard this the same day I heard the news in that particular morning.
Great reaction 😂 Aurora is great for sure👍 she holds second place on my list, after Angelina Jordan. Both Norwegians😉 And both incredible vocalists. Angelina will turn 16 on January, but go check this performance out from when she was 9 years 2 months, and I know you'll be hooked. Your musical knowledge and appreciation and understanding of greatness is too big for it NOT to happen. You will never see something like this from a 9 year old girl ever again, I promise you that much : m.ruclips.net/video/nwFloCPXzCs/видео.html I wish you a cognitively great and a Happy New Year ! 😂👍
OMG she's so freaking good! and insanely cute!
Luv Aurora forever!

Aurora's musical brain is a beautiful thing. She is perfect.

She has LOTS of covers......and literally every single one is SO good.
Her choices of songs to cover is always so spot on for her vibe.
Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins originally sang this with Massive attack.
Elizabeth Fraser also wrote the lyrics of Tear Drop for Massive Attack. She wrote it after her very close friend Jeff Buckley disappeared at the Wolf River Harbor and then some time latter they found his body there he had drowned.
@@chris55top Jeff Buckley the singer ?
Åh you should go listen to her cover of Life on mars (on nrk) .. there she really display her dynamics when playing the piano.

Some great covers by Aurora :
"Life on Mars", Bowie
"Famous blue raincoat", Cohen
"Across the Universe", Beatles
God is a woman is also brilliant... and was also (i think) something they got as a task to do an arrangement in 30 minutes :)
And Believer by Imagine Dragons on P3 Christine live.
I'd also add...
Alanis Morisette - Thank U
And, her God is a Woman cover is quite gorgeous too.
Thank you so much! Other commenters have great suggestions, especially the live performances!
One of the bette things about getting older and more forgetful is that you can enjoy your favorite things from your youth again, and experience them as almost new!
Famous Blue Raincoat !
Another cover by her that I can recommend is Believer. Awesome.
absolutely amazing and wonderful 💞

Nope. Came out in 1998. I just hadn't heard it. I think my feelings were that of this at the time and I heard it and it resonated.
Great reaction 😂
