One of Nics best performances and one of my all time fav Elvis impersonations, this was Nic Cage at the top of his game back in the day. This is a Nic Cage that is young, strong, fast, unpredictable and more dangerous than a rattlesnake, the ultimate bad boy. This movie’s title says it all. Don’t f with his girl, his car or his jacket
Another ignorant that knows nothing about expressionism. There's not a single person un Hollywood that doesn't say he's one of the goat. Don't get fooled by him not believing in big productions anymore. Here, start with this and then read his biography, no hate, you will end up loving him and understanding this statement.
OH MY GOSH, you have no idea how much I love this scene, this film, everything about this is just what I need in my life. It's infinitely a part of my soul. x
Whoever they got to do the screams, the one that leads the pack (if it's not just a recording) is seriously talented. I don't think I've ever actually heard anyone reach that pitch
Treat me like a fool, Treat me mean and cruel, But love me. Break my faithful heart, Tear it all apart, But love me. If you ever go, Darling, i'll be oh so lonely I'll be sad and blue, Crying over you, dear only. I would beg and steal Just to feel your heart Beatin' close to mine Well, if you ever go, Darling, i'll be oh so lonely Beggin' on knees, All i ask is please, please love me Oh yeah
One of the many great things about Cage's performance in this wonderful movie is he does not, at any point, do a dumb Elvis impression. He LOVES Elvis, he respects him so much, he wants to be not just the guy, but the guy in the songs. The guy he saw on Ed Sullivan. And somehow he ends up embodying that guy. Something even Elvis himself couldn't do. And who knew he had those pipes? And again, it's never an impression, it's a genuine heartfelt performance through and through.
I've loved ELVIS for a long time like ever since I was 4 years old and I've heard that song a lot too and wow I'm Amazed Nicolas Cage sounds almost just like Elvis
By far, one of the greatest Lynch movie-moments. Up there with Ben's rendition of "In Dreams" by Roy Orbison, in Blue Velvet. ruclips.net/video/xtjiVTSs8pc/видео.html
The screaming sounds a lot like the crowd noise from The Beatles Ed Sullivan performance, but it's so damn nightmarish here. Man I adore this movie: Rock n' Roll Lynch.
One day / One evening I would play this scene with my own Lula. (Just like I played the brawl in Powermad mode before, but that's another time) This movie (just like Only Lovers Left Alive) represents true love, Wild and Real.
Yep, LOL. And they knew the song, LOL. Kooky Lynch. That got a big laugh in the theater when they went from hard metal to Cage throwing his hand up and they immediately start playing Elvis, LOL.
Sorry, but Nicolas Cage didn't sing this Elvis song. He only lip-synced. Check the original recording from Ed Sullivan Show in 1956 and compare with Nics performance. Even the screaming girls make it prove.
It's interesting, I've only ever watched this on VHS and for whatever reason, on that format, it sounds more like vulture screeches. Hearing it in a digital format takes away some of the subliminal magic I felt when I thought it was something more terrifying.

Totally agree.
He’s still great, finest film actor alive imo. Bad lieutenant port of call Nola is my fav tho I think, the guys got an insane range
This movie- nay, this scene- made me love him forever.
You nailed it!
He was pumping irons in the 80s, this is Cage's body slowly going downhill despite the wife beater and action films
This is why is the greatest actor of the last 40 years. Just Brilliant.
Bro hahahhahahahah tell me you are not serious because this is arguably the most ridiculous statement I've heard of

Passion at it's most explicit and passionate. Lynch delivered a wild love story on fire for the ages. One of my favorites.
Just watched this on 35mm. First David Lynch film I've seen on the big screen. Amazing.
I saw this on the big screen twice when it was brand new, back in the summer of 1990. It is indeed quite an experience in the theater.
Incredible!! Lynch is the master of the surreal. An artistic genius. I love all his films and of course Twin Peaks. He’s my favorite writer director.
I would do almost anything to see this movie the big screen. I love it so much.
So wonderful!! He has a wonderful voice! Should be more to hear from him!
What an awesome voice for Nic absolutely love this man
Who knew? I could listen to Nic sing all day, amazing!
That's about as close to original as you can get one of the best oldies of all time fantastic job Nick
Still Wild at Heart after 50 years the wonderful Mr Cage!
This movie is amazing.
I need a Nicolas Cage Elvis cover album 😭

Why is this better than Elvis’ version..?? I love it so much
This version is pretty good I agree but I highly recommend watching Jorge Garcia’s version on the show Hawaii five 0 😏
It is better. Nicer voice.
Autotune; editing; studio vocals dubbed to the video; numerous takes. Choreography excellent.
@@Jeph629This is from 1990. Autotune wasn't a thing yet.
Nicholas Cage, the voice😊 and handsome too
The girls screaming are a constant mood lmao
😭🤣🤣🤣🤣😭
A Fantastic Movie.....
watching it again now. I love it and Nick's voice.

its not a lynch film without someone singing (or lip synching) a great song
Lynch understands the power of a really fucking good musical moment
Canta muito bem 👏👏🎤🎵🎵🎼🎼🎶🎶🎷🎷🎸🎸Estoy encantada🌜🌜🌜
Es Elvis no el
It’s so nice to think it’s really Elvis Presley.
The screaming is so unnatural and unnerving. Lynch is such a genius.
dayuuuuuum! Nicolas💕
Love Nicolas Cage he's a good actor 👍💯❤️
Yo también lo amo es mi actor favorito❤❤❤
This scene made me love Nick. ♥️
The screaming sounds a lot like the crowd noise from The Beatles Ed Sullivan performance, but it's so damn nightmarish here.
Man I adore this movie: Rock n' Roll Lynch.
Nicolas Cage is the greatest actor of his generation, his terrible choice of movies notwithstanding
He did it for the money at the time due to some debts and his mother's medical care/facility
Между прочим, я это искала
Fav scene from Wild at Heart. Lynch, you great son of a b* tch
