It's definitely my favorite Nic Cage film, and while his releases are a mixed bag, he has a ton of other great movies... Just not any others where he wears a snakeskin jacket and does karate moves on the dancefloor at a heavy metal concert.
I had Wild at Heart on VHS when it first came out and I loved that movie. It’s a fantastic movie but lots of people I showed it to just didn’t get it. Nic Cage was never better and Willem Dafoe is great, Harry Dean Stanton is wonderful and Laura Dern is spectacular. What a film man.
I watched it on VHS too. But I taped it off TV one night (Channel 4 in the UK). I was too young so it was well past my bedtime and my parents are conservative Chinese takeaway parents, lol. It was a revelatory experience to say the least. Lynch was the man.
6:40 The whole Hollywood convention of saying the title of the movie in the movie's dialogue has always made me chuckle. I'm glad it's no longer a prerequisite for script writers.
In this case the name of the movie came from the book it was adapted from, and I suspect the author chose that name based upon this dialog. Generally one does not choose the title of a work at random and then try to shoehorn it into the dialog.
love it I was lucky to see it on a big screen.. last movie at the local theater... made the early 1990s still classic,,magic,,,sweet,,, not like today dystopian hell,,,
It's true, you can't.(Maybe it's a music licensing thing....the Presley estate?) Im so happy to find a few clips...I saw it so long ago yet certain parts are 100% burned into my brain. Diane Ladd and the lipstick scene, Bobby Peru, scary Cajun lady..it was shown in a theatre a couple of weeks ago here, and I didn't know about it til after, Damn it!
so epic love this film made 1990 sweet and magic,,,, a bit of retro and wizard of oz meets early 1990s... top 10 even like it better than Blue Velvet which also is magic
Somewhat underrated and overlooked, this is probably my favorite Lynch film.
Lost Highway also,if you have not check it out.
@ Love it. I think Eraserhead, Lost Highway and Mulholland Drive are his most surreal films.
@vandolmatzis8146 lost Highway is also my fav Lynch film. Gets slept on a lot. Music is also legend.

"Wild At Heart" is my second favorite film of all time, behind only the masterwork that is "Raging Bull" ("Fargo" comes third)!!!
Absolutely. An all time favorite!👍
'Thrilling to the soul' is what you gave us, David Lynch.

Ahead of his time
Bobby Perú is the best villain ever in cinema history.
