This was very interesting. Your videos provide a large source of inspiration and aimed goals. I just recently ordered my first Rav and I am excited for the journey. I need to find some ideas for storing it. I'd like to put it up on my wall if I can.

Glad to help! There are tons of other videos as well that can point you in the right direction on my page. I also offer 1:1 lessons if that is ever of interest. As for storage, zen percussion makes really stable magnetic wall mounts you may like. Take a look at those! I store my handpans and Ravs on bakers racks typically, or handpans on holders on the wall. Enjoy the new instrument my friend!

I love your music and philosophy. As with any spiritual tools/practices/music which have been colonised and plundered by cultural appropriation till death, this meditative instrument might be the next victim . As an Asian who loves spiritual music and yoga, I'm glad to enjoy making soul music without being ashamed that I am not a white rasta with mandala tattoo and bundled dreadlocks! 🕉

Thanks so much for this, it's really helpful as someone who's new to this instrument and pretty new to making music at all. Also love your approach and philosophy around 11:40.

Hey, man thanks for the video :) I just got my G pygmy. Still figuring out all the chords right now. I think one thing lacking with the Rav/Handpan community is a lack of resources/knowledge base. I was wondering if it's possible to chart all the possible chords for the various Rav scale so it will be easy for beginners to start with the chords. Even I treat Rav more like a piano then a drum, it's so peaceful and mellow :)

Hey! Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it. 🙏 I think the appeal for many people is the ability to not know just theory and be able to express their hearts that way. As for chord potential, I think that I a good idea. I’m general the right and left side are each one or two different triads, essentially making the scale. I think a list of potentials is a great idea 🙏🎶

    Which scale is it?
