In this video, as we continue on the fifth episode of my adventures through eastern mexico, we make a stop in the town of merida mexico, in this video I'll show you what to expect in terms of things to do here what you can expect to find when you come see the ruins here in this city that's cursed from all the ancient sacrifices back in the day.

I have had the opportunity to travel through out the world…so just some advice…when visiting another country please do your homework. Indulge in their culture, cuisine and what it has to offer. My assumption is you live in the US…if your going to visit Starbucks and Krispy Kreme just stay home.
you should watch my mexico series, I have over 20 videos in there plus a few more about Merida in depth
@@DionsTravels no body would be dumb enough to continue watching any of your other videos.
@Hello Kitteh, what culture, Disney?
Thank you for telling people not to come to the city that I love. It's crowded and terribly overrun with outsiders already.
didn't you already post this comment? 😂
I will likely retire in Yucatan. Not to bring American ways with me, but to leave them behind.
Florida is also being overrunned with people from other states, it sucks!
No, i hope everyone goes to that overrated and ridiculously hot and moldy city. Keep them away from better cities. Merida for everyone!
Krispy Kreme, Dominos, Starbucks??? When I visit Merida I eat cochinita pibil, panuchos, tamales, huevos con chaya, and drink horchatas and jamaicas and licor de agave.
i also ate pibil and got food poisoning, the restaurants here people need to have better sanitary habits
@@DionsTravels for sure. We moved there for 2 months and that was my biggest concern. Sanitation
@@roy4104 go home gringo!! Your people needs to stop trying to colonize Mexico and Latin America just because your broke white a$$es can’t afford to live in the USA or Canada. Demand your corrupt, money and drug hungry government to fix the issues in the USA instead of flocking to Latin America. How the tables have turned
I am in Merida and I got an appointment to get my residency (4 years).
i am a very happy Canadian planning to pass alot of time here.
Merida Yucatan is the best. And I can take the bus for Progreso beach for 1.10$US !!
Safest place on earth, excellent health care,, excellent dentist, low cost of life, good food.
Can't find any better place.
anywhere is better than the current state of Canada 🤣
@@DionsTravels No, in these months, it is as hot in Toronto and Montreal.
Why are you laughing ?? Are you an ass ?
@@DionsTravels Anywhere better than Canada ??!!
@@SonnyoYucatan Canada sucks
I think he lost something in his head, what is he talking about?
This dude literally bought donuts in yucatan bro stop traveling you go to a new place and try the local food not a donut you can get in 7-11
it was pretty good, there's no law that says i can't buy donuts 🤣
No one is saying laws you misunderstood he’s point ahole
You need to do some research before you go to a place you do not know and you do not understand!
it's hard to do any research when all the people online lie about Merida and say it's great and there's no problems, which is why I had to make a video to tell the truth 💯🤔
01:46 which font did you use for the "EXCUSE THE NOISES" text?
it's my custom travels font 😂
We’d completely disagree. Nice central location of the Yucatan peninsula, ranked second safest city in North America and safest in all of Mexico. It’s a city full of culture with amazing food, beautiful architecture and really great people. There’s so much to do in the area and the cost of living in such a beautiful part of the world is almost unbeatable… Can’t see how someone would say it sucks haha, it’s an awesome city to live in and visit, without being overly touristy like Cancun or Tulum
would you say the same if you didn't have a car? 😂
@@DionsTravels We never did. Ubers were ridiculously cheap there and there was always the collectivos as well, so wasn't an issue at all.
@@DionsTravels You were 30 minutes from Centro on a bike ride.
Didn't you see the bike super safe route from where you were ?
And you could take the bus to the beach.
Just 30 minutes !!
What the hell are you doing at Home Depot ??
You can't judge a town by it's home Depot.
You are very low.
Hope I'll never meet you.
@@KyleJess Merida is a beautiful city with so much to do and see. There are so many cultural events and eco tours to do. The heat is super hot which is definitely Merida's downside and there is public transportation that can take you to all these places. Negative people attract negative vibes which is very clear in this video lol
who wants to bike for 30 minutes in the hot sun? 🤣🤣🤣
All HomeDepot neighborhoods are pretty boring.
If you are planning your vacation next to a HomeDepot........
home depot is the best 😂
I never comment but this bothered me solely because you are so negative, how can any travel experience meet your expectations? Geez dude.
I'm only pointing out the realities, I'm not sugar coating the experience like other vloggers do. 💯💯💯
@@DionsTravels I'm not sure how one might sugar coat tool shopping, or make it sound like the most exhilarating of experiences.
He obviously comes from a very privileged life.
Bus, taxi all accessable, easy and affordable.
expensive slow and unreliable including ubers who try to bait and switch and rob your cash at night 🤦🏻♂️
I have used local busses, taxies and have just walked in Merida. Never had any issues. Local transportation is far cheaper than renting and insuring a car in Merida. Every neighborhood has at least one local bus route. Since Krispy Kreme, Starbucks and Home Depot were your go-to places, adventure may not be your thing.
Hey I used to lived there and is beautiful
keyword being "used to" 😂🔫
Better to be in a safest city with traffic than a city full of cartels and drug lords with less traffic
Better to not be in Mexico than to have to make compromises like these 🤣🤣🤣💯
Mah-rid-a? Ok that was all I needed to hear to know you’re trolling 😂 If you’re so afraid of the unrested spirits, then stop degrading their land and they might leave you alone.
The locals already degraded the land by building residential units on it. You can't avoid it 🤣🔫
I think he's just saying that to discourage people from moving there. They even have a Costco! The beaches are like 30 minutes? Yeah totally disagree with you!! People don't believe him and dislike his video... he's just hating!
There's also unrested spirits in the scared lands that are scattered throughout the city that will keep you up at night and also unlimited insects and ants and waterbugs which never go away even with constant fumigation 😅🔫
You went to Mexico to eat a donut?
When there is great food there?!
it was a great donut 🤣
In deed it does suck. We stayed two months, further from town , las Americas II. Definitely need a car. It sucked so much that I skipped most of your video. Haha 😂
amen 🙏
It sucks ass
No wonder why you don’t have many likes in your video! If you don’t like Mérida, just don’t go dude!🤣
Help the video out by clicking dislike twice and like once 🤣
Probably sucks because you're by yourself
I had unrested spirits keeping me company 🤣🔫
@@DionsTravels okay your come backs are funny sir. I admit 😂
@@DionsTravels You're alone and will always be alone. With that piss poor attitude, no chick will want to be with a scrub like you. It's 5 months later and your still with your right hand lol
You make a travel video of Merida Mexico and visit Krispy Kreme, Starbucks and Home Depot and then tell us it sucks there? Whoa....
And also about a haunted airbnb and non stop ants and waterbugs and how its a very unwalkable city outside of the center
@@DionsTravels
I don't remember seeing any ants, waterbugs or ghosts in the video.
You must have a wild imagination.
Why exactly does it suck?
for the reasons that no one else wants to mention, from the point of view of long term living, you can't live here without a car, Uber is expensive and everything is far, there are alot of unrested spirits in this city from all the Mayan sacrifices, which means you have to be careful about the place that you rent, there's lots of ants and waterbugs, it's unbelievably hot, there's not much to do here beyond the standard tourism stuff and lastly it sucks 🤣🔫
@@DionsTravels I guess everyone has a different opinion. I don’t believe in ghosts so I loved Merida.
@@DionsTravels I have had sleep paralysis in the past a few times, so I know it's real. That is definitely something I don't wanna deal with when moving in somewhere. If you watch the video by Chris Rodriguez about Merida, he also tells some stuff about there that is really alarming if it is actually true what he said. Idk if he is lying, but if what he said in his video is true, then Merida is not the safest city.
@@shahjehan lmao imagine being a grown ass man (boy) and saying "oOoOoOo that place is scary because ghosts live there"
@@DionsTravels sounds like a normal day in houston
Wow!! This guy went to my hometown for a donut.? You could of at least got the donut in our legendary bakeries all around downtown. But any way thanks for telling people not to come , there is already way to many tourist deciding to live here after visiting. So whats your new address here in Merida neighbor?.. hahaha
Best donuts in Mexico 🤣

Is Oaxaca cheaper place to live then Merida, Mexico? 🇲🇽 (Cost of living)
Wasn't worth it to make a stop for me 🤣
@@DionsTravels Do you have a favorite location or city in Mexico, you would want to live longterm say at least 1 year?.
No, just stay in your Country gringo. Mexico and other Countries of Latin America are tired of your people trying to colonize.
I have travelled the world many times over and I have always loved Merida. This year I visited the city for the third time and I hope to return soon
don't believe it 🤣 I've traveled the world many times as well and wouldn't want to return to merida ever again 💯
Hey Merida is beautiful for me and the food is delicious don't ever talk my city like that I sometimes cry to go to Merida 😆😂
The airbnb wasn't haunted...your equipment was crap😂😂
Go clean the Airbnb and find out 🤣🔫
Lmao everyone disagrees with you.
many people can't come to terms with how bad the place really is especially after they've made the commitment to live in this cursed city 🤣⚰️
@@DionsTravels lol you're a clown
Not everyone...I've lived all across Mexico and it's the most overrated place. I love how much people love it though so they'll steer clear of the better cities.
It's true Merida suck for young people.
This guy does not know how to travel and enjoy a culture.
he's been all over the world, have to agree with him that merida isn't great
@@DionsTravels uh- did you forget to log out of your main account before responding?
City, not town, and yes don't come, too many American and Canadian immigrants already
Exactly they should go back home.

Bro you don’t know where to go your suppose to be in centro. It’s like coming to Chicago and going to the hood . Do some better Recon next time
Central sucks dude it's mad small and dirty there
Not worth it taking the time to watch it. Typical pocho 😆
erik estradad was the best 💯
This had to be the worse video I've seen. Really not informative
for family 🤣🔫
Piss poor attitude. Boring delivery.
🙏 will pray for improvement 🤣
I dunno I need some piss poor attitude content somim not alone. I was thinking about coming to Merida but looks like boring America car life. I'll stick to Asia.
cry baby !!
🤣
Seriously I doubt this fellow has a clue as to what Merida is like.
yeah it's a city of trash and roaches 🤣🤣🤣
Well this is kind of boring video
Nice
Boring...
Realty typically is boring 💯
