The audio is so much better than old Q&A. Thank you!
We need a Feigenbaum corona virus video, just to bring some sanity to this situation.
Azul Simmons - No doubt. I trust these guys more than most of the so called experts out there.
They're not virologists. Look up a recent Joe Rogan podcast with a guy who knows what he's talking about: ruclips.net/video/cZFhjMQrVts/видео.html
I'm 99% sure they would recommend to follow the official guidelines published by experts in the field. So you can probably just look those up.
@@AndreaAustoni I watched that guy some. He was talking up some 48 million infected. I don't see it at the moment. Maybe I'll be wrong, but what I see is a cold/flu type of virus spreading around with a similarly low death rate. The only reason it is being hyped is it is new and the worst cases are the ones making the news since most people with mild symptoms would be sent home without being tested. This guy on Rogan seems to be sensationalize the possibilities with this illness. The experts I've seen are in wait and see mode with data accumulating to give a better idea of what we're dealing with.
@@azulsimmons1040 Sorry, didn't know you were an expert. Also, why err on the side of caution when a new and unpredictable virus with no vaccine spreads a lot faster than expected (except for actual experts who predicted the spread two months ago based on data and experience accumulated from working on previous epidemics)? I guess it's only serious if it happens in your country.
Thanks for putting the entire video up
Thanks for all the good content.
finally!!! i had almost lost hope with those 10 minute clips
"Selected out" is my new favorite phrase. Excellent point about focusing on the training itself and let the weight go where it will.
When Jordan asked Austin what his favorite protein was and there is only one correct answer I thought for sure he was referring to their whey Rx missed marketing opportunity
FINALLY.
Came for the training with hernia explination vid that allan thrall challenged you guys to do . cant seem to find it . is it uploaded yet .
Jordan you missed a great opportunity to add sound effects at 43:38. 😂😂😂
Hey. This been a great Q and A, especially at these corona-times. Could you please expand on the statement that milk, non-fat greek yoghurt is not causing any harm related to saturated fat intake? Does that means we can extract the amount of saturated fat from those sources and not count them as harmful? thank you.
I feel you, Jordan. I didn't learn how to study for nursing school until studying for boards 😂
Street Epistemology - are you talking about Anthony Magnabosco?
That flooded car story is the story of my life. This is totally the type of thing that would happen to me.
@Jordan: I initially thought it was useless to request you guys putting out something about coronavirus, but after seeing the large amount of buy-in that the "don't trust official recommendations of government agencies" sentiment has among your audience (to my surprise), maybe it would be quite useful after all to hear your opinion on it.
Nice to hear that you guys recommend to keep the saturated fats below 10 percent of your daily calories which is close to what the AHA recommends. I really don't understand why people bash on low saturated fat diets just because they might be higher in omega 6 content especially when considering plant based sources such as grains.
@29:45 should be cut into a smaller clip because it was a really good answer. I especially like what Dr. Baraki had to say
What about coconut oil in regards to saturated fat?
Is he really drinking alcohol? Hysterical!
What's more effective / ideal?
Training 4 days a week: Mon, Wed, Fri, Sat?
Or
Training 4 days a week: Mon, Tue, Thurs, Fri?
No reliable difference between the two.
I used to do 18 sets squats a week split in two workouts with varying rep ranges and pause squats on one of the workouts, but all of that volume did not get me stronger than the 5/3/1 Jim Wendler program and I have no idea why, i'm fuming about that. Do you have any idea as to why that is?
Maybe intensity combined with volume was slightly above recovery capacity. Maybe try reducing to 10 sets per week and increase one set at a time only if needed.
Question: If you need to constantly increase the volume to make more gains over time, are you guys doing like 15 sets bench etc per workout?
I think the most I've ever done in a workout is ~ 10 sets for a single movement, but we typically just program more frequency/exposures over the course of the week. That said, you do not need to linearly increase volume over time forever. It looks more like a staircase.
@@BarbellMedicine So how much do you do?
Any advice on building a home gym in a garage with cement flooring that isn’t level? Is it dangerous to squat and deadlift on slightly un level flooring? Is there a good solution?
You can probably Jimmy Jack something to make it work. Some self leveler if there isn't some dangerous, structural reason your floor is uneven. Then put a piece of subflooring down and horse stall mats on that. Deadlift platform done
I replied to your comment on IG for this one, but to clarify- it's not dangerous, though I would prefer to build a platform and shim it if it's way uneven. That said, the slope in most garages is fine. I just don't like my barbell to be rolling around on the floor because I have OCD.
Barbell Medicine thank you so much for the reply! You guys are my favorite source for fitness advice!
I suppose i should be more understanding about the idea that Feigenbaum and Baraki are probably being all heroic and doctor-y right now. But I'm petty and weak.
So I want updaaaaaaatteess!!

One day we're all gonna die, and things are gonna be just fine 24:25
I am an American football player living in Berlin Germany. I coach high school age kids in the gym. I am currently 4 weeks into your Bridge Program. I have been lifting for a long time and have done all types of programs and I really have enjoyed the benefits I have got from your program as a 33 year old who didnt think he could get stronger. Clearly I was confused for a long time about what strength is and how to get there. Would you be interested in checking out the videos on my channel? I film every work out, which is something i never really did before.
