Yes, neonatal nurse practitioner is in my view.
I graduated a couple of weeks ago and I begin my 1st role as Level IV NICU Nurse in a level I pediatric trauma hospital. You can’t tell me NOTHING! 😂 Sike, but NICU has been a passion since my I birthed my own NICU baby 24 years ago. This will be my 2nd career. Followed my interest the 1st time and although successful, I’m following my ❤this time around. SO glad to have found your channel! Next stop is NNP but for now it’s becoming the best NICU RN that I can possibly be. Looking forward to more videos, maybe some on NICU nursing as well? That would be great but whatever you post that’s neonatal related, I’m sure to watch. Congrats and good luck on your journey!

@@NurseJoy- I was in a rush to reply earlier. I will be starting in the NICU at the end of the month in San Antonio. We are expected to have stethoscope, scrubs, etc on the 1st day of orientation (residency program). Do you have any suggestions on a quality infant stethoscope? Also important things to have as a grad nurse starting residency program? Hope I’m not asking for too much. Thanks again!!
@@ms.deflorimonte1690 First Congratulations!!! Second, that is interesting because all 3 of the NICUs I have worked at provide a stethoscope to each patient. In the NICU we like each baby to have their own equipment. The stethoscope that all the hospitals use is the Littmann Classic I have it linked in my Amazon storefront under nursing things. If You have these questions I'm sure others do too I will make a video!
Can a working nurse from a different specialty sign up to shadow NICU or is it for students only? And how do you find NICU nurses to shadow in Houston?
You just have to contact the hospital you want to visit. Each hospital has different rules.
