This has truly helped me out a lot . I’m going to be a senior in high school next year and always wanted to be RN. And I know going to a community college first will be easier for me then getting my ADN first while working and trying to get my bachelor’s degree at the same time I will be my best route for me . Thank you!❤️
Nursing is a career that I chose and I love it. You started young as a nurse. You can have longer time to earn those compound interest greater than the person who starting late. Great choice on choosing nurse right after high school.
This is the most informative and straight to the point video that i’ve ever watched today😭 tysm, i will be in college in the Fall and I honestly considering BSN or something related to the med field
Thank you so much! This really helped, currently a senior in high school and just trying to figure out how I want to do everything, and this really helped!! I am thinking of going to community college and getting my associates degree, then working and getting my bachelors online!!
Omg I have been looking for a video like this for so long. It was so informative. She talks about the most cost effective way to become a RN and what classes you should take as a highschooler trying to get into a nursing program. I’m a rising junior taking a dual enrollment class per semester and I have no idea what class I should take next. Thank you for answering all of my questions!
I needed this !! I'm starting to really get an idea of what I want to do as a junior. This really helped because they don't really explain this stuff out.
thank you so much for this video! I’m currently taking pre reqs @ my community college and can’t decide if I should transfer to a four year to get the BSN or stay at the college and get my associates in the program, great video!!!
Keep your grades up in community and try to get into the associates program!!😄 if it's too competitive and you somehow arent able to get in, then look at your options to get into a BSN program at a university!😊 glad this video helped!!
I’m currently just a freshman in high school but I’ve always been interested in the medical field ever since I was a small kid. Im definitely considering being a NP (specifically a FNP). This video helped me clear confusion (even though college is like years away lol) but thank youuuu
Loveeee this video!! I’m a freshman in college right now and I was really looking into dental hygiene but I just feel like nursing is just calling me!! So ofc I’m changing my pathway and I’m really looking for so much information right now 💖
I've always wanted to work in the medical field. Over the years, I've really been intrigued by nursing and OB nursing in particular. I'm applying to my community college's ADN program in the spring, then after that I will branch over to BSN. I've been watching your videos since they primarily pertain to L&D and they are eye opening and only validate my dream of working in L&D. All while working part time and two kiddos!
Im a junior in hs & I’m still kind of confused so when I graduate I just apply to a 4 year college and choose prerequisites as my classes for the first two years and then the next two years I take nursing classes? Or do I apply to the nursing program of that college?
You choose your degree as "Nursing" or "Prenursing" depending on what the college asks for. You then get placed and assigned in the prerequisites automatically, and you get to choose which classes you want during which semester with your Nursing Advisor. Then you apply to nursing school the semester before you begin it.
Thank u Romi for such a great video! I live in Texas too n had my eyes set on TAMUCC BSN for the longest time .... but then they expected me to pay $400 for books for these 2 entry nursing classes before official admittance into the program which I was so appalled about. This lead me to just consider my local community college bc I know they cant charge their students this much for books because they're not a known brand school. This is an extremely helpful video. I wished I had stumbled upon this when I had graduated a year ago from high school like you're absolutely right when u said we're all RNs at the end of the day regardless of what route. I am hoping to get my phlebotomy and medical assisting license now so that I can work while getting an ADN. Btw, you're soooo pretty!
I love this for you!! And yes, in the end you are a nurse (and most likely with less debt 😉). Community college is the way to go and I wish I had made that decision so I wouldn't be stuck with these loans. Thank you for your kind words, and good luck you got this ❤️
I’m a senior graduating in a month and then going to a community college, I get two years free courtesy of my school program so I’m going to take my prerequisites there and then they have a adn-rn nursing program.
Very helpful thank you! At my community college they have a program through the high school where you attend speaker meetings (6 total per year) and volunteer within the community for all 4 years of high school and you’d be able to go to college for free for an associates degree.
Such a good video. Really helped me pick my path since i am going to go to a community college and wasnt sure how to become a nurse. Thank you very much Im going to become a Guy nurse in California . My dream that i will co.plete
right now I go to a charter career school in Florida and im doing LPN program in highschool I want to start working right after high school so I was thinking the easier route would be a CNA and work my way up to a LPN and an RN but I'm not sure....
Hi, I recently just started my freshman year in High School, I’m 14, and I want to become a Registered Nurse in the Future. This video was really helpful and also I will join some clubs that will pro-sue my dreams.
Thank you for this video! I’m a senior in high school and graduate in 3 months and i’m planning on going to a community college near me but i’m honestly so confused i don’t know what classes to take, i want to become a nurse. Any way you can help me please?
Hey amber ! I also went to a community college at first . What I did was I majored in general science or you can major in biology /pre med. these majors allow you to take courses you need for nursing such as Anatomy I & II, Chemistry, Microbiology, Psychology, Sociology, College algebra and statistics. Some schools may require nutrition and/ or patho. I plan to do a video about pre-requisites soon but I hope this helps you and good luck 😊
@@Amber-wg4cx for anatomy you want to take anatomy I before taking anatomy II. Pre reqs should take no more than two years . Then you can apply for ADN or transfer to get a bachelors degree and do accelerated BSN
@@Amber-wg4cx you’re welcome ! I believe in you! you got this 💕 if you have any questions feel free to hit me up on Instagram @thatnursevera or here on RUclips 💞
I am 17 years old, I graduated high school when i was 15. I finished my pre requisite classes for college and am going to take the HESI Nursing entrance exam to enter nursing school in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck!!!!!! After the exam, i will enter the nursing's program and study for 2.5 years and graduate from the program and hopefully get my license and work at clinicals and hospitals and be an RN Wish me luck people
A pediatric nurse? You don't have to go to nursing school specifically for that. Everyone nurse graduates with a just a nursing degree, and you apply to pediatric positions afterwards!
Hi! So let me get this straight, you have to take 2 years of prerequisites and then go into nursing school? You can’t just go straight out of high school?
Yes correct!! You need these prerequisites done before you can start taking nursing classes. However, you can take the classes as dual credit (if your hs offers them) and possibly go to nursing school right after, but this depends on your high school and what classes are offered!!
@@JariahNeondra if you are in high school yes, you will have to wait until you graduate to take these classes at a community college or university. Unless it is offered as dual credit at your high school
Don’t forget about the LVN/LPN route! You should do a vid on it too!☺️ (also some cc’s don’t require you to get a degree in nursing for the program, you can also just get your certification if you choose to!) 😁
Hi !! So I’m totally taking the recommended path, I just have a question. So the pre-requisite classes are building up to receive your ADN at the community college correct ? and once you receive your ADN you will take the NCLEX to become a RN ?? You don’t have to join any programs, you just take the pre-requisite classes and that is all ?
you take the prerequisite classes to enter a nursing program, whether that be ADN at a community college or BSN elsewhere. Once you complete either program, you take the NCLEX and become an RN!
Hello as you said to do your pre-Rex from community college and then do ADN and then become an RN . then your hospital will pay for your BSN. I’m not sure if it has any cons if I follow that route. Can you let me know how long it will take for me to complete my BSN after I am an RN thank you.
yes!! Exact same process and you will need a few years of experience as a nurse. I've never done travel nursing but I think it would be something so fun to do! And the pay is crazy good!
Can you PLEASE make a video about the schooling to become a post pardum nurse from like stuff to do in highschool If there is. And the classes you may need to take and after college do we need to go to nursing school? And after that how to get a post pardum nurse job or of we need to specify that we want to become a post pardum nurse when applying to a job. Or if we need to specify to the people at college or nursing school we want to become a post pardum nurse
hi what college did you go to? im so stressed about which school i should go to after high school, i’m so worried about doing the wrong thing so this video really helped a lot!
You should apply to the school that fits you best! I went to a small private college nearby. Honestly, it doesn't matter where you get your degree as long as you get it! 💪
Yes, it's about a year and a half of prerequisites, then 2 and a half years of nursing school if you're doing BSN. Or if you're doing ADN (associates) its 1 and a half years. All depends on what you're going for!!
Just o confirm the process: 1) graduate hs 2) prerequisites in community college 3) nursing school to get bsn degree? 4)pass NCLEX RN test For doing prerequisites in community college you mentioned nursing major( does that mean that your doing a nursing program while doing prerequisites for that program)? After nursing school do you get a BSN degree after you finished?
Hi there you pretty much got the process down!! When you declare yourself as a “nursing” or “prenursing” major your first year (names differ based on school you attend but mean the same thing), you are doing prerequisites as a nursing major but you are not necessarily in the program until you get accepted after completing the prereqs . It’s the same thing as calling yourself an education major but are still doing the prereqs before you enter the education program, etc. After nursing school you get your BSN, unless you applied to an ADN program and if you did you would get your ADN at the end. Hope that helps!!
Thanks for clarifying!! I did a little research and the nursing schools mostly offer rn to bsn programs, is it better for me to get into ADN then be in a BSN? Once I get accepted into the BSN nursing school is it 4 years to complete the degree, despite finishing prerequisites in a community college?
@@maylam8877 it’s better on whatever works for you and your plan. If you want to get your BSN straight away then that’s great, but if you want to get your ADN and work as an RN while obtaining your BSN online that’s great too! Keep in mind it will be harder to obtain a job, but still doable, if you only have your ADN. Once you get into a BSN nursing program it’ll be 2-2 1/2 years to complete your degree. If you’re starting at a university to take your prereqs+do the nursing program there it’ll be 4 years for everything.
I worked as a CNA (patient care tech since I didn’t have the license) after I completed fundamentals of nursing! You are allowed to work as one at most hospitals after you complete this course. I worked as a tech for 2 and a half years until I completed nursing school then began working as a nurse.
I’m an upcoming senior and I would like to go to college to become a registered nurse it’s my last year so I want to know what classes should I take to start off my path
I'm currently a freshman in high school & I've developed an interest in nursing. I was thinking about taking the route starting from a CNA- RN, & I wanted to know if I were to take my prereqs straight out of high school, do I enroll straight in a nursing program & then go on to get my ADN & then go get my BSN?
Yup you can enroll straight into a nursing program! You can enroll into either an ADN or straight BSN program. If you do the ADN, you can apply to a BSN online.
@@Romi_joy Oh ok. The reason I asked is because one of my college choices offer both ADN & BSN, & I was also confused as to how the nursing process goes. Thanks for your help. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
How do I become a nurse if I didn’t take any of the classes during high school I decided at the last moment to become a nurse and I can’t change my classes will I just take the classes I need at community and then go to nursing school?
Yes. Everyone in high school has the same high school curriculum overall, there are no extra classes you have to take to become a nurse in high school. These classes I posted are for college only, so yes you can take them at a community college and apply to nursing school afterwards.
@@sofiag4377 I believe high schools in the US offer AP classes or dual credit classes. Dual credit classes you just have to pass the entire course to receive college credit. AP classes, in the other hand, don’t have to do with passing the class but rather passing the AP test given to you at the end of the course in order for you to receive college credit.
Hi i have some questions! So I am deciding to go to community college and in that college you can get your associates degree in nursing , after getting that do I apply to a university? Or nursing school? 2. How many years does it take to graduate nursing school? I did not have the best grades in hs due to personal issues but I will graduate at the end of summer I’m just so confused and need guidance (which I thank you for making this video) I am really interested in working as a nurse as I found my purpose in this life haha. What do you think I should do?
After you get your associates degree in nursing you can work as a nurse at that point as you will have already gone to nursing school. That is what most people do at that stage and then you can do your bachelors online. It takes 2-3 years for an associates or 4 years for a bachelors (prereqs included). I think if nursing is something you are passionate about that you should definitely go for it!! Work on your GPA this summer to bump up your overall GPA and apply apply apply!! You got this.
So I’m currently a senior in high school. I’m thinking of going to a community college for 2 years to be a LPN and transfer to a university for RN. I don’t really know much about talking this route can you tell me your thought on this?
Are you referring to doing RN-BSN online ? If so yes once you get your associates degree, most hospitals will pay for you to go back and get your bachelors . You should let the hospital know at the time of your interview that you plan to go back for your BSN and they will give you information about tuition payment . I hope this answers your question . I may do a video on this soon as well. Feel free to subscribe to my channel so you don’t miss it .
Hi there!! So for my hospital specifically, we apply online through our work website and state what program we will be doing and submit the classes we will be taking, then they send us options for tuition reimbursement and pay us! It's usually a stipend of a maximum amount, mine specifically offers $4500 a semester! Of course this price varies per hospital.
Hi I’m not very smart and I don’t have straight As but I’m so fascinated by the body and I really want to be a nurse and it’s the only job I see myself doing g but I don’t know if I can do it
Hi there! You definitely do NOT need straight A's to become a nurse:) Just strive for the best grades you can, and NEVER tell yourself you're not smart, you most definitely ARE and you can do anything you put your mind to and work hard for :)
Hey, I am thinking of being in the nursing journey, what clubs and extracurricular activities would you recommend me doing throughout my high school years?
nope! as long as you have a high school degree. What matters is your prerequisites in college, and you also don't need biology as a nurse :) just anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and a few others I put in this video!
I want to do this so bad but I have no money to support my dream career which is to be an RN. I’m a junior in high school and time is running out for me. Ugh I feel hopeless
Hi, I have a few questions about the field of nursing. Although I am currently a sophomore in high school, I will graduate early as a junior. Do I just apply for Prerequisite Courses when I apply to universities, and acquire a job while attending those classes?
I am just seeing this video and I have questions. So you took your prerequisites and got your degree at the same college ? and you got the college experience and it took you 4 years total? I am a freshman in high school and I like to start planning early so I can get my prerequisites and my bsn in 4 years ?
It definitely depends on the state you're in and if you're going private or public, or community. If you're going to university, around $25-50k/year. Community college could be less than 10k for the entire program.
So I'm confused on what you major in when you want to apply to a college/university? Do you major in biology or is there a specific nursing major? Do you transfer to another institution after those 4 years or stay in the same school?
So I haven’t watched the video yet, I’m just scrolling the comments but I have a question. You said in the comments that you can get your ADN and start working then get your BSN while working. What if I go straight to school for my BSN, after two years can I start working? Just curious
I graduated rfom high school in may/june (due to COVID-19) and I will be attending a technical school (community college) in the fall to get my ADN. I have my head on straight. I felt like this was the fastest and cheapest way possible considering that tuition for a year at the tech school is not over $3,000 per year! I do have a question though, after I get my ADN and take the exam, pass, and start my career, is it mandatory that I attend nursing school? I will eventually get my BSN through the hospital.
So when you attend community you'll be doing 1-2 years of prerequisites ("pre-nursing) and apply to the nursing school program there offered through the college, that's how you will get your ADN. So pretty much you'll be in nursing school to get your ADN. Does that help?
@@franishae6658 gotcha I've just never heard of that. If you're in the ADN program right now you're pretty much already in nursing school, you'll be an RN after you take your test.
i always wanted to be a nurse , the thing is that , i sometime thought whether a nurse is a good choice or not cuz im not that good in that pure sciences (bio , chem , phy) .. i dont have any other choices .. so i wanna be a nurse ... should i apply for it ?
This helped me a lot, thank you!! Also, quick question, Do you think it would be cheaper if I decide to do the 4 year BSN at a university but before that apply for a scholarship?
It still wouldn't be cheaper than a community college unless you're getting a full ride or something near it. Universities are tens of thousands more expensive than community college, but it is up to each individual to decide what they want to do! :) If you want to go the university route, then apply for as many scholarships and grants as possible! See if family members will donate to your education. That's what I did when I went to university and ended up with less than 20k in student loan debt which is much lower than the average! 😊
I am going into senior year of high school and will be applying to universities to take prerequisites before applying to BSN programs. What major should I apply for colleges in order to complete all the prerequisites before a BSN program?
Im a senior in highschool and im planning on becoming a nurse. My guidance counselor barely helps me so this made it clearer thank you so much! I just have a question. Somone told me that i can go straight to nursing program right after high school? is that possible and if not, do i have to take prerequisite courses in college and then apply for a nursing program? (im planning on going the cheaper route )
Sorry for the late reply!! So you can't go straight into a nursing program without having prerequisites finished unless you did dual credit classes and finished them in high school. There may be nursing programs that are stand alone near you who, if you are accepted, offer the prerequisites and let you go straight into the nursing program right after.
I am going to ninth grade next year and I always wanted to be a nurse but I have some question about nursing if I go to nursing school do I have to go to college I’m getting really confused about that part. And if I go to nursing school do I get my BSN degree
Yes you'll have to go to a community college or university for prerequisites for nursing school. You can go to standalone nursing schools or attend one at a community college or university:)
Romi Joy thank you so much. So basically after finishing high school I have to attend a community college or University after That you go to nursing school.
so before you started college you applied for the school and chose nursing as your major and then applied to nursing school all before you went to college or you applied for the 4 year bsn program while in college
I applied to the school and got accepted, then chose nursing as my major. About a year and a half in my last semester of prereqs I was able to apply to the nursing school at my university (which they only offered a 4 year BSN but some schools offer both a BSN or an associates or ADN). Then I got accepted and started nursing school the semester after!
The 4 year BSN program included the prereqs. I did prereqs for the first year and a half, then applied to nursing school at my university for a total of 4 years.
I am a Sophomore in high school and I would like to become a pediatric nurse and in my school they let us do dual enrollment so this year in my junior I will be taking a college class which is psychology so I guess that’s good cause I can save money on that class
Hello 👋🏽 I’m watching your video, currently and it’s great! I had a question though for myself, I’m in my spring semester right now and when i originally applied to my college I wanted to do bio but then last minute I wanted to change to nursing. Long story short I didn’t get in for either but they did accept eventually but as undeclared. I still want to be able to get into the nursing school here but I’m completing prerequisites for just the core curriculum and they are all just math and a bunch of English and history classes. I’m going to apply for summer classes to take 1 more prerequisites so I can start taking more science classes. Do you believe it’s possible for me to switch into the nursing school at my university and actually graduate on time in 2024 ?
yes! If you are taking summer classes to get all of your prerequisites out of the way its definitely possible. see what classes you can take during the summer that required to enter the program first and try to take those asap! The ones you can take later while you're in the program can wait.
Thank you! Currently I can’t take any nursing prerequisites until I take college algebra this summer, but once I finish I’ll make sure to get those other nursing prerequisites!
the high school i might be going is an early college where I would get my associates in science and my diploma so what would I be able to do with that.
You can do a lot of cool things like become a dental hygienist or web developer!! Check out this link I found that has a lot of jobs listed :) tallo.com/blog/associate-of-science-degree-jobs/
so becoming a nurse after high school does not actually take 2 years after highschool. because you have to take some classes and then do a nursing program at the school. is this correct?
It varies, you can get into nursing school right after high school if you have the prerequisites done from dual credit classes. Or you can do classes over the summer and fall/spring/winter semesters at a community after you graduate high school and finish in less than a year. But typically, if you go to a university and follow the fall/spring curriculum you finish prereqs in 1 and a half years. Then you can get your ADN in a year or BSN in 2 years. Just depends on how fast you can do nursing prereqs.
Hi! I know I'm a bit late and all, but I'm a sophomore in hs and I'm taking dual enrollment classes to get my pre reqs. I was just wondering what are the pre reqs for nursing school/programs?

Do you think it’s a good idea to get my bachelors in health science and then enroll in a accelerated BSN program, or should I just change my major to nursing? Hi im currently a senior in high school and i would like to get my BSN and im kinda confused about what route i should take? If i finish my ADN after 2 years at a community college can i apply at a hospital as RN and start working? and get my BSN while working at that hospital?
Hello I have SAT’s coming up and right now I’m in an LPN program at my high school (I’m a junior). I called around to a few nursing programs (at public 2 year college) for the RN and they do not look at SAT scores. We’re you asked about SAT scores? Do they really matter?
My nursing school specifically did not ask for SAT scores, just the university I applied and got accepted to when I was applying to colleges. Nursing schools mostly look at the TEAS test
@@Romi_joy thanks it really means the world to hear those words . people around me made fun of my choice to major in nursing . but deep down l know that l need to follow my heart.

I’m a junior in hs, so when I graduate, I apply for the prerequisites needed and once I’m finished other courses, I apply for my nursing program (BSN). Once I get my degree, do I start applying for a job?
Maybe Someone Can Answer this for me. So when I Turned 20 I went to EMT School for the year. It didn't require any previous classes to get accepted into the program, Just a High School diploma. I just turned 25 last month and am now wanting to get my RN. So my question is, do I have to take "core" classes? Whats the difference between core classes and pre reqs? If so, how long would it take for me to do core classes then the pre reqs? Thanks!
They could mean the same thing. Are those core classes the same as the prereqs I listed and did you take them at a college? If so, then your answer is yes and they are transferable if the school allows. Then you would just have to take the prereqs you haven’t taken yet as a core class.
You need to work as a nurse for 1-2 years before become a travel nurse. This means you have to finish the nursing program and apply to nursing jobs that aren't traveling related.
This has truly helped me out a lot . I’m going to be a senior in high school next year and always wanted to be RN.

A pediatric nurse? You don't have to go to nursing school specifically for that. Everyone nurse graduates with a just a nursing degree, and you apply to pediatric positions afterwards!

Do you recommend getting your associates and than apply online to get a Batchelor ?
yes!!!
Romi Joy my school doesn’t offer them do I have to wait until I graduate to take the 2 years or prerequisites?
@@JariahNeondra if you are in high school yes, you will have to wait until you graduate to take these classes at a community college or university. Unless it is offered as dual credit at your high school
Don’t forget about the LVN/LPN route! You should do a vid on it too!☺️ (also some cc’s don’t require you to get a degree in nursing for the program, you can also just get your certification if you choose to!) 😁
that's an awesome idea!! And great information! Thank you 😃
What about Teas test
You take it before you start nursing school, sometime in your last semester of prerequisites
@@Romi_joy can I take the prerequisites at a community college, and then transfer to a university to get my BSN ?

Is I the same process if I want to become a travel nurse? And do you have any tips on being a travel nurse.
yes!! Exact same process and you will need a few years of experience as a nurse. I've never done travel nursing but I think it would be something so fun to do! And the pay is crazy good!
Can you PLEASE make a video about the schooling to become a post pardum nurse from like stuff to do in highschool If there is. This video is so very helpful. Thank you. 💜
Yay!!! I'm so glad it helped!! ❤️
Hi, so after I take my 2 years of prerequisite classes after high school, then I go straight to nursing school for how long? I’m kind of confused 😩
Yes, it's about a year and a half of prerequisites, then 2 and a half years of nursing school if you're doing BSN. Or if you're doing ADN (associates) its 1 and a half years. All depends on what you're going for!!
Romi Joy thanku💗, but after this I would become a registered nurse?
@@briannaboateng2067 yes!!! After the program you take the NCLEX and pass to become a registered nurse!
Just o confirm the process:
1) graduate hs
2) prerequisites in community college
3) nursing school to get bsn degree?
4)pass NCLEX RN test
For doing prerequisites in community college you mentioned nursing major( does that mean that your doing a nursing program while doing prerequisites for that program)?
I’ll be choosing my classes this week so I was wondering when did you do the CNA program?
*Also if you were able to get any work with a CNA?
I worked as a CNA (patient care tech since I didn’t have the license) after I completed fundamentals of nursing! You are allowed to work as one at most hospitals after you complete this course. I worked as a tech for 2 and a half years until I completed nursing school then began working as a nurse.

@@Romi_joy You can only get your BSN online after you get your ADN?

Yes as long as its dual credit and it counts towards a degree!

How do you take pre-reqs in high school?
@@sofiag4377 I believe high schools in the US offer AP classes or dual credit classes. Dual credit classes you just have to pass the entire course to receive college credit.
@@Romi_joy thank you so much!! This means a lot!!! I will work my hardest^^🤍

So I’m currently a senior in high school. I’m thinking of going to a community college for 2 years to be a LPN and transfer to a university for RN. I don’t really know much about talking this route can you tell me your thought on this?
That's a great route! There are also LPN to RN bridge programs you can look for so you don't have to spend so much at a university :)
I'm a sophomore in high school. How exactly would you ask your hospital for money to get your BSN online? Do you fill out an application online?

Of course this price varies per hospital.

i have a question. i missed my chance to take biology in high school. does it matter if i take it or not?
nope! as long as you have a high school degree. What matters is your prerequisites in college, and you also don't need biology as a nurse :) just anatomy and physiology, nutrition, and a few others I put in this video!
Romi Joy THANK YOU, U JUST LIFTED 500 POUNDS OFF MY CHEST
Big Oof haha glad to hear that!!
I want to do this so bad but I have no money to support my dream career which is to be an RN. I’m a junior in high school and time is running out for me. Ugh I feel hopeless
try the community college route! Apply for loans and look for as many grants as you can. You can do it! Don't give up on your dreams!
Yes to all of your questions!!
@@Romi_joy do you mind me asking what college you went to ?
@@Romi_joy and also how did you apply
How much do nursing programs or nursing school cost?
Once you get your BSN you can work right after you pass your NCLEX
I know im late, but, can i go straight to study BSN ?
Does that help?
the school offers the ADN though. After my 2 years i would get the Degree and do the bridge option in their school if I wanted to
@@franishae6658 oh so you're entering straight into nursing school from high school? You dont have to take a TEAS test?

If you're going to a university, major in nursing! (or pre-nursing if that is the only option)
You don't have to get a BSN, you can get an ADN (associates) or LVN (1 yr of school)

Hi can we do ADN first then BSN? And if we do ADN then can we get a job so we can save money for doing BSN. An a CRNA is done after BSN right?
Yes to everything you said! You got it
Hi, can i take philosophy instead of sociology?
That's definitely something for your advisor (or advisor for the school you'll be applying to)!! All schools are different in what they accept.
I am a Sophomore in high school and I would like to become a pediatric nurse and in my school they let us do dual enrollment so this year in my junior I will be taking a college class which is psychology so I guess that’s good cause I can save money on that class
ahhh nice that is amazing!!
With an associates in science you can work in medical labs . It is also a great degree to have when pursuing biology, pre med, or nursing
You can do a lot of cool things like become a dental hygienist or web developer!! Check out this link I found that has a lot of jobs listed :) tallo.com/blog/associate-of-science-degree-jobs/
@@Romi_joy can I become a dental hygienist even though I’m majoring in nursing?
so becoming a nurse after high school does not actually take 2 years after highschool. because you have to take some classes and then do a nursing program at the school. is this correct?
It varies, you can get into nursing school right after high school if you have the prerequisites done from dual credit classes. Or you can do classes over the summer and fall/spring/winter semesters at a community after you graduate high school and finish in less than a year. But typically, if you go to a university and follow the fall/spring curriculum you finish prereqs in 1 and a half years. Then you can get your ADN in a year or BSN in 2 years. Just depends on how fast you can do nursing prereqs.
How bout if I took sociology and psychology my senior year in highschool?

They could mean the same thing. Are those core classes the same as the prereqs I listed and did you take them at a college? If so, then your answer is yes and they are transferable if the school allows. Then you would just have to take the prereqs you haven’t taken yet as a core class.
Dude are you in providence village Texas ?
So if I want to do travel nursing I’d do a 2 year nursing program and transfer to a what ?im a little confused
You need to work as a nurse for 1-2 years before become a travel nurse. This means you have to finish the nursing program and apply to nursing jobs that aren't traveling related.
@@Romi_joy thank you so much 😊
