Great idea to look ahead in advance! I didn’t realize I wanted to become a nurse until late into my senior year of high school. Definitely wish I had done a lot more preparation 🤓 Congrats on 2,000 subs Tricia!!!

About Pre-Nursing, since you are taking a pre-requisite what if your college doesn’t have a nursing program what degrees would you recommend also can you still take the test after two years in pre nursing? Great video, please let me know if you need better explanation to my question

gpa isn’t everything to top universities, especially now. a lot of them are mainly looking at essays, extracurriculars, maybe test scores, and community service. although going to a cc first then transferring can save you lots of $$

    Thank you for the info
I am 38 years old. I haven't applied/ gone to school for nursing like I could/should have the last couple of years because I wasn't sure about degree types or how to go about applying. I only have a few college credits.
Am I too old to go to school for nursing? I am an aide right now but I want to have a career more in the medical field. I also haven't been able to go to school for nursing because of certain things that happened in life but now I can. The GPAs I had in school so far were good.
I just worry about my age. Are there people in school for nursing that are in their late 30's?

hi! i recommend going back to school for your BS in Nursing. You can do an accelerated program (aBSN) or do the masters route. It's up to you in terms of how many years you want to spend in school and how much money you want to spend for school. Pass with your entry level masters or bachelors in nursing then study for NCLEX. once you pass nclex you become an RN. you can apply straight to a NICU after. While in school, I recommend you do NICU clinicals either for your senior preceptorship/internship or find a way to volunteer in the NICU. this makes you a more competitve applicant for NICU. you can also do a nurse externship while in school (it's a volunteer program meant for nursing students to rotate through different depts to help them get more insight in different depts.)
