Do not remove the red insulator on the positive terminal until after the negative terminal has been removed. It is there to stop the tools you are using from short circuiting the terminals.
I learned this the fun and blinding way.

Good video thanks for the instructions. Fun tip don't buy the walmart batteries for this, it is the right size but doesn't provide enough voltage for the car to immediately start up.
Thank you triple A came out to my home took my car to the car care center because apparently they didn't have the proper size battery for my vehicle when they came to my call they still has my vehicle n this seems simple and I'm frustrated for the future I'll be changing my own.
How come no one doing these videos shows how to reset the BMS after???

Or you have a battery drain? It's called a parasitic drain. There's lots of videos on RUclips on how to diagnose that

Top Tip! Remove your metal banded wrist watch first! Thats a bad burn
What size is that little tool you used to unscrew them bolts
10mm for the post nuts, 8mm for the battery hold down screw.

I have a 2011 Ford Edge suv I charged my battery and put it back in, my car lights come on I can press the start button but you can hear a clicking sound in the engine, it doesn’t start either. Does someone know anything??

You did a terrible job of cleaning the battery terminals. Your fully equipped garage needs to buy a round wire brush. A pocket knife is what you use on the side of the road, not in a professional repair shop. I feel sorry for the owner of that vehicle.
