I’m Alex Etches, a golf professional and golf RUclipsr. If you don’t know me, I started playing golf at 10 years old, turned professional at 22 in the UK, and have been creating entertaining and informative golf content on different platforms for the last 10 years. My home is now AUSTRALIA and I hope to take you around some of the best golf courses from down under.
On this channel, you can expect many fun golf reviews, golf vlogs and many other videos. From testing out some crazy golf clubs to the latest product releases which includes TaylorMade, Callaway, Cobra, Mizuno, Titleist, and many more...
I also do lots of traveling and will bring you along the journey with me. With Golf Vlogs from the UK, US, and many other locations it never gets boring on tour with #TEAMAL!
Anyway, enough about me - If you’re new to the channel, or have been with #TEAMAL for a while, write a message down in the comment section and say Hi!
AL, you are my favorite personality on RUclips - the quirky banter, great swing - all of it. Not sure why everyone else isn't on board - yet, but compared to some other channels (Brits for sure) you are completely entertaining. RS, JR, et. al. are boring in comparison. Keep it up my man.
Agree would have 1M..
I tried the tsr line and was surprisingly fit for tsr4 driver in the 1k X flex shaft. I am a fairly decent player playing off 5.9 but I have always opted to the max forgiveness driver that manufacturers offered because hitting fairways is critical to scoring well. Also, my driver swing speed is only around 100mph with about 240 carry.
My fitter saw that I was delivering a bit too much loft and spin even after adjusting my gamer. After trying a few heads and shafts I was getting optimal spin and launch with the tsr4 and excellent dispersion as well. Since the spin was reduced poor strikes that were offline were much less offline. I would’ve never entertained that driver had I not gone for a proper fitting.
Same thing happened to me today. I was ready to be fitted in the tsr2, being a 15hcp. My spin was so high (7k rpm’s) I was fitted with the tsr4 and it reduced my spin down to 3k! Dispersion was loads better and I gained 30 yds carry.
Same for me too. I hit the tsr4 so much better than my tsi2.
New golf attire fashion as set by AL - Hoodie with right shirt collar out. Keep an eye out on the course for this next round you play.
TSR 4 on the course would be an amazing video ⛳
Gotta see you play this on the course
Oh my goodness. Please Al, don't ever change. Your videos literally make my day. Great job, mate.
Your easily
Pleased then and a cheap
Laugh
Did a fitting today and I’ll have my tsr 3 w/ventus black in just 2 weeks! Can’t wait
Al baby, I'm 72 (age, not handicap). When I grow up I want to hit a golf ball just like you do. Totally enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work.
Hey Al. Great video. It’d be great to see you go for a Titleist fitting and see what they put you in.
Maybe Al could do a video where he gets fitted for a club? Might be a fun watch.
@@zacharyadams3239 he did one a few years back with TXG at the golf show. It’s worth a watch.
Thank you for the graphic of a "bomb" at the beginning, because it sounded like you were asking if I was offended by dirty long high tasty bums.... which I am not by the way! lol!!! Not quite sure what a long high bum would be like in reality, but you have me curious now.
Cant wait for the head to head, and to see how you do with it on the course. Thanks Al!
You know what else we need to see is someone at cobra get this man the 5.5 degree LTDx with a 46 inch shaft.
Best equipment review channel on RUclips. I laugh and enjoy the banter. Question, is that the stock shaft? Is that driver straight out of the box? It looks to me as tho that combo is very smooth. Just enough kick! Thanks! New subscriber.
Can't wait to test out the TSR line on Friday. Drivers and Fairways...
I actually hit TSR3 longer, with lower spin than the 4. Glad to see I’m not the only one.
I recieved my Tsr4 a week ago and the Bombs are Real' .. I have the Bravia Bgt 54g S tipped been averaging 3 bills, played Green Valley County club yesterday an drove over the creeks on both par 5's , played Callipai in Pleasanton from the Blues, drove just off the right side off the green , putted for eagle made a 3 , drove the green on 8 for a 3... I had the Tsi4 loved it .. had some other drivers .. TSR4 is my favorite'
How much did you tip the Brava? I have one and am considering it…
@@Jus4kiks hey yea so I was paying it at 46' an tipped an inch I believe high deep bombs I believe my carries were around 290-295yd rolling out to 320's , I usually play X flex so I will say that your timing needs to be decent, I did end up cutting it down to 45' an got better control .. right this minute I am playing the Mitsubishi Rayon Chemical 40X pretty much bread an butter . .a touch shorter since it has less kick , I'm around 290-300 total but down the pipe .. but yea the Bravia is fun
@@sorcerycircus4090 Appreciate all the info. I am with you on that, brava is fun to carry 300+ but it can spray...
I just grabbed a TSR2 with a ventus black TR 7x playing 44.75 for a bit better control. May do a double driver setup or something, not too sure.
Mitsubishi Rayon Chemical 40X - is that 40g and also how do you like it, is it easy on the body to swing being that light and is it tough to time up or anything? I see the Mitsubishi Chemical Diamana GT 40 X Stiff it looks like around $350.00 for the shaft.
Yea I was getting same with the Bravia my miss wanted left' the head seems to kick forward really good but also wanted to turn over a bit , I really had to play it away to come back or had to squeeze it in at impact like a cut type motion, the GT-X40 not so much .. at 300 aiming point I'm really just aiming maybe 20ft right for somthing soft to come back and cutters take no effort.. but with said my Bravia is a Stiff and GT being X just works better for me .. also I do love my 4 I'm probably going to the TSR2 or possibly the P-430 , maybe a few yards shorter but center grid hits are nice lol ..
Great entertainment as always. Realy please you are displaying the correct measurement units for us who have only ever played golf in metres.
Great job as always Al, Would like to see it on course as well as a review against the Stealth +. That would be awesome.. great job again. #TeamAl
Great stuff. Maybe I could hit it 240. 😆
Im pretty sure you have split personalities. Love your videos.
I currently have the TS4 my buddy sold me after one season. I love it even with his being for higher handicap it’s very easy to eat and gets out there with effortless swing. Might see what is in the used bin at my local golf shop this winter
Tuned in for the review, stayed for the bombs 💣
I’ve been waiting for this one!🚀🚀🚀
Good stuff Al! I’m very happy with my cobra right now but this is a great looking club.
I have a cobra as well, but you should get a callaway epic max next 🔥
I set it up flat an open and switched weights..heavy in back
Only one King. Alexander Etches
i now want one of these. but i just bought a RADSPEED. I should do fine with the cobra though.
Bet you aren’t still playing that driver 😂
@@zarlodious1 no, I am not. The RadSpeed was not good for me. It was more inconsistent than my old cobra fly z. I am however playing a tour edge c723. It may not be the longest driver, but it is very consistent and straight even when I hit all over the face. Well worth the money for me.
Titleist king of clubs👑.
Been waiting for this one!
Sounds weird like balls made of metal. TSI4 had a wood thud quite explosive sounding.
Was the heavy weight forward or back in that test?
Hey Phil you guys can get a few more of the other stuff that you might need for the weekend if you’re not going on it for the weekend.
Courtesy of predictive text 😂
I hope you are gaming this one.
You should try flipping the weights around! Not sure if you had the heavier weight in the front but that would help you lower the spin even more.
I did mate: always do 👍🤘
@@alexetchesgolf Awesome! I couldn’t do the TSR4 at first but then I flipped the heavier weight to the back and it’s way more forgiving then TSI4 or TS4. Videos are great! You should do a review on the TSR2 + fairway. You could for sure hit that thing 300+.
@@snyderdan25 he hits every driver 300+ that’s not saying much
@@dadrifles no I’m talking about the 3+ fairway wood
2016 m2
how long do you guys replace a driver?I replaced my cobra forgetec on lenth iron set to titleist t100 last year, and now after saw your review i just considering replace my cobra sz driver to this beautiful black one
Al please do a review of the 8 degree head
Teabagged by the Rock,, brilliant.
I enjoyed TSR4 a lot, your model went further than mine though
he prob has more swing speed and he is more consistent its the indian not the arrow
@@snoopy3482 It was a joke
@@capifico2267 oh i thought you where being serious cause theres some people that buy the driver because someone else is using it and they hit 400 yard bombs thinking that there gonna do it too
Good shit Al
Surprisingly hitting the TSR2 further...maybe that's why Mattie games the 2.
So what your saying is that this Titliest specimen could be a “Charlie”? 👑 👍
Al, next time, take of that tip layer you were wearing....it hurt your swing fluidity.....:P
Why didn't you swap the weights? Make it a 3.5.
Which shaft did you used to test the TSR4?
AL.. which one do you prefer for forgiving driver, Stealth or TSR?
Just my humble opinion would be the cobra F9 driver as you could probably get one for $150-$200 dollars these days. Neither stealth or tsi are as forgiving as the cobra f9 and are more than double the price. Hope that helps, have fun!!!
I don't understand why you don't have 1million subscribers
Are all those drives hit off the deck?
You need to be on the PGA tour, everyone thinks Tiger Woods was good, if you get out there, you would never lose a Tournament! And you are hilarious!
Tiger was hitting these bombs with a steel shaft and a 43.5 playing length, not to mention very outdated head technology. Tiger in his prime with this tech would be absurd and well further. But then his real magic was in his iron shaping, which was second to none. Btw, Jack could hit absolute bombs as well. With this tech he'd be well further too.
You are 3 feet taller than James robinson
Come on Al!! Where did you learn to spell? Pours??? I think you mean Pores lol🤣🤣. Love your videos though. Bomb away big chap, bomb away 😁🏴
Only King Cobra is "King"
It's pours?
Would love to be able to hit this one. I'm more of a balls all over the face kinda guy. Make the most of the £529 price tag
Phrasing?
Tur-bellendence
So, I'm guessing Titleist is paying youtubes to make some content and say how great their new driver is.
To be fair anytime there is a new driver you will see a bunch of videos for them.
You think? But isn't that what "influencers" are for?
@@stevenc9207 Not sure I don't watch any. But I watch lots of guys like Al and they all do videos on the clubs when they come out.
If you already have the TSI 4 You would have to be out of your mind to spend 600 plus dollars for a couple of steps, Use it on getting lessons. Just a thought !!!
Just mashing golf balls…always. Get some.
Noticed the red light on the face of the Titleist TRS 4. Referring to hotness or redness regarding no carbon face needed. Ah subliminal........mind games......suggestive redirect......have no idea what I am talking about🤪
Hello hello hello hello hello… anybody home?
TSR3 was better imo love ya vids though Al
Sadly I am not man enough for that driver. TSR2 for me.
Knock the driver down to D1 make it a 8 degree and my god 🥴 there’s your 360-370 bomber right there my friend
pores* :)
Al, Kevin in Indy here, for those of us who want to be completely tuned in to your schtick, can you do a RUclips “short” explaining the Brenda references? Is she the “birthing parent” (we Yanks are going full woke over on this side of the Pacific) of your beautiful daughter? Thanks, mate.
This comment is so dumb. Look back at his older videos - don’t ask him to make a new one when he’s been talking about something for the entirety of his channel. Also, “full woke” and introducing yourself in a RUclips comment is SO on-brand.😂
I’m first!
Too stealth..
You used the wrong word, it's pores, not pours.
That’s all you got from the video? We all make typos mate 😂
@@alexetchesgolf That's it, I shut it off as soon as I saw that. 🤣
Very tinnie sound... not the best sound in the world.
Yah absolutely rubbish drives, 350 yards, pfft...😂👀 what
Does it return the ball at more than 81%? No,otherwise it would be illegal, the ONLY difference between all these heads,is the shaft. ALL heads return the ball at 81%,so other than a slightly larger MOI,and if any one head was better than every other head, every single pro on tour would be using it.
Yeah the COR has been limited for almost 20 years.
STEAalth are much better
This has to be the most booring looking driver I´ve ever seen in my 10+ years of golfing. Geeez!
Lol titleist are really trying hard to promote this driver, every RUclipsr I follow has done a video on this. I can’t see how it’s worth spending 600 on this when the improvements will be so minuscule compared to the previous TsI which is now half the price, not worth it in my opinion
Not sure what you mean. It’s my job to review clubs. It has nothing to do with Titleist.
May be worth it for someone and not others
Grip it and RIP it!
