I just installed these in my 2013 550i the other day. Bass is Way more noticeable prior to the 12hr break in period they have.
I installed these in my M2 about six months ago. Bass is cleaner and tighter than stock, which has enabled me to up the bass in the EQ to get a better sound. No, this will not shake your mirrors and is not a substitute for a trunk subwoofer - which is my next move.

looks pretty simply with your video, but in my 2018 f83, the subwoofer is below the front mat, no need to remove the seat.
Just add an aftermarket amp to the stock subs and will sound much better and cleaner than what those subs

Dang that’s crazy I was thinking about getting subs and an amp but if this increases the bass to give me that extra thump I might just do this lol and I don’t have to splice into any wires to connect converter to amp

I’d like to install these on rear arm rests of some classic cars. I know these are made specifically for a handful of makes. Is this possible?
I have the BavSound upgrades in my E46 and E70. Haven’t done my F80 yet but I will. When you first turn it on it’s a little underwhelming but after a week or so, when the speakers break in the sound changes completely. The subs seem to benefit the most from the break in period. It’s a very clean balanced sound from these speakers.
That's awesome to hear cuz they already sound amazing if they start to sound even better thats 🔥! I just haven't driven the car much and listened cuz of the whole COVID-19 next week maybe I'll drive it to work more. I've been daiying the E36 and loving driving that it's come along so well and handling is now spot on.

Changing the AMP does more that speaker membranes.
re route the wire to an external amplifier, then run it back to the subs under the seat (dont buy BavAudio) kicker, SWS, or match subs that fit in that locating and it will be much louder and way cheaper than those underwhelming overpriced Bav speakers. I did that to mine and love how loud it bumps.

I'm curious how these sound compared to the other under-seat subs on the market (Earthquake, Audison, Rainbow, Rockford Fosgate, etc). I'm looking to upgrade my subs soon as well.
The Bavsound woofers for HK comes in 8 ohm version, which is higher impedance than the standard HK woofers (i.e. they drain less power from the amp). On the other hand, most of the others come only in 4 ohm version, which equals to double the power compared to the stock woofers. You can hit the amp protection due to overheating and shorten the amp lifespan, but any 4 ohm replacement from reputable brand are way more powerful for this reason. The "doubled bass" from Bavsound is not true, as some other things (e.g. as far as I know, no reputable brand managed to get as low as claimed 20 Hz for Bavsound, while playing in this tiny open underseat box). In terms of sound quality, Bavsound is certainly an upgrade. But, as you might expect, companies as Audison, Focal, RF or the smaller high-quality manufacturers as AD or German Maestro are well-known for what they are doing.
What’s kind of subs are they ? I have a 2016 740.. the subs look similar to yours, are they the same size?

Just a note since you didn't mention it on your settings at the beginning of the video...the bass turned up alone is very weak. The equalizer needs to be adjusted on top of the bass with the 100hz brought up really bringing the bass to life.

I wish Ford and Sony had chosen something more like this for the bass section of their design instead of just tossing some 6x9s into the rear deck.
My father in law would say you're mad for not wanting this upgrade plus a custom box in the back. He is rocking 4 DC audio 8" with 2400w pushing them in his accent. Should possibly upgrade the amp for those guys. They probably can use it.
Haha yeah I do like bass but I also like a clean looking car and all of my trunk space. Its really nice to just have OE+ upgrades that do it for you and make it better without the look at me factor.
@@BlakesGarage I agree I'm not as over the top, but my father in law is about sound quality vs really pounding it all the time. Now his son is all about the quality and the db ratings. Lol I'm going to be putting a decent system in my e30. But I already have everything besides a custom made box that will sit behind a strut tower brace, and a 4 channel for my zapco components.

I need to drive the car more they sound great already but I’ve probably only driven the car for like 3hr since. I’m absolutely loving it so far though.
I really hope that’s the case. I just installed the entire system... bavsound mids/tweeters/subs/amp. I definitely notice that it’s louder/clearer and slightly more bass but nothing mind blowing at all.

Nice video and thanks for sharing. I could only see this being a slight improvement over the HK system. If you are listening to music over BT or any compressed format there will be little gain. Now if you listen to any uncompressed format I could see this being a little better.
How can you listen to uncompressed music on a stereo that doesn't receive uncompressed audio? You have an uncompressed source you're hooking through hdmi? Lol

Real bass comes from a 50 liter box in the back, not from the underseat low end woofers.
For my 135i with Base Sound System, those Ghost speakers are over $500. A bit expensive taking in consideration is not even including a cover plate. But I understand the company is selling a product for a BMW!!
The whole idea of the system is that it looks OE and fits to perfection. It’s honestly not a bad price by any means for a high quality upgrade. It’s definitely worth every penny.
Blake's Garage I understand your point 100%. Don’t get me wrong, but the could had thrown an aluminum or plastic plate to cover the speakers and carpet edges. Not that everyone will look at them even in an autoshow or car meet, 😂 but I guess it looks more professional. They can even add a free stiker with the buying of their product, which they sale for around $35!! The tool kits are not a bad investment. Tools are always important.
JMC Cars N More yeah I just mentioned the grill thing as a option that would be cool but they would definitely charge extra for something like that. Just think of the stoker thing like this you save more by being able to make the kit yourself. That way they can pass the saving down to you on the components that matter.

It actually is that much better. You can never tell audio difference through a video. I’m absolutely loving the upgrade it’s night and day.

Well I bought mine new in 2018 so I didn’t get a deal but lots of people now are grabbing them for pennies on the dollar. Not sure about the G82 if it’s ugly AF with the new grill I probably will not get it and may just grab another car or truck.
