I think it was important from the perspective of the script for Laila's character to be an enigma. I have often dwelled on whether it would have been better if they didn't write her back into the third act, and made Arjun seek her as his promise if he lived. She does come across as a hotter version of Sadhguru at times, but for most parts, it works.

ZNDM, Dil Chahta Hai, all these films are good, because you get to vicariously experience these aspirational adventures and life with the characters. Film is a distraction from your real life. You don't give audience relatable stuff, otherwise why would they watch a film? You sell aspirations, you sell hope, you take a *relatable* concept like friendship, love, romance and make it larger than life. That is a film.
Its not at all relatable. Thats why I was not watching it but just finished this movie. And definitely one of the best movies. I mean mai kabhi apne state se bahar nahi gaya, most of the time apne city me hi raha hu. But not everything should be relatable right. I loved farahans poetry in between the scene.
