One of the most underrated bands of the 90's. Glad they're back and they sound great.
They could have been huge, but i'm selfishly glad they weren't?
I was at this show. Thank you for recording and posting this. 👍
It was a special one!
Loved these guys when Slip came out. I used to blast "Too Official" in my car every time it came up on the cd. I wore out this album along with Helmet's Meantime.
Helmet and Quicksand weren’t classics that defined the era for sure! Both bands are active again!
Amazing show, saw them first time around when they released Slip. This Time with my 18 year old son and family! Great show with an old school pit and hardcore crowd in attendance!
What a fun night to bring the family! Over early too👊
@@thejondohhshow I was back home and in my pajama pants before my wife and daughter got home from a birthday party. It was awesome, haha. I'm so old...
Quicksand.....With Brodsky!!!!!! Feckin' epic!
They sound so re-energized with Brodsky on stage🤘
@@thejondohhshow I saw them on KEXP RUclips and was stoked to see that here and there he seems so into it too.
@@thomascoleman7396 I just watched that video this morning. Sounded great. I also have tix to see them twice on the next tour🤘
I found this album when I was in my late teens and had no idea how many people knew about it besides me, I would show older music friends this album & they hadn’t heard it before, so I always just enjoyed this album as a lucky find, never knew what impact if any it had outside of my world. Super stoked to see them playing this material years later with plenty of people there to enjoy, this album has always been one that stuck with me & hits every time.
Glad you discovered them! I was lucky enough be there right from the beginning and stoked that they have come back to do it again. They still sound amazing even with some line-up changes!
Please like and share the video and subscribe to the channel if you made it this far! Thank you! ruclips.net/channel/UCIRzOW7HUFXCpMyTXEJzzZA
legendary thanks for posting! saw them about 10 years ago now, as a crusty gen Xer it was wild to see gen Z people in there singing along too. classic band.
Thanks for watching. Quicksand has been one of my favorites to revisit for over 30 years now…..jeez. Time flies!
Thank you for posting this. I freaking love this band....always have, always will.
Thank you for watching! Hopefully, the Quicksand/Hot Water Music tour will be going near you next year?
Had tickets but couldnt make it to this show thanks for recording
Glad you got to check it out anyway!
Saw them in NYC, one of the best sets I’ve seen. SO much energy from all the members
They put on an amazing show! So cool to see.
This was an awesome show. After Colossus they played Thorn in My Side, Landmine Spring, and Delusional. Thanks for uploading!
They tricked me when they came back out! I had already moved to the back, lol.
Not just the fact that they play this magnificent album. But that Fryette amp on the left
It really did stand out. The sound was awesome. Helmet used a similar set-up when I saw them too!
@@thejondohhshow absolutely. The only difference -as far as I know - is that Helmet play Pittbulls, this seems to be a Deliverance. I'd love to buy one myself.
@@Nofarewell I am seeing them more and more in the wild. They sound great.
Amazing show!
It sure was!
Amazing show last night!
🤘😎
I had never seen some of those songs played live before! So awesome to see.
So rad. Stephen is a perfect fit.
Absolutely! I love everything he is in. Mutoid Man show is coming up soon for me too. That new record has been on repeat for me.
@@thejondohhshow Not to mention Cave In are still at it too! I am pretty much a fan of whatever Stephen or Walter do. Cheers!
@markmorrell3494 same! I'm getting the Brodsky triple play...just saw Cave In and Quicksand, Mutoid Man soon🤘
While I miss Tom on guitar, Steve Brodsky of CaveIn/Mutoid Man really injects a new level of energy in the band! First time I’ve seen them with Steve. Awesome stuff!
Yeah, they sounded great and energetic. Loved it!
Just got to see them again in AZ a few weeks back w/ HWM - amazing as always. It's always a better sounding QS when they have a 2nd GTR - but the 3 of them really do an amazing job sounding amazing as a 3-piece as well.
I will take them in any form I can get!
@@thejondohhshow where is the bass player?
Sergio is on the right, like always.
@@thejondohhshow he playing a guitar though
@stephen1098 that is his bass rig. I know, it's weird.
thank you for posting! . interesting seeing them perform slip at riot fest and watch people that did not know them react.
Interested to hear more about this. Do you mean youngsters who had never heard Quicksand got exposed live for the 1st time at Riot fest and liked it?
@@thejondohhshowyes. I was wearing that slip shirt with the pocket from the album release so had a few ppl ask questions about quicksand before they started. One person asked if he would like them if he liked deftones and Sergio walked out when he asked and I explained the connection. But yeah lots of younger fans ran over halfway through fazer. Was pretty great. Lots of ppl were saying this is too loud.
@@michaelnervOus Sweet! Bringing the generations together, one song at a time!
Fuck yes, this is awesome
Thanks for checking it out! They were great 🤘
So rad to hear baphomet live!
I’m pretty sure that was my 1st time hearing it live but I could be wrong? Saw them a whole bunch in the 90’s but obviously don’t remember setlists from back then.
I was at this show. F*kin' killer!
What an amazing show! They sounded so good.
Wish they'd bring back Tom
For nostalgia? Maybe....but it sounded incredible with this lineup
Hey, my LP copy of Slip has How Soon Is Now? on it. 😄
I have that one on a CD single from back in the day. I’m wondering if they just aren’t into supporting Morrisey in any way, shape, or form at this point? Even when he has good songs?
@@thejondohhshow Yeah, it's an awesome cover but Morrisey sucks as a person.
Was at that show last night. It was KILLER! Plus having Stephen Brodsky from fucking Cave In made it SO MUCH COOLER.
He ripped up there and it was awesome! I’ll be seeing him in both Mutoid Man and Cave-in this month. He gets around!
@@thejondohhshow He sure does get around. I love Cave In's album Jupiter, it was such different sound from their earlier stuff and it was so unique. I've had friends ask me to describe it and I was always like, "ummm, yeah, you just gotta hear it for yourself" lol! Enjoy the upcoming shows and upload em if you can.
@NandorTheRelentless76 definitely going to try! (Just a few songs each, I typically don't do whole sets. Slip was for a few friends who couldn't make it)
@@thejondohhshow You sound like a good friend to do that for your buddies who couldn't make it.
@@NandorTheRelentless76 Thanks!
How good was Delusional? I've had it in my head since the show.
I have re-watched my own video 3 times now lol. It has definitely stuck with me. So good!
Cave in dude wrecked it for me.
Wrong band for that amount of energy.
To each is own. Hard disagree. Brodsky is one of my favorites
@@thejondohhshowgreat for cave in and mut man but not quicksand.
Like slapping Kerry king in the rolling stones.
This venue has the worst sound.
I have been in many worse…..you must have massively high standards?
Icinic, too bad all other albums are no good
Those are fighting words! Manic is awesome
One extremely important thing that I have to point out...this sounds just as good, if not better, than the freakin' studio recording, and when a band can perform material live, and it sounds this f**king good, that means a band is even more bada*s. So many bands sound like pure s**t live, compared to their studio recordings, and I just lose all respect for them. Quicksand, however, is the real f**king deal. I've only gotten to see them live, once, way back in the mid '90s, after Manic Compression came out, and even then, they were f**king killer live.
They are amazing live! I have been lucky enough to see them a ton since the 90’s. Will be seeing them again twice on the next tour with Hot Water Music too. They are can’t miss at this point! Is that tour coming near you? Go if you can…….
@@thejondohhshow Unfortunately, no dates/locations near me, or near my State, through this year, from what I've seen online.
@mikevogler5455 dang....that stinks. You live in Guam?
@@thejondohhshow No, within the US, but unfortunately, just not in a State that shows any shows online that will be anywhere around me.
@@mikevogler5455 Hopefully soon! Thanks for checking out the video.
